I walk up the stairs, toward my future. Everyone's future. The glow brightens as I near the top of the bridge. "You are late." The woman turns around and she walks toward me. 

"I'm so sorry," I say sarcastically. "I didn't know that we are working on your time." She glares at me, her eyes a blazing. 

"Of course we are working on my time, you imbecile!" she shouts. "I'm the one who came up with this all! Now, where is Thallo and Auxo?"

"They will be here soon," I say. "No need to get impatient."

"We're here, we're here," a women's voice says from behind me. "Keep talking Carpo." 

"We need to get this plan working soon," I say. "Or it will go to Tartarus like all of us."

 "Yeah, yeah, yeah," Thallo says. "We're here now so we shall wait for the kids to come to test our... invention out."

"When will they come?" Carpo asks.

"Soon," Auxo says smirking. "Thallo and I just set the thing where it'll catch their interest."

I nod, stroking my chin. "That's good." I nod once again.

"What are we going to do while waiting for them to come?" Auxo asks getting a little impatient.

"We are going to have to wait," Thallo says with a cold glare at Auxo. "Wait until the legacies walk across this bridge."

I settle down in my bed, looking out of the window, watching the bridge. One we get the legacies across that bridge, we can suck all their power out of them and take over the world! Suddenly, I hear a strange beeping noise. I get up to investigate it and I notice a cord running under my carpet.

I walk into my living room and I see nothing new. "That's weird," I mutter. The ticking gets louder and it sounds like its coming from my garage. I walk to it and notice a red glow coming from underneath my car. I slip to the ground and pull the thing out from underneath the car. Its a bomb! The timer says ten seconds left. I jump up and and kick open the side door, running out in the middle of the street as my house blows up.

"The imbecile actually didn't die," a woman's voice says. I jump around and see Thallo, Auxo, and Carpo standing behind me. 

"You tried to kill me?" I yell.

"We couldn't have you in our plan," Carpo says.

"I came up with it!" I hiss.

"You were only the first piece of the game," Auxo says, smirking. "You were the one to wake us up because we told you to."

They grab me roughly and they drag me forward. "Where are you taking me?" I yell. 

"To our creation," Thallo says, "obviously."

I try to wrench out of their grip but it was like a grip of steel. "Why do you want to do this?" I whisper. 

"Because," Auxo says. "Its the same reason as you."

"Take over the world?" 

"Gods, Carpo was right," Thallo says. "You are an imbecile."

"So I was only the first piece of the puzzle," I say. "But what are you going to do when you take over the world?"

"Make an army strong enough to-"

"Stop Auxo!" Carpo hisses. "We don't want to tell him!"

"Oh," Auxo says. "Sorry." 

"We'll have a special place for you though," Thallo says. 

"Since you were the one who woke us up," Carpo mused. 

"You will be the lead general of our army," Auxo says. 

"And what if I decline?" I ask, already knowing the answer. 

"You will die."

"Well then," I say quietly, my mind racing. What can I do to get away from them? I twist around and I knock Auxo down. I kick Thallo and then I kick Carpo's back. I start running towards the legacies house. 

"Stop!" Carpo screams. I try to run even faster and finally make it to their houses. One of them, a blue two-story house, has lights in all the windows. I burst through the door and all the adults in there stare at me.

"Who are you?" one blonde-headed woman says. "And what are doing in my house?"

"You're in trouble," I say quickly. "All the legacies are in trouble."

"You're not a monster are you?" a brown haired woman says. 

"Yes," I say. "Well, no. Not a Greek monster if you were wondering."

I tell them all I know. 

"So, a bridge to the future?" a redhead woman says. "I don't believe it."

"Just follow me," I beg. "Please." I turn around and I sprint to the front door.

"Where are you going?" one of the men says.

"Showing you the proof." I run out the door before I could hear if they would follow or not. Seems like they wanted to follow me because I hear footsteps behind me. Soon, we make it to the bridge. "See, there it is."

"Woah," another male says. I suddenly hear voices. I see a ton of kids around the bridge, investigating.

"Let's check on it," I hear one say. The others follow that kid onto the bridge. It glows even more and shakes.

"No!" I yell and run right to the bridge. I get on it before the light disappears. Soon, everything is dark. I reach around and feel grass beneath my hands. I sit up and look around. No. . . in front of me is the tallest skyscraper I've ever seen.

"Where are we?" a girls voice says behind me. I quickly get up and turn around to notice two guys and two girls standing behind me.

"Who are you?" one girl asks me.

"I'm Octavian," I say. "Your grandparents may know me."

"Oh, they told us about you," one guys says. "I'm Parker by the way."

"Holt," the other boy says.

"Andromeda," the girl with grey eyes says. "But I go by Meda."

"And last but definitely not least, I'm Reilly," the last girl says.

"Nice to meet you all," I say. "Welcome to the future."
