Dagger's POV

I walked in after Arneiger into a library. My arm stung a little and I sighed.

"We will start here." Arneiger said as he got to a book self with heavy books. I shook in fear.

"Books....why are there so many books?" I said as he handed me one.

"To help you. Now read the first half of that book and we will stop for today." Arneiger said and I nodded as I opened the book.

'Dragons are able to speak through our language, but they often slip into their Voice, Fire and Ice, often because as all animals, no matter how old or wise, often forget that we are not able to understand them. A Dragon born was first believed to be an in between for both races and the mortal races were grateful while the Dragons were just confused on how they were alive.'

I sighed and turned the page asnd Arneiger chuckled at my reactions. "Not funny." I mumbled.

"There are two main types of Voices. Fire and Ice. There is a rare Voice that even Alduin himself is able to grasp. Lightning. Only a few Dragons have grasped the concept of it and even fewer Dragon borns are able to learn it. The few who were taught and mastered this Voice are the Greybeards.'

I looked back up to Arneiger.

"Lightning? Isn't that just Storm Call?" I said as I putt the book down.

"No, Lightning is more than just Storm Call. The Lightning Voice able the user to have a faster recovery than the other Voices. But, when you first learn it, it could tear you apart." Arneiger said. "We had lost quite a few Greybeards to this Shout." 

I looked down and looked at the picture with the Lightning Voice.

"It seems powerful." I said as I sat back.

"It is. That's why, you are going to learn it soon." Arneiger said. I looked back up with wide eyes.

"But, wouldn't it tear me apart?" I said.

"Continue to read." Arneiger said.

'While normal people who learn it turn to shreds due to the Lightning's wrath, Dragon borns are the only known people to survive from the Shout. They only lose their Shouting abilities.'

I looked back up.

"But, If I fail, won't the world have certain doom?" I said worried.

"That why were are teaching you our secret arts. That way if you fail, you can still take down the Dragon through those ways. Alduin has no knowledge of our power and you are the only person outside of the sanctuary that knows this." He said. I nodded.

"Alright....when do I start learning?" I said.

"We go tomorrow. Go get ready." He said. "To the Labyrinth" He said leaving me shocked.

"Yes sir." I said standing up to go to my room.
