Chapter 33

"How many more episodes must we watch, panda." TCF! White Star asked with a yawn, bored out of his mind. "I thought we only had to watch ten or so episodes."

No one said anything but looked at Adalie with curiosity, also wanting to know the answer, especially TCF! Cale.

"Secret." Adalie said before looking at TCF! Cale with a wicked smile. "All I will say is that we aren't even finished with a fourth of it."

The looks on everyone's face was funny but Adalie enjoyed the one TCF! Cale made the most.

'Revenge is really sweet~' she thought with a blissful smile as she played the screen.

Chapter 130: Not Scared (1)

– Definitely worth a try.

Alberu seemed to be a bit excited.

"It's my first time seeing the prince so excited." TBOAH! Choi Han murmured with a thoughtful look.

'Am I really friends with the prince when I have never seen any of his reactions except the usual smile?' TBOAH! Choi Han thought with a frown. 'He never even told me he was a dark elf.'

TBOAH! Choi Han didn't know why but his heart suddenly ached while he felt lonely.

'Was I the selfish one who thought we were friends without getting his approval?' TBOAH! Choi Han thought before shaking his head and focusing on the screen, ignoring the looks he was getting. There was no need to dwell in the past - all he needs to do is to become someone better and more trustworthy.

– You're telling me something refreshing, albeit annoying, for the first time in a while.

Cale nodded his head.

"That is true. I don't only pass the headaches to you."

"No. Everything you pass to me includes headaches, whether major or minor." TCF! Alberu immediately said.

"No it isn't!" TCF! Cale denied. "I gave you a drago-."

"Which you made him pay for." TBOAH! Alberu said, not wanting to see his other self get bullied.

"I-" unfortunately, TCF! Cale was interrupted again.

"Just admit defeat, Cale." Jung Soo said with a teasing grin. "In fact, if I didn't learn beforehand, I would have assumed you were the crown prince."

"True." Rok Soo agreed. "You kept ordering him around, after all."

Alberu naturally scoffed. He had never seen anybody who had more incidents revolving around them than Cale Henituse. At Cale's level, it was pretty much fate.

Everyone, even the enemies, nod.

'I lived for hundreds of years and I never encountered much problems.' TBOAH! White Star thought. 'He only lived less than a hundred years and he had experienced so much already.'

TBOAH! White Star stopped his train of thoughts as his eyes unconsciously widened.

'Am I...pitying my enemy right now?' he thought with disgust. 'This place isn't safe, it's changing me.'

However, Alberu did not share his thoughts. Instead, he shared the information he needed to share with Cale.

"Oh my, how generous crown prince." TBOAH! Ron said as he shot the prince his usual benign smile which caused the prince to look away.

'Aren't I the crown prince?' TCF! Alberu thought bitterly. 'Why am I being treated like this?'

– The prisoner you sent over is being interrogated by my aunt right now.

No one said anything, wary of the bright smile TCF! Tasha had on her face.

"Is it going well?"

Of course, Cale knew that Tasha was probably torturing the prisoner and not actually interrogating him. However, Cale did not point that out.

'How vicious.' many thought while making a mental note not to offend any dark elves or anyone in the room, for that matter. They were all too vicious.

– I presume that he may give us some information in the near future. My aunt brought over an expert to help out.

Cale wondered who the expert the Dark Elves had brought in was. He had an idea but still nodded his head while feigning ignorance.

Nobody bothered commenting or asking who the expert was, fearful that another face would appear in their nightmare.

Alberu was talking to himself in order to process his thoughts while Cale did that.

– There's a lot to do. I will contact the Queen of the Jungle and the Whipper Kingdom's Chiefs.

TBOAH! Toonka and TBOAH! Litana looked at each other with disgust while inwardly wondering why their other selves are friendly with each other. They're such TCF! Cale did something but unsure what it was. It was most likely something amazing, considering that the two of them don't trust others easily.

If we do that, we should be able to at least divide the Empire and the Northern Alliance geographically-

Alberu stopped mid-sentence to look at Cale.

– Why are you looking at me like that?

Cale was looking at Alberu with a warm smile on his face. Cale had no problem responding to Alberu's question.

"Because I am proud to call you my prince. I have so much respect for you, your highness."

