Chapter 15- Oh No, The Love Interests Are Fighting

You were glad that Appa finally landed at a clear part of the forest so you all could resto. Yawning, you grabbed Twig and jumped off Appa, who was shedding and you landed in his fur, making Twig jump into the fur pile.
"Hey! You guys picked a great campsite, the grass is so soft," Toph smiled as she felt the ground.

"That's not grass. Appa's shedding," You pointed out as Twig rolled around in the fur.
"Ugh, gross!" Katara stuck her tongue out.
"Ah, the beauty of spring. You know, rebirth, flowers blooming and Appa gets a new coat," Aang explained with a smile.

"It's not that bad, Katara. It makes a great wig!" Sokka retorted as he had made a wig that was very tall.
"And a great beard! Aang brushed a makeshift beard as you patted your eyebrows.
"Why would you need those when you have fancy eyebrows?" You beamed as you looked like an owl with the fur on your eyebrows.

You three laughed as Katara rolled her eyes.
"Not you too (Y/N)," She sighed as Toph walked up next to you.
"Excuse me, does anyone have a razor? Because I've got some hairy pits!" She raised her arms to show the fur on her, making you all laugh as Aang sneezed and knocked himself on Appa'a leg.

You laughing made Katara smile and chuckled too, and you all eventually grabbed stuff to make camp. You helped Aang with setting up the tents, and you turn your head when you heard Katara talking to Toph, and her getting more frustrated by each second with your rock buddy.
"What's wrong (Y/N)?" Aang asked you, as you subconsciously started pulling at nothing, as you were supposed to pull ropes for the tent.

"I don't think Water girl and Laffy Taffy are getting along from the start," You mumbled as you grabbed sleeping bags to set down.
"Don't worry, I'm sure they'll get along, they just need more time. No one could be friends in an instant like us," Aang smiled and placed a hand on your arm.

"I guess, not everyone can get along with Tophy, so it'll be a challenge for her," You smiled at him, and if he had hair, you would've ruffled his hair, but you instead lifted his orange flap and covered his head.
"Hey!" You both laughed as Sokka came back with firewood. A few moments passed and you all were eating, with Toph eating near her rock tent.

You noticed Katara walking over to try and talk to Toph, but she threw a sarcastic comment and made Katara huff at her words. You got up to place a hand on Katara's shoulder.
"Don't worry about Laffy Taffy, Water girl. She can be very stubborn at times," You smiled at her, which made her smile through her tiredness.

But then she looked over to Toph and frowned again.
"More like all the time," She grumbled and walked away. You sighed and was about to walk to help, but then Toph moved the ground below you, which made you fall over and land next to her.
"Sup," She laughed and you gave a small chuckle.

"Okay, just a few minutes,"

Time passes, and you were all trying to sleep, with Twig on your stomach. That ended when you heard something moving through the ground, and Toph must've felt it too as you saw she crawl out of her rock tent.
"There's something coming toward us!" Toph shouted out to the Gaang.

"What is it?" Katara asked as you were trying to figure out what it was too.
"It feels like an avalanche, but also not an avalanche," She explained, feeling the ground.
"Your powers of perception are frightening," Sokka said sarcastically.
"Should we leave?" Katara asked, and you nodded.

"Better safe than sorry," You said as you all started to pack up and made it out as you saw smoke coming from something in the distance.
"What is that thing?" Through your squinting, you see that it was metal, so maybe a machine.
'Hmm...' You thought warily, thinking it could be from the Fire Nation.

Appa landed again and Toph jumped off to see again.
"Ah, land sweet land! See you guys in the morning!" She waved the Gaang off as she grabbed your hand to walk off.
"Actually, can you help us unload?" Katara asked as you awkwardly stood there while holding Toph's hand.

"Really? You need me to help unload Sokka's funky-smelling sleeping bag?" Toph raised an eyebrow, and Sokka sniffed his sleeping bag, having at it in result.
"Well, yeah. That and everything else. You're a part of our team now, and-" Katara was cut off as Toph let go of your hand and pointed at the waterbender.

