Phoebe's POV

Max is being so annoying today. This morning he literally levitated my breakfast across the room. It's been a month since my baby sister Chloe has been born. I am very happy that I don't have to keep my superhero secret from Cherry anymore. I'm in choir class and a girl that I don't recognize walks in.

"Hi I'm new." The curly brown haired girl says, holding up her schedule. The principal walks in behind her. "Phoebe Thunderman. You are to show Miss Light around school today. Understood?" he says. I nod and the girl comes over to me. "So do you have a first name or should I just call you Miss Light?" I asked jokingly. She laughed, "My name's Jennifer, but please, call me Jen." she said smiling. The bell rang and I motioned for Jen to follow me. "C'mon I'll show you around." I said, exiting the classroom. "So how long have you been here?" I asked. "Oh I just moved here over the weekend so not long. I haven't really had a chance to make any friends yet." she said. I smiled and linked arms with her, "Well you just made one." I responded.

I walked her around the school. I showed her where all of her classes were, most of them were mine, and where to locate the restrooms and water fountains. Lastly, I showed her where her locker was. And, of course, that was when Max decided to show up. He drove in on his skate board and nearly knocked Jen down but, surprisingly, Jen moved out of the way in time. "Hey Pheebs. Who's the new girl?" "Max this is Jen Light. Jen this is my annoying twin brother Max." I said. She smiled and held her hand out, "Nice to meet you Max. Well Phoebe thanks for showing me around today it was really helpful. I have to go home now, still a bunch of unpacking to do. See you tomorrow?" she said. "Yep. I'll see you in choir." I responded nonchalantly. She nodded, smiled, and then waved goodbye as she went home.

"She seems nice." Max said. "Yeah well she is and she's my friend" I said. I started walking home and Max followed.

When we got home mom and dad were sitting around. "Hey mom. Hey dad." Me and Max said together, I swear I get so annoyed at that. Mom was setting seats at the dinner table, but there were 3 extra spots. "Hi kids. We're having guests for dinner." mom said. "Who?" Max asked. "Some new neighbors. I met them today. Well I met Sandra today. She, her husband, and their daughter just moved here and I invited them for dinner so get ready." mom said. "Mom! Nora won't stop shooting me!" Billy complained, running downstairs. "Now kids you know the rule. No powers while the neighbors are here. Now go get cleaned up." Billy nodded and supersped upstairs along with Nora. The doorbell rang. "Phoebe could you get that it's probably the new neighbors." mom asked.

I nodded and went to get the door.
