Bakugo had told me about his and Shoto's relationship before. Their little rivalry that had gone on since high school, but at the same time it wasn't really a rivalry, just them being stupid as hell. At least that's what I got from that conversation.
Bakugo didn't like how Shoto stood up for Izuku sometimes, and Shoto could get him really riled up, but had to admit he was ridiculously strong.
Shoto had also told me that he always thought Bakugo was to head strong for his own good, but was going places.
I guess that's why they were so competitive with each other. They both thought the other was strong, so they tried that much harder.
And that's what made me so excited about this. I was having lunch with two people who had known each other for years and didn't exactly have the greatest friendship.
Not to mention the fact that Shoto wanted to marry me and Bakugo and I had kissed before.
Hopefully, those things didn't come up, but knowing Shoto they would.
"Where are we going?" I asked the two men on either side of me.
"Lets go to the park and get something from a truck." Bakugo said more than suggested.
"If (Y/N)'s alright with it, then sure. I'm game." Shoto said calmly as per usual as we rounded a corner.
"To the park then." We walked towards the park, me having to stop them from arguing and getting run over a few times.
We ended up on a park bench that sat up against a huge rock formation on the back and one side. I sat with my back against the side of the bench, legs crossed as I ate my gyoza.
God I love street food.
Shoto pointed ahead of us, towards another rock formation, nudging my leg.
"There's our rock." He said, smiling to himself.
"The hell do you mean 'our rock?'" Bakugo asked, taking a bite out of his dango, leaning forward to look at me from around Shoto.
"That's where we had our first date." Shoto filled him in, looking over at me. I looked up at him, clicking my chopsticks twice.
"Fake first date. It was so I could get to know him better." I said in an attempt to calm Bakugo down. I picked a gyoza from my tray and held it out to the both of them. "Gyoza?"
Bakugo grumbled as he took it and I held out my tray for him to use the sauce.
"Shoto?" I asked, holding my tray out to him as well.
"No thank you my love," Bakugo had a fit with that, "but would you like some of my food?" He offered.
I would normally say no, but I haven't had sweet potato's in forever.
"Only if you don't mind." I said, moving my hair out of my face.
Shoto hummed and picked up a piece of his food, guiding it into my mouth.
This man just fed me, I-
"You didn't have to feed her dumbass!" Bakugo exclaimed.
"Seconded." I said, raising my hand and chewing.
"Sorry, you just looked so cute." He said, once again, calmly.
That's not a reason to feed me in front of other people, but you do you man.
Bakugo scoffed and rolled his eyes.
"How's your first day back at work?" He asked, taking another bite of his food on a stick.
"It's been quiet so far. Denki came in and gave me balloons and flowers to welcome me back, so that made me happy." I smiled, seeing Denki's bright smile in my mind.
"I'm glad you're having a good day so far."
"I am. Did you just get back from hero work Shoto?" I queried.
"I'm on my lunch break actually, just got off patrol." Shoto informed me. His eyes glittered in the sunlight as he looked at me. The small smile on his face was cute in a way. It suited him. Somehow I thought that a grin wouldn't look right on his face, not in the way that small smile does.
"I was on my way to lunch when I remembered it was your first day back and I ought to celebrate with you somehow." Bakugo butted in, trying to pry my attention away from Shoto. He thought I didn't know what the hell he was doing, but he didn't exactly hide it well.
"How much do you guys work? It seems you always have another shift."
"Whenever we get called in really." Shoto responded.
"We have set shifts, but we can also get called in whenever we're needed." Bakugo added.
"Jesus. Do you ever sleep?" I asked jokingly asked.
"We do, but we've adjusted to having less hours of sleep." Shoto explained. "On average, I get about seven hours a day as opposed to the ten I used to get."
"Dumb ass, you're supposed to get at least eight hours of sleep a day. I still do." Bakugo interjected.
"Of course you do, you've gone to bed at 8:32 everyday since high school, probably since elementary." Shoto said, looking over at the blonde.
"8:32?" I asked. "Really?"
"I did it to keep up my grades glitch eyes! I made sure I was at the top!" Bakugo exclaimed.
"Says the number two pro hero." Shoto mumbled, eating another piece of sweet potato.
"Hey! You can't say shit to me, you're number three!" Bakugo's eyes flamed red, more so than usual. I looked between the two of them, sinking into my place as they yelled.
"At least I didn't say I would be number one someday. You said it on live television which was broadcast around the world." Shoto said calmly. Did he ever get upset?
"I said it because it's true! I'll surpass Deku and be number one!" Bakugo's face started turning red with rage and I got up from my seat, putting my food down and walking towards him.
"Bakugo, hey, calm down." I said softly, trying to comfort him. I kneeled down, putting my hand on his shoulder. "Calm down, he didn't want to get you upset."
"Yes I did."
"Shoto, not the time."
I moved Bakugo's head down he was looking down at me. He was breathing heavy and his face was still red.
Damn, I've never seen him this upset before. Shoto must have really hit a nerve.
"Hey, it's ok. I'm right here. Slow your breathing." He stared down at me with narrowed eyes and his right one twitched a bit. He tried slowing his breathing down, and eventually he got it to a semi-normal pace.
"See? That wasn't so hard, was it?" I smiled at him, flicking one of his spikes. He scoffed and looked away, fixing his hair.
"Whatever." He mumbled. I crossed the bench again, sitting back down.
"How'd you do that?" Shoto asked, staring at me with wide eyes.
"Do what?"
"Calm him down like that."
"I can hear you!" Bakugo exclaimed.
"Years of comforting victims I think." I said, shrugging and ignoring Bakugo.
"You really are amazing." Shoto muttered, a ghost of a smile on his face.
"Are you just now realizing that?!"
"What's this? The great Bakugo Katsuki calling someone other than himself amazing? The world must be ending." I teased.
"Shut up." He muttered, turning his attention back to his food.
