In the middle of Texas on a sunny afternoon was a modernised house far from anyone else. There was a barn next to the house which looked old and rundown with red dark colour. Inside the barn there was a load of old and antique tech which was misplaced and messy. There were even old cars which were bent and scrapped but one was getting repaired as there were various noises coming from the car.

A girl with long brown hair in a ponytail and blue cool eyes was wearing a black tank top and shorts with her skin covered in black oil. She was using a wrench as she worked on a 1987 Porsche which looked half done and half old. She was focusing on what she was doing until she heard a loud thud making her sigh. She got up and went to the area where the thud emitted putting her tools down walking.

She stops walking as she comes upon a man on the ground with a brown box full of old computer components scattered around him. "Dad, are you okay?" she asks the man as she crouches down picking up the components that were scattered. The man groans and nods as he sits up and rubs his neck looking at the mess around him. "Yeah I am okay, I was trying to sort out the components for the new invention but tripped on a crate."

She sighs and lays her hand out for him as she picks all the components up putting them back in the box. The man looked and took it as he got up brushing himself off looking at his daughter. She looks at him and smiles a bit but looks at the box picking it up purring it on the counter. "I told you, you need to clean and organise better so you don't hurt yourself." she sighs leaning against the counter looking at her dad with some sympathy.

"What's the point though if it's gonna get messy anyway" he laughs a bit and walks to the box going through it seeing if anything was damaged during his fall. She stood next to him looking over the parts, seeing them over as well for any parts she can use for her projects. "How's the repairs going anyway Alexa." Alexa looks at her dad from the side humming as she is focusing on the parts in front of her. "It's going well, fixing up the Porsche real nice the engine runs but the exhaust pipe is busted." she states as she shrugs, smiling a bit.

Her dad nods and smiles looking at his daughter with a proud look as he finishes with the components leaving them in the box. "That's great sweetie, I am proud of you for taking on this challenge.'' She smiles hearing the happiness in his voice and looks at him with her eyes seeming to glow a bit blue. "Any news from uncle Lennox yet?" she asks him as she fiddles with a motherboard. "No but you might want to look outside for a surprise." he smirks at her and walks to the entrance as Alexa was confused but curiously followed.

She looked outside the open area of the house confused, seeing nothing until she heard a honk somewhere. Looking, she gasps with her eyes widened excitedly as she sees a black GMC pick up truck rolling in parking. The pick up truck driver seat opened up as a man jumped down on the ground with a cloud of dust from the ground. The guy smiles widely seeing Alexa and jogs over to her as alexa runs full sprint jumping into his arms hugging tightly. The man laughed and spun her around happily holding her.

"UNCLE LENNOX!" she shouted muffled in his shoulder as he grins holding her tight for a minute embracing her. Alexa finally got down from his hug looking at him fully as he wore his soldier green camouflage uniform and badge. He had dark brown short spiky hair with brown eyes with some stubble on his face. "Hey firecracker, how have you been? It's been a while." he states as she grins, nodding happily still in shock. "Great, been fixing up old cars and training still." he nods as he walks over to her dad who was watching the scene in front of him leaning against the barn with a smile.

The man approached her dad and held his hand out which her dad took and gave a side hug to the man patting his back. "Nice to see you again Lennox." Lennox smiles and nods agreeing "you too cade how's she been?" Lennox asks as cade smirks and looks at his daughter. "You know the usual, still arrogant and determined as ever." This made Lennox chuckle as Alexa glared at her dad hearing his comment. Alexa looks at her dad and Lennox but looks at the truck feeling compelled to it for some reason as she was curious as to why Lennox got the vehicle as it wasn't military based. She stares at it for quite some time until she feels a hand on her shoulder looking to see who it was.

She looks and smiles seeing her dad's face had a hint of worry on it as she didn't realise he even walked over to her. "You okay Alexa? You spaced out looking at the truck for a bit." she smiles and turns to him touching his hand on her shoulder. "I'm fine just admiring the truck uncle has, that's all." she shrugs as cade nods and smiles at her holding her shoulders pulling her in a side hug. "Ok well why don't we eat and catch up with Lennox, hmm?" She giggles and nods as they walk towards the house where Lennox was as she couldn't help but look at the truck one more time before going inside.

For an hour or so the three were just sitting round the table as they ate some tacos and had cool beverages due to the heat. Alexa was sitting across both her dad and uncle as she drank some coke while listening to her uncle adventures with his teammates. She smiles as she knew them and was close to them since they taught her how to fight and train with guns. She missed them mostly especially when she used to prank them and hide their guns for fun when she was younger.

