"I think they went to the other world."

I rubbed my temples. Those good for nothing people. They ruined my plans.

"Master, if I do say so myself I think they just made our job easier"

"Really. And why would you say that?" I asked

"Because now they'll bring the girl to us."

I thought about it. It's true. Those people can bring me the girl. Just like it was their fault before, it will be their fault again. History does repeat itself. Some people just never learn.....

"I want to go home"

I looked over at Gomin. This was the sixth time he had said he wanted to go home. We were sitting in History class and I was trying to take notes but he wouldn't let me.

"Then go home." I said

"You know I can't." He whined

"Ok. Now that you've realized that, can you be quiet so I can take notes."

And with that I went back to the lesson

"Ok kids, I'm going to give you guys a project and you'll have to be in a team of two people. I've decided to let you chose your partner and then come to me and I'll give you your topics" said our History teacher.

"Hello partner" Gomin said with a smile.

"And what makes you think I want to be your partner?" I questioned with a raised eye brow.

"Because I'm good looking and amazing and you can't get enough of me." He replied, cheekily

I continued to stare at him.

"Or because I will probably fail without your help since I don't take notes or pay attention in class." he said giving me a pleading look.

I sighed "Uhhh fine" I said

The truth is I would have been his partner either way. It's only been a few days, but we've become close. I feel as if he was my childhood friend. Almost as close as Danny and myself. Almost. And that thought scares me.

"Thanks Kiki" he said

Right after the words left his mouth, he instantly looked shocked. He has never called me that before. Suddenly my visions blurred and I started to see something. There was a boy and a girl, twins. And I was there as well except I was a little girl. Maybe 5.

"Kate, Kate" said another girl running towards us.

"What is it, Sinaya?" the girl, Kate asked.

"You took my lucky pen." complained Sinaya

"Kiki, Kiki" said a little boys voice from behind me.

I turned.

And then the vision was gone. All that was left was a dull pain in my skull.

What just happened? Who were those people?

"Mickey, Mickey" Gomin said snapping me out of my thoughts.

"Ya" I replied, a bit shakily.

"Are you ok? You kind of zoned out." He said looking worried.

"I'm fine. What did you just call me?"

"Huh?"

"You said thanks Kiki"

"Oh that. That's nothing. Just a nickname" he replied, turning away.

Okay.... I got up and told the teacher that Gomin and I were partners and he handed me our topic.

Just then the bell rang and I gathered up my thing. Gomin and I walked side by side to his locker.

"So you want to hang out after school?" he asked.

"Sorry. Can't. I'm going over to Danny's place." I replied

"Oh" he looked disappointed.

"But do you want to come over for dinner? Its Taco Tuesdays." I said

"What's that?" he asked.

I smiled

"Well you and your parents can come over and you'll find out." I said

"Cool. See ya later then"

"See ya" and with that I went to the parking lot in search of Danny. I found him talking to Hilary.

"Hey guys" I waved, walking towards them.

"Hey. My mom is over there so come on." Said Danny

We all walked over to his car and got in.

"Hello kids. How was school?" Danny's mom, Mrs Gordon asked

"It was good, thanks" I replied.

We talked until we got to his house. Hilary and I went to Danny's room while he went to the kitchen to get us some snacks.

He bought granola bars, chips, Oreos and soda

"Wow. Are we having a party?" I asked only half joking.

"Well you don't have to eat anything but I'm hungry" he said joining Hilary and I on the floor.

"Of course your hungry! When aren't you" I exclaimed.

"Well I want some of that Oreo." Hilary said.

"So how have you guys been, its been so long since we all hung out." Danny said, while eating some chips.

"I know. What's going on in your lives?" I asked

"Nothing. Freshmen year is boring. I thought it was supposed to be exciting." Hilary complained.

"To be fair, it's only been a few days." I said trying to be reasonable.

"Still" she grumbled

"Well anyone up for some video games?" asked Danny

We all agreed and spent the rest of our time playing and eating while talking about random things.

Around 6pm, Hilary and I decided to head home. Danny's mom offered to drive us home and by offered I mean left us no choice.

They dropped me off first. I said goodbye to my two friends, thanked Mrs. Gordon and walked inside my house.

"I'm home" I said, walking towards the kitchen knowing that's where my mom would be.

"Hey honey , did you invite Gomin and his parents for dinner?" my mom asked.

"Uh ya. Was that a wrong thing to do?" I asked feeling confused.

"No no, it's a great idea. I should have thought of it earlier." She replied

"Oh alright then. Well I'm going to go change." I said.

I went upstairs, to my room. I dumped my bag on the floor and went over to my closet. I didn't feel like putting on jeans so instead I put on a pair of comfy trousers that were a size too big and a sweater that fit perfectly.

I was on my way downstairs when I decided to go check on my siblings. I knocked on their door and got in. Their room was bigger than mine since they had to share it. It was a deep blue color and there were Spider-Man stickers and princess stickers here and there.

"Hey guys. How was school?" I asked

"It was ok" they simultaneously replied.

"So what are you up too?" I asked, sitting on the floor next to them.

"Our teacher said it wasn't possible to throw an egg from a two story building" started Jace

"Without cracking it. So we decided to prove her wrong." Janet finished.

"Well good luck with that. Oh and by the way, the neighbors are coming so behave yourselves."

"We always behave our selves" they simultaneously replied, giving me a cheeky smile.

"Right, sure. Well see ya later" and with that I left.

I walked downstairs and sat in the living room. I was flipping through the channel when the door bell rang. I went to answer the door. And standing there were my three new neighbors.

"Hi Mickey. How are you doing?" asked Mrs. Levin

"I'm good thanks Mrs. Levin. How are you?" I asked

"I'm good dear. And please call me Lorain.

