Third Person POV

"Virgil, son, did you miss me?"

Virgil was too scared to answer, feeling on the verge of tears and a panic attack, instead deciding to hide his face more into his spider.

"Aww, theres no need to hide from your papa," Robert said, a sick twisted smile on his face.

"Robert, you stay away from him or so help me I'll-" Dean started.

"Or you'll what, Janus?" Robert said, not actually asking, moreso saying it as a threat to Dean.

Dean stopped talking.

"Now, Virgie, how would you like to come stay with papa at his house? It would be so much fun, we could play games and watch movies and meet a bunch of new friends! Whadya say?"

Virgil hesitated, not because he was debating it, but because he was scared, but he shook his head after a moment of hesitation, refusing Robert's offer.

Roberts face contorted from a kind yet sick smile to a straight, yet rage filled, face. His eyes went dark and his crouched posture looked stiff. He breathed a couple times, closing his eyes, calming himself down. When he opened them again, he looked a little better, still angry, but masking it behind kind eyes and a soft voice, hoping to make Virgil feel a bit better so he would talk to him.

"Why not, Virgil? Think about it, we could be a happy family again! Don't you want that?" Robert questioned.

"He said no, now fuck off and quite traumatizing him," Dean growled, trying not to raise his voice to cause another yelling match, but wanting Robert to get the hint and leave.

"He didn't SAY anything," Rob growled back, "Virgie, please, trust your papa, c'mere," he said more softly, turning his attention back to Virgil.

"Don't do it, Virgil," Logan, who was standing beside Virgil, whispered.

Virgil didn't move.

Robert's face became angry once more and he had run out of patience. He grabbed Virgil by the arm and pulled him to where he was in the middle between the kitchen and living room. Logan and Dean both were about to go for him and help Virgil but Rob pulled a knife on him before either of them could do anything. Not wanting Virgil to get hurt, they both stopped.

"Don't move! Or I'll give him a scar to match yours," he pointed the knife toward Dean before bringing it back to Virgils face so that it was touching his skin but not enough to hurt or cut him.

The two were now against the wall in the living room with Dean and Logan in front and furniture at the sides, making it difficult for Robert to go anywhere.

Virgil's eyes were full of fear and glossed over with tears that would not come out if he tried and his small figure was visibly shaking. What was he going to do? What could he do? Nothing. He was scared.

Suddenly, they began to hear sirens, and they were coming closer and becoming louder, until it was clear they were going to Dean's house. Someone had called the police. Robert soon realized this and his knife dug into Virgils skin a bit, causing the boy to yelp in terror as it began to go pierce through. The police were right outside the door now.

They quickly burst through the door, some aiming guns at Robert while two were trying to get Dean and Logan to stand back.

"Drop the weapon and let go of the child, NOW!" One of them ordered.

Robert hesitated, digging his knife more into Virgil's skin so a bit of blood was starting to come out of the penetrated area. Virgil was too scared to even feel it though and barely reacted other than his breath being caught in his throat.

"DROP IT NOW OR WE WILL OPEN FIRE!" The officer demanded once again.

Dean was about to shout no but was hushed by Logan who assured him they wouldnt do that with a hostage, they were just trying to persuade Robert to do as he was told.

Robert growled internally but dropped the knife. Virgil let out a breath he didnt know he had been holding but he was still too scared to move.

"Good, now let go of the child," the officer said, still a demanding tone in his voice, but not yelling, seeing as how Robert was being more cooperative and didnt want to piss him off.

Robert tightened his grip, causing Virgil to tear up a bit, before letting him go, shoving him forward a bit. Virgil was at first to shocked and scared to do anything, but quickly ran to his father once he saw Dean looking over at him worriedly.

Dean scooped Virgil up in his arms and checked him over, asking if he was okay over and over again in which Virgil didnt reply, but just silently cried.

"Now, put your hands up and slowly turn around."

Robert did as he was told.

"Put your hands on the back of your head and go down on your knees. No sudden moves or we will fire!"

Robert slowly did as instructed. He knew this was defeat. But he also knew there would be other chances. This war was not over.

"Robert Parsaul, you are under arrest for restraining order violation, child abuse and aggravated assault on private property," the officer said, putting handcuffs on him before leading him out the door to one of the vehicles.

Everyone went outside to watch him leave, Dean carrying Virgil who refused to leave his side at all, but at least he had stopped crying, though they both had red puffy eyes. Logan stood beside them, watching.

"This isnt over! I'll be back, Janus!" Robert yelled as the officer shoved him inside the back of the cop car.

Dean's grip on Virgil tightened and he took a deep shaky breath as an officer got into the front of the car and drove away, leaving the remaining few to question Dean, Virgil and Logan and make sure none were too badly injured.

Dean and Logan answered the questions obediently, the officers knew Logan, as he is a very well known lawyer in the area. Virgil refused to talk to the officers though, just hid his head into Dean's shoulder. The officers understood and didnt bother scaring the child or questioning him further.

Luckily they had enough first hand evidence that Dean wouldnt need to go to court again and Robert would have a much longer sentence than last time, so Dean and Virgil could finally live in peace.

Dean was a bit bruised up, but was otherwise okay. Logan was uninjured, of course. Virgil was okay other than the small, but deep, cut on his right cheek (same side as Dean's).

"So, Janus, huh?" Logan questioned once the officers had left.

Dean stiffened, then let out a sigh, knowing he would have had to tell them at some point, one way or another.

"Janus is my real name, my first name, Dean is just my middle name," Janus explained.

Logan nodded in understanding, not needing a further explanation.

Suddenly, Patton was running up to them, his baby blue eyes looking extremely worried.

"What happened? Why were the police here? Are you guys okay?" He asked, frantically.

"We're all fine," Logan assured his husband, "where are the boys?"

"Inside, they're watching-"

"VIRGIE WHAT HAPPENED?? ARE YOU OKAY??"

"DID SOMEONE DIE??"

Patton was interrupted as the twins came running up to make sure their friend was okay- well.. Roman was making sure Virgil was okay, Remus just wanted to see a dead body.

"He's okay," Janus told the twins, "just a bit shaken up, I think he just needs some space right now, okay boys?"

Roman nodded, a bit sad, but understanding.

Remus looked disappointed.

"So... no one died?"

Robert reveals Janus' real name (multiple times) and asks Virgil to come live with him so that they could be a happy family again. Virgil refuses and Robert gets angry, grabbing him and threatening to give him a matching scar like Janus'. Little did everyone else know, Logan called the police, who traced his location from his phone and showed up. Arresting Robert, who only managed to give Virgil a small scar on his cheek. Robert claims he'll be back again and is taken away. Virgil refuses to leave Dean's side the whole time. Patton and the twins come out to see what was going on and make sure everyone is okay. Remus is disappointed that no one died.