Lennox just finished his story as cade smiles and chuckles seeing how Lennox never changed but he did look at his daughter seeing her smile and have joy from having her uncle back from his mission. "So firecracker apart from being adventurous what else have you done?" She smiles brighter at the nickname her uncle gave her as she thinks looking at Lennox. "Well I have been working on fixing an old 1987 Porsche that arrived a week ago." she explains as she thinks about her activities while Lennox grins and nods sitting back in his chair. "Apart from that? Nothing really, just the usual timetable." He nodded and shook his head knowing her well but knew something was on her mind as she had a thinking look.

""Go on, kid, ask away. I know you have a question to ask?" Alexa looks at her uncle as she thinks and glances at her dad who was listening but fiddling with his beer bottle. "Alright you got me, what's with the truck? I know you work in the military but the truck ain't really military you know." she asks as Lennox sighs looking down for a sec then looking up at her. "You know, you're too intelligent for your own good but to answer the question it was a gift I got from a hard worker and risking my lives." Alexa grins at the comment but nods understanding as it was suitable for his wife, Sarah, and his family.

"Well in that case you will have to get us one my old Alfie ain't doing to well.'' Cade jokes about his old blue pickup truck as Alexa snorts in reply. "Really dad, I can buy you one if you know this." Lennox shook his head but smiled at the two as they bantered but he suddenly felt a vibration in his pocket as he looked down grabbing it. Cade lightly pushes his daughter and ruffles her hair making her whine as he goes past to put the dishes in the sink. Alexa looks at her uncle but sees him looking at his phone with a sad but annoyed look. "What's wrong uncle?" Lennox looks up at his niece as he sighs rubbing his face getting up while putting his phone back in his pocket. "Sorry kid but they want me back at base with the truck."

She looks at smiles sadly but nods knowing he was needed urgently as she got up to say goodbye. Lennox sighs seeing the sad look but tries to ignore it as he feels guilty for leaving her again. "I'm sorry kid but maybe next week I can visit again." she looks and smiles as she hugged him tightly, feeling him return the hug back. He let her go as he ruffled her hair then walked to Cade patting his shoulder smiling a bit. "Good see ya again." Cade smiles a bit and nods in agreement as Alexa walks to the front porch waiting for her uncle. She got a shiver, feeling someone watching her.

However, the only thing that was on the property was her uncle's truck sitting there. She decided to walk over to it and examine it as she slowly ran her hand over the hood. She thought she felt it heat up under her touch. She ignored the feeling and went round the sides seeing how smooth and shiny it was with the sun reflecting off it. She went round the back and noticed the licence plate spelling out 'h1d3' as she was confused on the strange licence plate but left it. She heard some footsteps and talking as she got back to the front again seeing her uncle with her dad.

"Well thank you for the food and chat. It was nice catching up." Cade said to Lennox as he saw her daughter examine the truck with a fascinating look on her face. Lennox agrees as he also saw Alexa at the front of the truck making him observe her standing next to her. "He's a brute isn't he?" Lennox gestured smirking proudly of his vehicle as Alexa glances and chuckles nodding in agreement. "Yeah he is very fancy but has a soft interior." she pointed out as Lennox nodded, sighing.

He went to the driver's side and got in the vehicle as Alexa went to stand with her dad feeling his arm go around her shoulders. She smiles as Lennox starts up the vehicle hearing the engine roar to life. Lennox poked his head as he waved and smiled at the two Alexa doing the same with her dad. She watched her uncle reverse and left the property making her sigh leaving the duo together. "Come on, let's get ready to clean up, hmm?" Her dad asks as she nods, going back to the house to shower and getting ready for dinner. Cade follows as he watches his daughter go inside the house making him feel happy for having her as his daughter.

Meanwhile as Lennox was driving the truck back to the base he kept thinking of Alexa noticing how she is growing up. However, that's not all as he realises she's going to find out eventually about his secret but he already felt guilty for not telling them. He snapped out of it as he heard a gruff male voice speak up through the radio. "You okay Lennox? You have been quiet since we left." Lennox nods, sighing sitting back in his seat. "Just thinking Ironhide about Alexa. She's growing up." The voice hmms in recognition "she looks mature for her age but I understand your concerns. But she will soon learn of us in time like Optimus said." Lennox nodded as became quiet again while the truck now named Ironhide drove across the roads.