I smiled

"Well lets go to the living room" I said

"Ok. But please can you tell us what Taco Tuesdays are?" Mr.Levin said.

I chuckled. I can't believe they don't know what it is.

"Well as you can tell by the name, we have Tacos every Tuesdays for dinner. Although we don't actually have Tacos every Tuesday." I explained, as we settled down on the couch.

"Hello. How are you guys? I'm glad you could join us for dinner" my mom said, coming from the kitchen.

"Ya. I mean there was so much traffic. And there was no parking space but we couldn't miss Taco Tuesdays" replied Gomin, with a wink

I chuckled "You live right next door." I said

"Well try walking behind a snail. That little thing was so slow. It was worse than traffic"

Wow this boy.

My dad was still at work but my mom and Gomins' parents all went to the kitchen while Gomin and I decided to stay back.

"So, did you have fun at Danny's?" Gomin asked.

"Ya."

"So he's like your best friend."

"Ya. He's my childhood friend. We trust each other very much and do almost everything together."

I smiled. It was true. When we were in the first grade he took my cake and ate it and wouldn't even give me an apology. Ever since then we have become the best of friends. And then in the sixth grade, Hilary came along after we met at the mall and fought over who got the last lipgloss that was left on the shelf.

I looked at Gomin and noticed he was staring hard at the floor, with a deep frown, and a very concentrated look on his face.

"Are you ok?" I asked

"Fine."

Just then my mom called me to set the table and Gomin helped. After a few minutes my dad came home and we all sat around the table. This time even Jace and Janet joined us.

"This Tacos are delicious." Levin complimented. He also insisted we call him just Levin.

"I have never eaten anything like it." Lorain commented.

"Well it's all over America." I said jokingly although I was amazed they have never tasted it before.

"So how is school, Gomin?" asked my mom.

"It's good. The people are nice." He replied

"Did you make any new friends?" asked dad

"No. Mickey is my only friend." he replied giving me a small smile.

"Ohhh Mickey has a boyfriend." teased Jace.

I rolled my eyes.

"He has eyes only for Mickey." continued Janet.

Everyone laughed except Gomin and me.

"So Gomin, have you thought about our project? Any ideas?" I asked, trying to change the subject.

"Oh you two are working on a group project?" asked Levin

"Ya. After Mickey begged me to be her partner I had to say yes. With a big heart like mine it was impossible to say no, especially when she was close to tears." Gomin said, cheekily.

"That's not how I remember it" I said.

"Well that's how it happened"

As if anyone was going to believe that. After a few minutes we were done and helped clear the table. The adults decided to watch a movie and the twins went to their room to continue on their "project" so I gave Gomin a tour around the house.

"And lastly, this is my room" I said

He whistled. "You must like reading." he said looking at my shelf full of books.

"Love it."

He walked over to my bed and looked at the picture of my family and friends. He looked close to tears.

"D-do you miss your friends from Las Vegas?" I asked. That was the only explanation for his behavior. He's been acting weird all night.

"Ya. I had a very close friend. She's a girl and one day she left without saying goodbye. I miss her." He said wistfully.

"Oh, I'm sorry" An awkward silence passed by

"I'll be right back." I said

I went to the basement and got a board game I used to play with my family.

"What's that?" asked Gomin eyeing the board game as I entered.

"It's a board game. Lets play."

"Cool. But don't cry if I beat you. I'm really good at this" he bragged as we sat on the floor.

*15 minutes later*

"This is the most useless game ever created" complained Gomin.

"Just because you lost all the rounds doesn't mean it's the most useless game." I replied with a laugh.

"Ya it does. I'm good at every game."

"Except this one."

"Exactly. Because you don't consider this a game."

I rolled my eyes "Just roll the dice."

He rolled the dice and lost. Yes now I have a big chance of winning this round as well.

Just then Gomin pushed the board game, messing everything up.

"Whoops, my bad" he said, giving me a fake innocent look.

"I can't believe you just did that"

"It was an accident. Geez!"

"Sore loser" I muttered.

"What did you call me?"

"Nothing."

"Kids. Come down stairs." my mom yelled, interrupting our banter.

"Race you downstairs." and with that he raced off.

He is such a kid. Wait, so am I..
I went downstairs to find everyone standing at the front door.

"This was nice. We should do this more often. Maybe next time it can be at our house."said Lorain

"That is if there is no traffic." I said looking at Gomin.

"Of course." Chuckled Levin

"Well goodnight." Lorain said as she left, followed by Levin.

I went over to Gomin to say goodbye, when he took me in a bear hug. I couldn't breath.

"Can't....breath" I said

"Oh right. Sorry"

"It's cool."

"Well see ya around" he said

"Good night." I said as I closed the door.

I turned to find Jace and Janet.

"Ohhh someone's boyfriend just gave them a big hug" said Jace.

I rolled my eyes. "Good night, I'm off to bed."

"She's going to go and start day dreaming about Gomin." Janet said

I went to my room, took a hot relaxing shower and settled in my bed.

I started thinking about everything that's happened so far. I like the new neighbors. Gomin was fun to be around with and his parents were really nice.

I turned on my side to get more comfortable when I felt something digging into my spine. I sat up and looked and found a key. A big key. The top was shaped like a palace. Other than that it looked pretty normal but also....magical?

I grabbed it and instantly my head seared with pain. I suddenly started to see a vision.

There was a man and a girl. The girl was me but I was younger. Maybe 6.

"You can do it. Just think of your favorite place" said the man

"I can't. I don't have one." my little girl self replied

" You can do it. Just close your eyes and the first image that pops into your mind will be the place." The man advised.

I closed my eyes.

The vision ended and I was left with a dull headache. What the heck was that? I looked down at the key in my hand. Something is most definitely not right.
