"God what is it?!" Kokichi groaned, moving a bit away from Shuichi with his blankie over his head. Shuichi also ended up just looking over at my phone that was ringing over and over again. "I got it! Jesus...I'm coming." He said getting up from where he was in Shuichi's arms.

He stomped over to the phone feeling infuriated that his time with Shuichi was interrupted by some phone call. When he saw it was Kaede calling him, his eyebrow raised. Why would she be calling him?

He looked over at Shuichi, confused seeing him give a shrug to him. Shuichi could tell by the way he reacted that it must have been Kaede. Sure they are on better terms...but Kokichi still has a silent grudge against Kaede from what happened at the party, what she ended up doing to her pose, as well as what she said to him and others.

"Hello?" He said into the phone hearing Kaede speak up a bit. He could tell her voice was a little broken...almost as if she was crying, but he wasn't going to press her about that for the time being.

"Ah hello Kokichi, I wanted to ask you a favor." She said getting straight to the point. Kokichi paused before giving a response, "Okay...what's the favor?"

"Well...I just found out that my parents are sending me to a summer camp that is more like a boarding school for musicians...so I won't be able to spend the summer with all of you guys. I know you don't see me in the highest sense, but I wanted to ask if you and Shuichi would take photos and videos for me of your summer with the others and maybe even ask them to do the same, so it's like I'm not missing time there...even though I'm not there." Kokichi was confused by the request. Not because she was leaving so suddenly, just because of how she ended up asking him first instead of literally anyone else.

"Sure, but only if you end up giving me a favor in return." He said with a smirk on his face. Shuichi just rolled his eyes and moved over to wrap his arms lazily around Kokichi's shoulders with the blanket still wrapped around him. "Ah...okay, I can do that." She said with a pause. Kokichi smiled at this.

"Alrighty! Me and Shuichi will do that for you!" He smiled once more before they exchanged goodbyes and he hung up the phone. "Oh Shu~ we are going to be doing a digital diary of the summer we will spend with our friends for Kaede, but you know I would never think of including our little moments alone in this~ unless Shumai does something so horrible that I could never forgive him!" He teased him.

Shuichi just sighed. "Kokichi, why would I do anything like that...you do know I'm the one holding you right now right?" He said quietly. This made Kokichi blush a bit while he hesitated. "Ah- well sure." Kokichi sounded a little annoyed, making Shuichi laugh at him in a more tired tone.

"Well, now that that's out of the way...could we watch a movie so I can take a nap?" He asked, letting his eyes close a bit. Kokichi sighed and moved with him back over to the couch. "Okay~ but only on one condition,"

"What's the condition?" Shuichi asked, feeling nervous and worried about what the suggestion could be. Kokichi did have a way of making things more--embarrassing.

"That you let me lay on top of you!" He said with a cute smile, making Shuichi have to take a moment so he didn't just forget how to breathe. After remembering how to breathe and calming his heart down he was able to give him a nod. "You don't have to ask," He whispered with a blush slowly consuming his face as he started the movie.

Kokichi quickly moved into his lap and laid down on his chest. This was after Shuichi had laid down on the couch and patted his chest letting Kokichi know that he could join him. It was a small action, but small cute things like this is what always made Kokichi want more of Shuichi. He was entertaining to Kokichi and Kokichi never wanted to waste a moment of the time they could spend together.

After about twenty minutes of the movie playing, Shuichi had already fallen asleep with Kokichi loosely wrapped in his arms. Kokichi smiled to himself and moved his hands to his chest before cuddling closer to him and letting his eyes soon come to a close.

Ah yes Road trips, always something Kokichi looked forward to--well when it was more of him with his close friends and maybe Shuichi...but when it was most of the people they knew at school it was less enjoyable.

"Ah, Kokichi--Don't be all pouty...you like being in the car when I'm driving, and get this, you even get to sit in the passenger's seat as me and Rantaro switch places driving every once and a while." Kokichi didn't even move an inch he just groaned.

