I'll Stop the World and Find A Dress With You

We finally crossed the state lines into Georgia at about six in the morning. It was at that exact moment did the número una puta decide to call us. Okay, okay. I'll admit than I am not giving Mrs. Matthais a chance. Nevertheless, she is the one who dislikes my financial situtation. During this time, I am singing along to Whitney Huston's song, "I Wanna Dance With Somebody Who Loves Me". I have recently found out that this Whintey Huston song was Grantaire's guilty pleasure and we decided to listen to it as a victory song. His phone stops the music and the British Guy Siri (yes, I call all the male Siris with a British accent that.) says "Mother From Gilmore Girls is calling." I break out laughing as Grantaire answers the phone.
"Hi Mom." He answers as I try to pull myself together. Grantaire hands me the phone and puts his mother on speaker. The rolling pastures keep passing us by and the large expansions of land are only separated by the occasional farm house.
"WHERE ON GOD'S GOOD EARTH ARE YOU TWO?" She yells in anger and... worry?
"Calm down Mom. We are in Georgia."
"Georgia? Why are you two in Georgia?" Mrs. Matthais has calm down considerably and now asking out of mere curiosity.
"Because we felt like going on a roadtrip to buy a dress." I answer with an amused smile. I see a mall as we travel through Atlanta and point to it. "Grantaire, over there." I say as the big, multi-rectangular shaped building makes its appearance on the horizon. Grantaire nods and starts slowing down to make the turn into the complex.
"Why are you in Georgia to get a dress? There are perfectly good malls up here." Eilzabeth asks confused.
"Because we can. We have to go Elizabeth, and we will be home before the week is out. Bye." Grantaire tells his mother with a joking smile. He hangs up quickly as we park in a garage. We turn off my 1969 blue camaro that reminds me of Damon Salvatore. No, I did not get it when I started watching the show. I got it before hand when I was sixteen. Yes, I have had this car for a long time. But look at it! It's cool! And vintage! And reminds me of the Fast and Furious franchise! Okay, I am done explaining myself to you guys. Anyway, the parking garage looks like something from a Godfather movie.
The garage only has one working light and even then it flickered on and off more than it should have. This place makes my hair on the back of my neck stand up. The concreate is a dream-crushing grey. The only splatters of color are the occasional blue and red cars (mine included) and graffiti. Grantaire and I begin walking across the garage to the mall. Luckily, we only walk six feet. We open the heavy glass outlined with a black painted metal doors. I hold it open for Grantaire, who in turn opens the other slightly less heavy glass door for me.
I stroll through the open door after I let the one I was holding close. Grantaire follows me into the brightly lit department store. I look around and deduce that we are in Bloomingdales based off the decor of black and white tiles, furniture, etc., and the cream painted walls. Then if you look at the layout (like shoes on the left side of the ground level while makeup is on the right), then you would come to the same conclusion. "Any idea where we are?" Grantiare asks me. I give him a smirk.
"Bloomingdales. Follow me." I say pulling him up the escalator. I get off on the second floor and then looped around to get to the escalator to the third floor. Five minutes later, we are on the third floor. We are surrounded by dresses and I huff. "Okay, we have to find Ted Baker London." I say more to myself than anyone else. I start searching through the labyrinth of dresses. I sigh when I literally run into a manakin for what do you know? Ted Baker London.
Opps.
"I got you." Grantaire tells me as he pulls me up into his chest by my wrist. "Please be more careful. You are driving back." I roll my eyes and pick up the display. I start looking for dresses. I like the Ted Baker London dresses. They are simple yet quirky. They basically are the fashion line that represents me the most. I pick out three dresses and spot the dressing room. I quickly grab Grantaire's collar with my free hand. I begin the trek to the dressing rooms, mosty it is a lot of weaving in between the racks. When I reach the large circle with the opening to the dressing room's corridor, Grantaire sits on the ugly yellow semi-circle couch. "I stay here and you choose the dress. I still have no idea why I am here." I scoff.
"I need your opinion. Besides, this is the fun part." I tell him. I vanish behind the Tuscan gold wall to find a stall. I quickly head into the first open one as the song "I Melt With You" comes on. I shimmey into a tight silver dress and immediately shake my head no. Taking the silver off I put on a nice flowy white halter dress. Believing it to be a contender, I walk out into the mirror in the middle of the walk way. Grantaire strolls over to me and takes my hand. With the beat of the song he twirled me around.
"We just need to know if you can dance in it and if its able to fit you." He replies. I laugh and shake my head. I let go of his hand and spin for him.
"What do you think?"
"It's okay. Not really you though." I look back in the mirror and start making goofy faces.
"What about now?" I ask with my funny faces.
"Still nope." I sigh in an overtheaterical manner. Then I walk back into the stall and change into a black dress. The black dress has a floral patter that spiral arounds it. The flowers are a nice pink that, when I turn, look like a soft multicolored flame.
I walk out into the corridor. The song "I Wanna Get Better" by the Bleachers comes on.

I start dancing and spinning around because I love this song. Grantaire laughs. "What are you doing?" He asks. I pull him towards him and begin trying to get him to dance.
"Trying to get you to dance." I tell him.
"Okay." He spins me around and we dance around the store. People are probably staring. I just do not care. "So, the dress. Is it a winner?" He asks me. I think for a moment and nod.
"Yep." I say. The song ends and I go to change. I come back out and take the dress to the chas register. Grantaire pays, much to my chargin. and off we go. It's back to Conneticut for us.
Guess who's back?! I hope you liked the update. Not much happened, but we are winding down to the final few chapters....
