I was sitting on my bed, reading a book when Gomin came in.

"Oh my gosh!! Your reading again!" he exclaimed.

I came back to Charilot the next morning. I hadn't said bye to either of my siblings and I have been in a bad mood ever since then.

I rolled my eyes. "Yes. Yes I am reading again." I replied.

"Why? Your life is a book itself. You can write a book about your self. A good book has shocking secrets and charming boys and betrayal. Well you are a part of a magical kingdom. And I am a charming boy. Now we just need someone to betray you." Gomin said, taking a seat next to me.

"Oh gosh."

"Look. I know your in a bad mood and I'm sorry you couldn't tell your family."

"Whatever."

We sat in complete silence for a few minutes.

"When are we going to tell everyone about the letters?" Gomin asked.

I sighed. "Lets tell them now. But only Kate, Kameron and Robby. No one else."

"Ok. I'll call them."

Gomin left and I sat there waiting. I was thinking about the letters. Maybe it wasn't a smart idea, telling them but I needed all the help I could get. And besides, what Stark said was true. People usually betray people when they feel like the people that loved them didn't trust them.

After a few minutes, Gomin came back followed by my three siblings.

"Hi Mickey. Gomin said you had something important to tell us." Kameron said, taking a seat on my bed.

Kate, Robby and Gomin settled on the floor.

"Ya..... Look guys it's a secret. And you have to promise not to tell anyone. I mean it." I said

"Ok. What is it?" Kate asked

"Guys, not even Sorak and Tara. No one." I said again.

"Wow. This must be serious." Robby said.

"It is." I replied.

"Ok then. Spill." Kameron said.

I took out the letters and did what Kameron said.

"I can't believe you didn't tell us this whole time." Kate said, shaking her head.

I told them everything, including the bracelet and the warning about Stark and even about the Orb.

"I wanted to tell you, I promise. But Z threatened me. I couldn't take the risk." I said.

"But how come you told Gomin? We're your family!" Robby exclaimed.

"Hey. What's that supposed to mean?" Gomin asked, looking hurt

"Well it doesn't matter now. What matters is that she told us and we might actually solve the problem this time." Kameron said, as calm as ever.

I was amazed with Kameron. Throughout the explanation, Kate and Robby were shocked and kept interrupting while Kameron calmly listened.

"So who do you think Z is?" Kate asked.

"Well I don't know anyone whose name starts with Z." I said.

Kameron looked at the ceiling, lost in thought. "It could be a Lari." he said.

"What? Why would you think that?" Gomin asked.

"Well, Laris have Zs on their temples. So it's possible that that is why they wrote that." Kameron explained.

I stared at Kameron. "That's brilliant! Why didn't I think of that." I said.

Kameron just shrugged.

"Ok. But who could it be?" Robby wondered.

"Maybe Tori." Kate said.

"Or Jemin." Kameron suggested.

"I don't think it's Jemin." I said.

"Why?" Kameron asked.

"Well.....you see. Gomin and I went to talk to him on Christmas. He kept a secret this whole time." I replied.

"What secret?" Robby asked.

I don't know why but I didn't want to tell them about the riddle that Sam gave Jemin. For some reason, it didn't feel right. So I decided to tell them only half the truth.

"Apparently, there might be a spell that can break the curse in The Great Book which can help along with the bracelet." I said

"Ya we know that." Robby said.

"Ya. But only a Lari can do that." I replied

"So we get a Lari. Maybe Fany can do it." Kate replied.

"No, you guys don't understand. Only Laris can do it. But for a curse made by someone and in order to break it, the person from the prophecy is the only one that can break it."

"But your the person from the prophecy......and your not a Lari." Kate said.

Complete silence.

I looked at Robby. He was staring hard at the floor. Suddenly he got up, punched the wall and left, slamming the door shut behind him.

I sighed. "Oh gosh."

"This doesn't make sense" Kate said, looking frustrated.

"I think I understand what the original Malign had in plan." Kameron said.

"What is that? And what's his real name? I'm tired of calling him the original Malign." I said

"His name was Darwin." Gomin said.

"Darwin? Your kidding right? No way his name was Darwin!" I said, laughing.

"I'm dead serious. He hated his name." Kate chuckled.

"Anyways, I think he made the prophecy with you in it, knowing that only a Lari can break the spell. But your not a Lari. Your half Lari and so the curse would be unbreakable." Kameron explained.

I thought for a second. That was actually pretty smart.

"But we have to try to find The Great Book. We already have the bracelet. We can't just give up." I argued.

"I never said we should give up. I'm just telling you what I think. And it might be wrong." Kameron said.

"Well we'll help you look for the book." Kate said.

"Thanks."

"Ok. Lets forget about Z for a second. Who do you think is betraying us?" Gomin asked.

"Definitely not Stark or Fany." Kate replied.

"Ya. Tara and Sorak said the same thing during the meeting when James suggested Stark." I said.

"Maybe Tori?" Kameron suggested.

"Guys, I think......maybe it's James." Kate said.

"What? Why?" I asked, shocked.

"Well think about it. James doesn't want to rule Larington but he keeps on getting forced and you know he never plays by the rules. And If it were me, I would make you guys think it's someone else so you won't suspect me and he might be doing that. And plus, he was there when you found out about Sam. Or it's the kings or queens or Jordan which I doubt." Kate explained

"But...." I trailed off. She did have a point.

