Is he ok..? I wonder why he didn't respond...

Shuichi frowned slightly when he got no response, he was unsure of what he did but he wanted to make up for it, feeling some guilt "Kokichi..?" He called out again in a quieter voice as he moved closer to the bed before sitting on the edge, close to him.

I wondered what happened... why is he like this? Did something happen while I was thinking? He thought, slowly starting to get lost in his thoughts Maybe i did do something... but what was it? He glanced over at Kokichi.

Why isn't he talking to me..? Maybe I just need to be patient... He thinks and smiles to himself a bit before turning to kokichi.

He waited a few moments and pursed his lip when he still got no reply "Hey... Kokichi..?" He questioned again and moved his hand closer before resting it on Kokichi's knee, Kokichi tensed up at this but soon relaxed as he eventually let out a sigh

What does that mean..? Is he annoyed..? Maybe its a good sign... at least he responded with something...

Shuichi took this as a good sign but was still a bit worried "Are you okay..?" He questioned "Can you... tell me what happened?" He asked wanting to know why he was upset. Kokichi didn't seem to like this question as he noticed his grip on the pillow had tightened.

Maybe I said something bad... Should I ask again..? He has a mental debate with himself before deciding to ask again "Kokichi..? Can you please tell me what's wrong?" He asked, being close to begging as he didn't like seeing Kokichi like this.

Kokichi still stayed silent making Shuichi feel even more on edge. What happened to make him act like this? And why can't he just tell me? He sighed and moved his hand to his cheek to make Kokichi face him. Kokichi still didn't meet his eyes but Shuichi persisted anyway.

"Kokichi...I don't know what happened and I don't want you to be so moody because of something that happened with me...so please can you tell me what happened earlier? Why was I covered in water?" Shuichi was trying his best to stay calm because he felt like yelling at him out of fear...but he knew that wouldn't be helpful at all...

"I-" Was all Kokichi said before angrily trying to get off the bed. Shuichi wrapped his arms around him to pull him into a hug, but because of how he wasn't facing him it ended up being Kokichi sitting in his lap. Kokichi suppressed the blush that came to his face before it was even visible. He was still angry with Shuichi for not understanding what happened and how dangerous it would have been if he didn't notice...

"Shuichi," Another siren spoke out to him, making him zone out before he could say anything. Kokichi immediately yelled at him, noticing he was walking towards the water. Tsumugi was the name of the siren...and Kokichi is pretty sure that Tsumugi must have attacked him way back when Shuichi found him...but what he didn't understand was why she left him alive?

"Shuichi! Don't listen to her come back here!" Shuichi already made his way to the water and was already up to his knees at this point.

"SHUICHI!!" Kokichi screamed straining his voice, he knew for a fact this was going to make his throat hurt tomorrow...but he didn't care he had to get to Shuichi. His wound started to pound with pain as he ran down the hill to make it to where Shuichi was walking into the water.

Oh god oh my god! Kokichi thought, feeling tears coming into his eyes. What if I don't make it in time?! He thought again feeling another scream burst out of his mouth. "SHUICHI!!"

Shuichi just kept on walking as if nothing happened. Kokichi was making his way to Shuichi and was getting closer to him. Shuichi was up to his chest at this point and Tsumugi was singing the song of the sirens...the one they all used to lure fish to them so they can eat them...but it's also very effective with humans.

Kokichi was crying at this point as he got closer and closer to him. He felt his wound burn from the water even though it was healing fine and it was just a fresh scar at this point...he knew Tsumugi must be making this harder so she can take Shuichi from him.

Kokichi was walking through the water and taking in quite a lot as he was trying to swim while he was in a lot of pain. Water was getting into his nose and eyes. It even made his nose bleed from the abuse of salt water in his nose.

"Shuichi!" He rasped taking more water in. Shuichi went under the water and started to sink under the water because Tsumugi had grabbed onto his foot. Kokichi looked into the water before diving down, switching into his water form. The form Shuichi has first seen him in.

She was pulling him down quickly trying to get him to run out of air. Shuichi had his eyes closed and his mouth was open meaning Kokichi didn't have a lot of time.

He quickly moved down and held onto Shuichi's chest with both of his arms wrapped around his torso. Kokichi quickly started swimming away from Tsumugi but she wouldn't let go...he ripped one of his scales out with a silent scream and moved down and cut Tsumugi's hand. He didn't know how deep he cut because his vision was blurry with pain. But right after she let go he immediately pulled him back up to the surface.

As the light became closer Kokichi turned to his air form and flew him out of the water with his purple shaded wings. The water splashed over both of them making both of them very soaked. Kokichi gasped for air as he placed Shuichi back on the grass. His wound was pounding again and it made him cough up a little bit of blood.

With a shaking hand he checked for a pulse and found a faint one. "Shuichi! You have to stay with me!" He yelled in his raspy voice. He didn't know what to do as Shuichi's heartbeat was getting more faint. Almost non existent...

"Shuichi, no..." He whispered before he remembered how people usually help people come back. CPR! Kokichi moves his hands to his chest and puts them in position before giving him CPR.

After a moment his heart was beating more again...but no air was coming into his lungs... "I didn't want to have to do this...because it feels like an invasion of your space...especially since..." He whispered.

"I like you..." He whispered again before sucking it up and moving his head to get him ready for rescue breaths. Kokichi also knew that with mouth to mouth contact he can heal him in some way...he hasn't ever done it himself before, but he has been able to see someone else healed by this method.

He moved down with a deep breath before connecting his lips to his. He breathed into his mouth bringing air into the other boys lungs. He did this multiple times before Shuichi gasped and started coughing up water to the side.

"Shuichi you are ok!" He gave Shuichi a shaky hug still feeling a lot of pain, but he distracted himself from it with worry for Shuichi.

Shuichi just looked at him with a blank gaze. He was still under the spell...Kokichi sighed and moved closer to him pulling him into a hug. "Please come back to me," He whispered, running his fingers through his hair.

"Shuichi!" Kokichi yelled, snapping Shuichi back into reality. Shuichi opened his eyes and realized that he was covered in water. What happened? He asked himself as he looked up dumbfounded at a very worried Kokichi.

"What the hell were you doing?!" He yelled again, slowly moving closer to Shuichi. Shuichi slowly sat up coughing up some water. He closed his eyes trying to remember what had happened moments before.

"I don't know...I blanked out and-" Kokichi started yelling again.

"Don't do it again!" He yelled turning around moving back to the house.

Kokichi felt some tears falling from his eyes. Such a dumbass... He thought to himself not letting Shuichi see his face.

"I'm sorry about whatever happened...is there anything I can do to make it up to you?" He whispered gently, nuzzling his head into Kokichi's shoulder. Kokichi blushed but he leaned his head on top of Shuichi's. I need to make sure this doesn't happen again...
