Free day off....and a visit
Dagger's POV
My head was burning with yet another huge headache. I learned more ways to take down dragons in a easier fashion, but my arm....
We found out what my arm was called. I was marked by Boethia, duh, and was her 'child.' Also known as the Destroyer. I'm worse than Alduin right now. I lay down in my bed and closed my eyes. I haven't had a good night's rest since the incident and I still haven't got over it.
I manage to fall asleep, and I almost thanked the gods until I felt darkness wrap around me.
"Sweet Dagger....it has been too long." Boethia said.
"Boethia. What do you want? You already have taken my arm, what else do you need of me?" I hissed out.
"You look like you needed a hand. And I don't see Sithis anywhere. Why not let me help you instead?" She purred out.
"There is more than one member of the Dark Brotherhood!" I said crossing my arms. The darkness clinged to me more than I thought it would and I grunted.
"Because. You are his no matter what, but if you were to switch over to my realm, I would actually pay attention to my granddaughter." Boethia said.
"Granddaughter? W-" I stood in shock before I finished my sentence. Mother stood there before me with a loom of sadness on her face.
"Dagger....you wanted to know of your grandmother ever since you were little. I kept quiet of this because I hoped that you would turn to a path of light. But now that Boethia has contacted you aware me that you now are something dark. And on behalf of me now dead, I don't want to know. But you need to know this or you will be easily crushed by Alduin." Mother said.
She walked up to me.
"You were a follower of Boethia?" I said backing up.
"Not by choice. Boethia is your grandmother...." Mother said. I walked back a bit, my eyes widened.
"Boethia...is...this is why Ellna is a follower! Is this why when we were young you stressed her about dark lords instead of teacher her about the bow?" I shouted at the end.
"I thought you were going to be alright! I thought your sister was going to be marked!" Mother said.
"....what's this about you being dead?" I said after a long pause.
"Another daedra lord's follower killed me. Something about a dagger or mace. A weapon for sure." She said.
I nodded.
"Well now that is cleared up, Dagger, have you made your choice?" Boethia said floating towards me.
I looked down. "Both realms are dark as night, contain dead bodies of idiotic people. Both giving me a high position when I die because of my birth and choice. Both marked me as a potential bane of the world. All I have ever wanted really, was to have a clear mind." I said.
"Both are too similar to compare as separate realms. The only difference is the Lord." I said. I looked back up. "I wish for a couple of days." I muttered. Boethia nodded and I was sent back to my world and saw Brynjolf.
I sat up.
"Brynjolf? What are you doing here?" I said shocked.
"Arneiger let me in. I wanted to see you lass. I missed ya." He said hugging me. I grinned and hugged him back.
"It has been too long. How is the Guild?" I said looking back up to him.
"Great. Also, we have permanent body guards for the Guild. No incident ever since." Brynjolf said. I sighed, relieved.
"Good. You have been a sight for sore eyes." I said smiling.
"Good to know that you miss me too lass." Brynjolf said. I grinned and pulled him towards the bed and he landed on me.
"Time to sleep lass?" He said looking outside, which was dark. I nodded and we went to sleep.
I had no nightmares that night.
