Epilogue

We never said I love you, nor had we shown any affection that we had openly admitted to each other that day in the mall when we danced together. In actuality, we didn't say "I love you" until the day Grantaire proposed to me and we had been together for a year by that time. What had happened after we had gotten back from Georgia was a party of a grand scale.
Elizabeth and Wolfgang told us that they knew we weren't dating. After we got through the messy bits of "I didn't want to disappoint you!" and etcetera, Elizabeth and I became good friends. Once the confrontation was over, Grantaire asked me out. I accepted and for an entire summer, it was a bliss that I never knew. The constant happiness and banter that flowed between us just showed.
Chip, Mrs. Potts, and Mister Potts moved to a nice quaint town in southern Virginia that summer as well. Mrs. Potss and I still kept in touch, though. She was like my therapist and I was not giving that up. Chip grew up to be a very responsible nine year old big brother to his one younger brother and two younger sisters. Grantaire and I visit them every now and again. It is now 2017 and the Potts family became a great family bakery.

Now, concerning exactly how Grantaire and I got together, I cannot say exactly when or how. If I were to choose a concrete point, you'd only have to look as far as your nose. I believed we got together during the dance at his parents' gala. It went a little something like this...
Elton John. I vividly remember the sound of Elton John playing through the backyard Bluetooth speakers. "'Can You Feel The Love Tonight' is extremely cheesy, right?" I looked behind me to see Grantaire with a smirk on his face. I scowled at him playfully.
"I happen to like Elton John's music." I said as he sat down next to me. Grantaire rolled his eyes and muttered something close to "Why am I not surprised?". I playfully punched his arm. "I heard that." I told the boy next to me. This elicits a chuckle from Grantaire.
"Of course you did." Grantaire held out his hands for me to take. "The real question is if you'd like to dance?" I smiled and took the man's hand. Grantaire helped me out of the chair and led me to the make shift dance floor. The moment we got to the floor, the song had changed to the score called "Concerning Hobbits". I mentally face palmed. How could I not see it before?
"Your mother is using my playlist, isn't she?" I stated more than asked him. Grantaire pulled me closer and nodded. My breathing hitched as he leaned down and kissed me. He only did this once before when we went to the Full Moon Festival. It was longer and softer than the urgent and quick kiss we shared about two weeks before. When we parted, I gave him a look of bewilderment. "What was that for?" I asked him in a daze.
"Because I was wondering if you would go out with me on an actual date." Grantaire replied nonchalantly. I broke out laughing; however, I could not breathe or much less talk, so I nodded. He grinned. That was when I knew. That was when I knew that I, Arabella Seaton-Guerra, was falling in love with the "Beast", Amadeus Grantaire Matthias.

I turn off my computer and stand up. Twelve in the morning, I think to myself. I shuffle into my bedroom across the hall and plop down on my side of the bed. "Finished with the story?" My husband of five years asks in a gruff voice laced with sleep. I cuddle with him.
"No, the story is still going." I answer after yawning.
"Then how did you end it, Belle?" My husband asks.
"Where we began, Grantaire." I reply before laying my head upon his chest. I close my eyes and fall asleep with the song, "On Top Of The World" by Imagine Dragons, playing in my head.
