INTERVIEW WITH: @-astroboy

Me: What's behind your username?

-astroboy: My username is from my pen name, and it's a spin on a Japanese city, Jiangsu. (I am literally a pun.)

Me: What country are you from?

-astroboy: I am from the United States!

Me: Why did you join Wattpad?

-astroboy: Hmm, well I joined Wattpad mainly because I've always loved writing, but I knew that at my inexperienced age, I was not going to be published anytime soon. Also, because my friends kept talking about this site.

Me: *nods head* What was it like when you first started writing?

-astroboy: When I first started writing, I actually had no idea what to write. I was like, "What should I do now?" So, I started writing poetry. But it was very fun starting out in general. :)

Me: Where do you get your ideas from?

-astroboy: I get my story ideas mostly from real life and personal events. But sometimes I get ideas from the simplest things, like lyrics of a song. Everything sparks my imagination.

Me: How do you deal with Writer's Block?

-astroboy: Writers block? Well, to be honest, I'm not good with writer's block . . .  /sigh/ Instead, I just take a break from writing stories, and I just write about myself in my journal, I draw, I listen to music. Music can do wonders . . .

I eventually think of something, I just feel over worked when I get writer's block. If I just try to write, then I don't do a good job of it.

Me: Who are your favorite authors here on Wattpad?

-astroboy: I don't really have a favorite, but love the worlds of @pardonjikook, @wonuu_, and @wtkfics.

Me: What was your most embarrassing moment ever?

-astroboy: I think the most embarrassing moment of my life was when I accidentally slept on the shoulder of this guy I liked? I woke up, and he was so casual, he was just like, "Oh, you fell asleep?" I will never live it down.

Me: [OMG. 😳😂] Are there any stories you're working on that aren't yet published? If so, can you please tell us a little about it?

-astroboy: Oh yes, there are millions of drafts . . . /sigh/

I'm working on a story called, "Online", and it's basically about a girl with personal issues, and how on the internet she feels more love then her own home. It's supposed to bring out a nice message and hit the feels. It doesn't make sense now, but it will. 😊

I also have a Kim Seokjin fan fiction I'm working on, called "Why So Cold, Kim Seokjin?" And it's about how Jin is cold and introverted, but an unusual friendships sparks between him and the main character.

Lastly, I'm not sure if I'm going to make this a fan fiction or an original, but I'm going to make a story called Friends. It's like "I love my best friend" but with a twist.