"Look! I didn't ask you to help unload my stuff, I'm carrying my own weight," She snapped, and you were shuffling away to Sokka and Aang as the other two argued.
"Ever since you joined us, you've been nothing but selfish and unhelpful!" Katara scowled, and Toph scoffed.

"What? Look here, sugar queen, I gave up everything I had so that I could teach Aang earthbending. So don't you talk to me about being selfish!" And with that, Toph made her rock tent and laid inside.
""Sugar queen"?!" Katara said, offended as Toph then made a door to shut Katara out of her rock tent.

"Did you just slam the door in my face?! How can you be so infuriating?!" Katara shouted and knocked on the walls of the rock tent.
"I've never been around other girls but Azula and my sister, so is this what they're supposed to do?" You asked, a little scared to see Katara... well, a little not calm.

"We have no idea," The boys said simultaneously. Eventually you all calmed down a little and you were sleeping near Toph's tent, not wanting to cause anymore trouble by sleeping with the others.
"The stars sure are beautiful tonight. Too bad you can't see them, Toph!" You heard Katara said mockingly, making Toph send a rock her way and made her land on Sokka.

"Hey, how's a guy supposed to sleep with all this yelling and earthquaking?" You sighed and covered your head, wanting to sleep but you couldn't just let them argue.
"Water girl, maybe you should ju-" Before you could finish, you felt the ground rumble and Top got out of her tent.

"That thing is back!" She yelled as Sokka yawned.
"Well, how far away is it? Maybe we can close our eyes just for a few minutes." He mumbled as Twig and Aang spotted the smoke coming closer.
"I don't think so, Sokka," He said, and you all quickly packed up, Appa flying high and you saw the vehicle coming.

"Seriously, what is that thing?" Katara mumbled.
"And how does it keep finding us?" Top asked as you rubbed your face.
"I don't know. But this time, I'm going to make sure we lose it," Aang said and lead Appa into the mountains.

The bison fell over as he was also tired, causing you all to fall out of the saddle, but you didn't care.
"Okay, forget about setting up camp. I'm finding the softest pile of dirt and going to sleep," Sokka mumbled as you hugged a Twig close to your chest.
"That's good because Toph wasn't going to help anyway!" You sighed at the arguing again.
"Please... stop..." You mumbled, but they didn't hear you.

"Oh, I didn't realize the baby still needed someone to tuck her in bed," Toph snapped back.
"Come on guys, there's something after us and we don't even know what or who it is," Aang yawned and laid next to you.
"It could be Zuko. We haven't seem him since the North Pole," Katara guessed, but you shook your head.

"I don't think so Water girl," You yawned, very tired.
"Zuko wouldn't never get permission of having a weapon from the Fire Nation, not after exile," You muttered as you tried to close your eyes.
"Zuko huh? You told me about him, but I fully don't know who he really is Loud Mouth," Toph explained.

"Oh, just some angry freak with a ponytail who's tracked us all over the world," Sokka waved his hand. Katara then started to argue with her brother, which made you silently groan at the bickering again, wanting it to stop.

"Anyway, whoever's chasing us couldn't have followed us here, so, now would everyone just shhh?" Sokka yawned and covered his elf with his blanket, but then Twig and Momo started to make noise, pointing at something.

"Oh, don't tell me," You whined and got up to see the machine far away on the mountains, but was getting closer by the second.
"That's impossible. There's no way they could have tracked us," Aang argued at this very impossible coincidence.
"I can feel it with my own two feet," Toph assured him, and you definitely know it's a war machine by it coming closer.

"Let's get out of here," Katara said, and you slowly nodded tiredly.
"Maybe we should face them. Find out who they are. Who knows, maybe they're friendly," Aang suggested, and if you weren't tired, you would've smiled at his optimism.

The war machine stopped at the bottom of the mountain you were on, and the door opened to reveal four Mongoose lizards, with familiar riders.
"It's those people from Omashu!" But you didn't try to listen what she was going to say, as your body froze up seeing similar (E/C) to yours, filled with murder and bloodlust.
