INTERVIEW WITH: @princess_ilhaam_786 :)

Me: What's behind your username?

princess_ilhaam_786: About two years ago, I won a local pageant and was crowned the Winter Princess. I guess the nickname Princess Ilhaam caught on pretty well, and I love it.

Me: [Wooaahh, awesome~ Congrats! :) ] What country are you from?

princess_ilhaam_786: Haha, Thanks. South Africa.

Me: Why did you join Wattpad?

princess_ilhaam_786: My sister accused me of having no life. I honestly haven't read a book unless I was forced to, which is why my sister convinced me to join Wattpad, and I guess reading has become a hobby now. Writing, I guess just happened...

Me: What was it like when you first started writing?

princess_ilhaam_786: I was horrible. I probably deleted all of my first chapters because they were so embarrassing. I also created a bunch of books initially, but forgot they existed.

Me: Where do you get your ideas from?

princess_ilhaam_786: I don't really know, I guess the main characters are my traits divided equally and placed into different situations and the actual stories would be ideas I've been bottling up for ages and probably inspired by events that took place during the course of my life, music, movies or other interesting stories.

Me: How do you deal with Writer's Block?

princess_ilhaam_786: I talk to my sister. She's a pretty amazing writer and we usually help each other deal with writer's block. We always keep up with each other's stories so that makes it a whole lot easier. On the rare occasion that that doesn't work though, I attempt to put ideas together on paper which usually ends up being a page filled with doodles with the name of the Book written multiple times amongst the doodles.

Me: Who are your favorite authors here on Wattpad?

princess_ilhaam_786: Millie Morgan (millie_), KatherineArlene, Jasmine Rose (foreversmilin) and HonourInTheRain

Me: What was your most embarrassing moment ever?

princess_ilhaam_786: That's a tough one because I have a habit of embarrassing myself in public. I guess it would be the one that I described in Chapter One of St. Kennedy's when Jessica slipped on something in the hallways and gracefully lifted her arms and pretended to be a bird, enjoying her few seconds of flight and freedom. That actually happened to me. A lot.

Me: [Lmao.] Are there any stories you're working on that aren't yet published? If so, can you please tell us a little about it?

princess_ilhaam_786: There are a few that have about a chapter in each but none that are far enough for me to understand yet, except Brietta's Kingdom.

Brietta's Kingdom - Fantasy, Adventure, Romance

It's about a girl who, all her life thought she would be the heir to her parents throne, but as she gets older, they reveal to her that she is not the heir. She's obviously very depressed and her curiosity gets the better of her and has her wandering off into parts of the kingdom she didn't know existed. She finds a place about a week or two after she turns fourteen and she starts visiting this place more and more often. It's not like her kingdom at all. It's a Kingdom where mythical creatures she only thought existed in her dreams lived. She makes new friends in the Magical Kingdom and falls in love with Christopher who she is yet to find out is the Prince and, therefore, the heir to the throne. One thing leads to another and he proposes to her on her 21st birthday and her dream of ruling over her own Kingdom is finally fulfilled.

Me: [That sounds awesome] *nods head* Is there anything you would like to add? Any advice or other things you would like to share for our fellow Wattpaders here?

princess_ilhaam_786: Thank You. *can't stop smiling*

My best advice would be to never stop beliebing (gotcha) *believing in yourself. Keep steadfast on your beliefs and pursue your passions. If you enjoy something, never stop doing it (even if people tell you that you suck at it). Remember, Haters are everywhere and that you should never stoop to their levels. Also, NEVER hate your haters because they also happen to be the people who pay the most attention to you. Don't stop dreaming, let your imagination control you and don't let anyone get in the way of what you believe in.