"But it's not the same..." He whispered keeping his head on the bed while his arms dangled off the side. He was sulking on the top bunk...and it wasn't even the day of the road trip, it was the day before. And Shuichi knew that if Kokichi wasn't in the mood for it now, there would be hell to pay later.

"But Koki..we can cuddle now so you can get the sleep you need, and then tomorrow I will give you anything you want if you will cooperate on this trip." When Shuichi said the words he immediately regretted saying " he would do anything" in the deal.

"Hmm...define cooperate." He perked up and sat up on the top bunk looking at Shuichi. "Well I mean just try to not annoy Rantaro and I while we are driving and just try to not lie as much...I know that will be difficult, but that's why I'm willing to do anything to help you do so."

"Do you mean 'anything' anything?" His smirk told Shuichi that even with this deal...there would be hell to pay. All of the possibilities of what Kokichi could make him do came into his brain and it made him anxious just thinking about it...but maybe even a little flustered.

"Yes I mean 'anything' anything...now can we get some sleep...I'm tired." He admitted finally letting his body slump a bit. Kokichi smiled and laughed a bit. "Okay sleeping beauty~ Let's get some rest and I promise that tomorrow I will cooperate."

"Okay...just get some sleep." He said holding out his arms so Kokichi could jump into them. "Aww my strong Shumai," He said, teasing him a bit, but Shuichi was a bit too tired to get flustered--well too flustered at the moment.

"Shhh," He whispered weakly, taking Kokichi in his arms to move him down into the bottom bunk where they could finally get some sleep together.

The road trip went as follows. Kokichi would get angry, Shuichi would comfort him, someone would anger Kokichi, Shuichi would comfort him.

Kokichi did promise to behave for Shuichi, but he didn't promise that he had to hide his anger...he just promised he wouldn't loudly take it out on another person to anger them as well. So Kokichi decided that for the trip he would only speak when spoken to or when he wanted Shuichi's attention.

And as everyone there soon found out. Kokichi is clingy. Really clingy.

Shuichi could barely find a moment where he could be alone during the trip as well as the breaks and also after. Kokichi wouldn't leave his side so if they wanted to hangout with Shuichi they would be hanging out with Shuich--and his boyfriend.

But all in all they were able to bond as a group and even take 20 photos for the album they were making for Kaede. They all made a goal at the beginning of the trip to take 200 pictures for Kaede to remember this summer. Eventually the number changed to 250- but after some argument it got put back at 200.

...

"Oh! Ibuki understands!" Ibuki jumped up and down for a moment while all the others they gathered were either looking exhausted or bored out of their minds.

"Kaede wants us to take photos for her to be able to give her the summer experience through photos!" Ibuki said, making Kokichi groan a bit. "Yes, Ibuki. We just went over that...anyways-" Kokichi said looking over at Rantaro and Chiaki.

"You two are still okay being the photo takers?" He asked before they both nodded. "Yes sir!" Rantaro said with a teasing salute. Kokichi rolled his eyes at that and looked over at Chiaki who was staring down the camera around her next.

"I think this should be fun," She said, not moving her head from where she was now holding the camera and messing with the settings.

"Alright- so that's taken care of- how many pictures will we be taking?" Kokichi asked the group before Shuichi raised his hand. "Well we could try to take 100- or maybe even 200? It is a whole three months of pictures..." He whispered at the end.

"That's a good count! I think we can work with that!" Nagito said before Hajime nodded in agreement. "That works for me."

"Alrighty---let this summer of memories begin!" Kokichi said, holding his hand out in the middle. The other students moved in to put their hand on top of his. "Okay on three-"

"One"

"Two"

"Three"

"Summer memories!" They all shouted at the same time before the meeting was over.

...

Summer will always be a time to cherish...

But one must remember that these summers will soon leave

Life will come between friends

And this summer will be full of loneliness

So cherish this moment

Before it's too late

Remember these memories

Because they are very precious in years to come

Don't ever let yourself take your friends for granted

Because they have helped shape who you will become.
