ARIEL: *smiles at him and steadies herself*

RAOUL: *smiles at her* Who are you? You look a little lost.

ARIEL: *opens her mouth to speak but nothing comes out*

RAOUL: Are you okay? *looks concerned*

ARIEL: *nods and motions to her throat*

RAOUL: *looks a bit confused* You can't speak?

ARIEL: *nods solemnly*

RAOUL: *face crumples slightly* I thought you reminded me of someone but I guess I was wrong. The girl I know could sing.

ARIEL: *looks at him and wants to tell him she is but knows it's impossible* *stumbles a bit and uses him as support*

RAOUL: *wraps an arm around her shoulder* Here, I'll take you back to the palace and you can stay with me for a little while. *begins to lead her back*

ARIEL: *nods and smiles, looks out at the ocean and sees a bit of a fin but shakes it off as she's lead toward the castle*

ERIK: *smirks and swims away to find a girl*

RAOUL: *leads her to the castle*

ARIEL: *looks around in awe of everything

RAOUL: *shows her to her room* You may stay here as long as you need to. I will send a maid to help you dress and show you to the dining hall for dinner.

ARIEL: *nods as he leaves and goes around the room looking at everything* *picks up perfume and looks at it curiously*

MAID: *knocks on the door*

ARIEL: *puts the perfume back and opens the door*

MAID: *walks in* Good afternoon, Ma'am.

ARIEL: *grins at her and let's her in*

MAID: The prince sent me to help you get ready. He also informed you cannot speak so I understand. Now, allow me to show you to your bath.

ARIEL: *is confused but follows*

MAID: *leads her into another room and draws her bath* You will bathe here. I'll fetch some soup. *goes to a cabinet and gets some*

ARIEL: *tries to step in with her clothes still on*

MAID: Ma'am! You have to take your clothes off. Then you get in! *looks at her in slight surprise*

ARIEL: *feels embarrassed and takes off her clothes and places them beside the bath and gets into the water, liking the feel of it on her feet*

MAID: Now, here's some soap. Use it to clean some of that grit and grime off of you.

ARIEL: *takes it and slowly begins to scrub herself, the soap occasionally slipping out of her hand*

MAID: *smiles and walks out for a moment to fetch her some clothes*

ARIEL: *plays with the bubbles, enjoying the bath*

MAID: *walks back in with a pink dress draped over one arm*

ARIEL: *looks at her and stops playing as to not make a fool of herself*

MAID: It's alright to play in the bubbles. I do it too. *smiles kindly at her*

ARIEL: *grins widely and makes shapes out of them*

MAID: *smiles* Alright, finish up and I'll get you ready for dinner.

ARIEL: *finishes and steps out of the tub*

MAID: *hands her a towel* dry off.

ARIEL: *dries herself with it, learning fast*

MAID: Now, I'll help you dress. *hands her some undergarments to put on*

ARIEL: *puts on the bra just fine but has trouble with the panties for a second before fixing it*

MAID: *nods and helps her with the dress*

ARIEL: *gets in it and is stunned by how she twirls in it*

MAID: *shakes her head slightly in wonder* One would think you've never worn a dress before.

ARIEL: *nods to her, looking at herself in the mirror*

MAID: follow me. *leads her out of her room*

ARIEL: *follows her*

MAID: *leads her to the dining room*

ARIEL: *smiles as she walks in, looking beautiful*

GRIM: *is talking to the prince* You cannot waste your time searching for that girl

RAOUL: I can't stop! She's perfect!

GRIM: There are so many women out there... Eligible maidens

RAOUL: There is no one like her!

ARIEL: *sits down at the table*

GRIM: We will continue this chat later, Prince Raoul.

RAOUL: I won't change my mind. *smiles at Ariel* hello, allow me to introduce you to Grim. Grim, this is the pretty maiden I found on the beach today.

GRIM: A pleasure to meet you young lady. *smiles* I apologize for the prince's childishness.

RAOUL: I was no being childish!

GRIM: manners... Please don't shout in front of a lady...

RAOUL: *frowns* *ignores comment and calls for the servant to bring in dinner*

ARIEL: *sits and sees a fork and grins, picking it up*

SERVANTS: *bring the food out*

RAOUL: *smiles and picks up his fork and begins eating* Please, everyone, eat!

ARIEL: *takes it giddily and starts to brush her hair with it*

RAOUL: *arches and eyebrow* Um, why don't you eat something? *asks her politely, unsure how to address her strange behavior*

ARIEL: *feels again left out and take it out of her hair and begins to eat*

RAOUL: *smiles slightly and shoots a glare at Grim to make him smile*

GRIM: *smiles uneasily* Where is she from again..?

RAOUL: *whispers* I don't know.

GRIM: She's an odd woman...

RAOUL: that's no reason to not be kind her.

GRIM: True... You know... She is very pretty... She could be the one.?

RAOUL: the girl I'm looking for could sing. She can't even speak. *whispers*

GRIM: *sighs*

ARIEL: *finishes eating*

RAOUL: *smiles* Now, what would you like to do, miss?

ARIEL: *looks outside at the beach and points*

RAOUL: You want to go to the beach?

ARIEL: *nods happily*

RAOUL: *stands up and grins* Then we shall. Good day, Grim. *takes her hand and leads her outside*

ARIEL: *smiles and loves the breeze*

RAOUL: *picks up a shell and gives it to her* here, isn't this pretty?

ARIEL: *smiles and takes it, nodding and putting it in her hair*

RAOUL: *watches her* You're an odd girl, miss.

ARIEL: *giggles silently and blushes*

RAOUL: do you have a name?

ARIEL: *nods*

RAOUL: is there any way for you to tell me?

ARIEL: *thinks and gets out the seashell and kneels in the sand, using it to spell out 'Ariel'*

RAOUL: *smiles* Its a lovely name, Ariel!

ARIEL: *grins and puts the seashell back in her hair, then suddenly hears singing in the distance*

RAOUL: *his eyes widen and he stares into the distance* Do you hear that?

ARIEL: *nods and listens further*

RAOUL: That voice! I know it!

ARIEL: *recognizes it's her voice and is shocked to see a woman coming towards them, singing*

RAOUL: *walks towards her entranced* Its her!

ARIEL: *lets him see her and she steps back, tears threatening to fall*

RAOUL: *walks towards her* Miss! *can't stop staring at her* *leaves Ariel behind*
