Reacting to My Town
I will do your requests eventually guys!! Sorry! I'm busy doing the usual shit that takes over my life, and I've had a bit of writer's block with the requests. :/ I saw another author do this with The Beatles [I can't remember which one], so I thought it'd be funny to do it. [That is where I live above. It is very pretty but not usually as sunny]. XD
Mike: This is such a beautiful place, you must love it here!!
Me: Yeah, I'm proud to live here. It's a bit dull at times, and there's not much to do in town if you've been living there for 14 years, so everyone likes to go to Newcastle for fun. It's also slightly annoying that everyone knows everyone in this town, but I still love it.
Davy: There's so many horsey people here, including you! I feel at home.I love your horse too.
Me: Wow, thanks. He's such a sweet lad and I love him to bits. I can't believe I've had him over a year already!!
Peter: Can we meet some of the locals??
Me: Aye, I'll take you to the stables.
*Monkees are transported magically to the stables*
*2 little kids - one 2, the oldest 4 - run over to me when I come to the stables. They yell 'Becca!', running into me and hugging me, then looking up at me and giggling*
Me: These are the two kids I told you about. They're very good at leading in the big horsies with me, aren't you?
*They both nod their heads and giggle. The youngest toddles up to Micky and says:*
"Are you alreet pal?"
*Micky nods uncertainly, and I laugh at how northern a two year old can sound. It's so cute! They boys talk to people at the stables, and I ask them what they think.*
Micky: I couldn't understand a word anyone said! And when you spoke to them, I couldn't understand you either!!
Peter: I love the place, but I feel like you have to be a local to fit in and completely love it. The culture is actually very different to most places in England. It was lovely to visit though.
Davy: I loved the wildlife, but even I couldn't understand anyone! I'm English too!! And a northerner.
Me:*laughing* You don't even have a Manchester accent!! [Yep, sorry to inform you American Monkees fans, but Davy has a south east accent, not a Manchester one. I feel like I just killed part of the fandom then.]
Mike: I love it too, and I love how close everyone is to each other. I like their accents and their traditions, and the fact they're not like the rest of England. It's a lovely, independent town.
Hope you enjoyed that, and maybe learnt a few things!! [Though some of you may be crying about Davy's accent. Sorry. :/