"Look, I don't want it to be James. But we have to be careful. This is our family and our kingdom in danger. We never suspected Sam and we almost lost the war." Kate said.

"Ya. Your right." Kameron said.

"But James wouldn't do that to Jordan." Gomin said.

"Sam did it to Stark. His own son." Kameron replied.

They all looked at me. I sighed.

We had been talking for a few hours, trying to figure out who Z was and who might be betraying us. But then we gave up and parted our ways.

I decided to take a walk. I put on a coat and boots and left.

It was around 5pm and the weather was chilly. I shivered and made my way.

I was lost in thought. I started thinking about Jace and Janet. We have never fought like this before. I mean we argue like any other sibling but this time it was different. I wish I could tell them. And Hilary still hasn't talked to me. Danny is upset even though he tells me he is fine. I know it's because he doesn't want me to feel guilty which makes me feel twice the guilt.

And then there was Robby. He was so upset today. I've never seen him act like he did today. NEVER. He is always cheerful and even when he was sad, he was never violent.

When did my life become like this? I sighed. I looked at my surrounding and realized I had walked to The Gate.

Wow. I can't believe I walked that long. I stared at The Gate. I looked at Dormaselor. If only it didn't kill me slowly, I would have gone there. I shook my head and left.

I was lost in thought when I bumped into someone. I fell from the impact and stared up.

"I'm so sorry. I didn't see you there." I apologized.

"It's fine, princess." the person replied

Oh no. I can never forget that voice. And the way he said princess in a mocking tone.

"Cole."

"I'm glad you remember me." he said, smirking.

"Ya. Well I'll be on my way now." I said, turning to leave.

"Aw come on. You don't want to hang out with your dear friend, princess?" Cole said.

I rolled my eyes. "Your annoying."

He chuckled. "You shouldn't call me annoying. I am royalty ."

"What are you talking about?" I asked.

"I am a prince. My dad is the king of Dormaselor."

I stared at him, shocked

"Don't look so shocked, princess."

"Your father is the king?"

"Yup. King Jared." he announced, proudly.

"Oh wow. Ok." I replied, not knowing what to say.

"Yup. Well, I'll see you around princess." Cole said, waving goodbye with that annoying smirk.

"Bye." I said, walking away.

I got home, feeling cold. I knocked on the door but no one answered so I just used the spare key I always carry around.

I got in but nobody was in the main room. It was quite which is unusual. Suddenly I had a bad feeling that something was wrong.

I walked upstairs and saw one of the maids.

"Excuse me. Where is everyone?" I asked her.

"They are in Kate's room. She had an accident." the maid replied, looking sad.

I felt cold all over. "What do you mean she had an accident?" I asked. I didn't wait for a reply. I raced upstairs to Kate's room. I didn't bother knocking.

"Kate?" I questioned.

Kate was laying on her bed. Sorak and Tara were standing by her side and Chase by the other.

"Hi Mickey." she said with a smile.

I didn't reply. All I could see was the cast on her leg.

"What happened?" I asked.

"Oh this. No big deal. I broke my leg." she said.

"How?"

"I was taking a walk and someone came from behind me and hit my leg with something." she said.

"Wait, what? Who?" I asked, confused.

She shrugged. "I didn't see him. He was wearing a mask but I could tell he was male because of his body shape."

"I don't understand. Why would anyone do that?" I asked.

"I don't know." she replied.

"Thank goodness I was passing by. I saw the man but I was too far away to warn her. I called an ambulance when I saw him hit her and she screamed." Chase said.

"How is your leg now?" I asked.

She shrugged.

"The doctor said she would be fine in a couple of days. It was serious but they used a little magic." Sorak said.

"Why didn't they use magic and just fully heal her?" I asked.

"Because that would be too much for her to handle. Magic has to be used carefully or else it might kill." Tara explained.

I sat next to Kate and gave her a hug. "I'm sorry this happened." I said.

"It's fine."

Just then Kameron raced in. He banged the door open.

"Kate. What happened?" he asked, loudly.

"Chill bro. I'm fine. Some dumb guy hit me and left." Kate said.

"What? Why?" Kameron asked.

"No idea."

"Who the hell was it?" he asked.

For the first time, I saw Kameron losing his calm. Not completely but just a tiny fraction. But it was still a fraction that I've never seen him lose.

This will probably be the only time I see him lose his calm even if its a small fraction.

We stayed by Kate's side. Gomin and Robby came after a while and we told them what happened.

It was late at night when we all finally left her side. She begged us to just leave but Kameron stayed behind. Even Chase wouldn't leave until she forced him. Sorak offered to give him a ride and they left.

I went to my room, feeling very depressed. How did all this happen? And who was the man?

I had a bad feeling about this.

I checked my phone to find 5 missed calls from Danny. I sighed. I was supposed to talk to him today.

I threw my pillow in frustration.

I decided to take a shower to calm my nerves down and was about to go to bed when I saw a letter.

The letter. I groaned. I was not in the mood of this nonsense. I was very pissed and frustrated. But I still picked up the letter.

"So you decided to tell your family. I told you not to upset me. Now you shall face the consequence. Well....I guess Kate did'

I stared at the letter, shocked beyond words. Z broke Kate's leg. Or he hired someone to do it. Either way, Z had something to do with it.

I put the letter down. I don't care what he says, Z is my enemy and I will get my revenge once I find out who he or she is!