TCF! Alberu slightly smiled at this scene, reminiscing the shock and happy feelings he had while TBOAH! Alberu wondered if TCF! Cale also considered him great or not.

Cale was thinking that it was a good decision to speak with Alberu.
This smart person was also diligent, willing to do all of the annoying things for him. That was why he was proud of Alberu.

The smile on TCF! Alberu faded as he looked at TCF! Cale who only smiled his scam smile which made the prince turn away, feeling annoyed.

'I'm the one who is supposed to casually sit on my desk and plan while he does the walking part.' TCF! Alberu sulkily thought.

– ...Haaaaa.

Alberu just sighed in response before asking a question.

– What do you plan to do next?

Cale did not even blink as he responded back to Alberu.

"I will gather information."

However, he had other plans.

'Gather information? I plan to go relax until Fall. What else can I do right now?'

TCF! Alberu didn't bother to react, too familiar with TCF! Cale's behavior as others felt more and more pity towards the crown prince each episode.

"You really act like his slave, crown prince." TBOAH! Eric bluntly said which made some gasp in shock ("the audacity!" someone shouted) while TCF! Alberu wryly smiled.

"I know." he said with a sigh. "I'm actually getting used to it already."

However, Cale could see Alberu smiling oddly.

– Yes, I'm sure you'll bring me some useful information.

Alberu was thinking that Cale would end up getting involved in something, as usual, and be able to bring him information.

Many agreed. TCF! Cale was like a walking dictionary of information, always gaining more as time passes (mostly unconsciously).

Cale alone was better than Alberu's entire information network.

"He's better then everyone's information network." TCF! Odeus said. "I actually won't be surprise if he has information on other kingdoms."

"He probably doesn't, right now." TBOAH! Valentino shared his opinion. "But in the future? Definitely."

"...Yes, well."

Cale felt iffy about Alberu's smile, so he chose to just look away.

"Now you know how I feel whenever you smile at me with your scam smile." TCF! Alberu murmured which was heard by those around him.

He just told Alberu to deliver a message to Mary on his behalf before turning the communication device off.

"You really act like his servant." TBOAH! Rex said with a small laugh, finding it funny that the crown prince, the one on top of the hierarchy, is being forced to act like a servant, the opposite of his real position.

Their farewell became friendlier every time they talked.

"I mean, how wouldn't it be?" TBOAH! Cage asked rhetorically. "The both of you gain more understanding and trust with each other."

– I always have nightmares after chatting with you. You bastard.
"May you live long and healthy, your highness."
– You funny bastard.

Click.

Alberu then hung up on Cale.

"..." no one could say anything, not expecting the 'friendlier farewell' mentioned by the narrator to be so...crude.

Cale felt like he could relax a bit, but he could not do so.

Shhhhhhhhhh-

It was the sound of something flying through the air.
Cale got scared after seeing the black blob flying toward him like a bullet.

"Bullet?" TBOAH! Lily asked in confusion.

"Ah..." no one who came from Earth willingly answered the question.

"It's something no one should know." TCF! Choi Han softly said when he saw no one volunteering. "Just know it's dangerous."

The word 'dangerous' attracted the attention of the villains and fighters but were disappointed no one said anything else.

'Why is he acting like this?'

Raon stopped almost right in front of Cale's face. Raon's eyes were burning up with passion, making Cale start to worry.

Eruhaben was also secretly worried when he saw Raon's look on the screen because, from the time he spent with the little dragon and the videos shown, he knows Raon had a bad definition of passion (such as passion of doing dangerous things like bombing an island).

"Human!"

Raon suddenly shouted.

"Let's go find the power of earth!"

'Ah, right. I still had to do that.'

"How can you forget that?" TBOAH! Gilbert asked in shock. "Someone literally told you that you need to find the earth power to balance your body or you'll die!"

"Can't blame him." TCF! Bud said while sipping alcohol. "He's the same guy who didn't find switching bodies with another important. Well, more important then being beaten by the main character."

Cale started to feel tired.

"You always feel tired, nya~" On commented with Hong nodding vigorously.

He pushed the floating Raon away before letting out a sigh.

"What about your lessons?"

Raon needed to learn from Eruhaben. Raon's wings flinched for a moment at Cale's question, but Raon responded back confidently.

"...I can ask him to take me on a trip in order to get practical experience."

"How bold of you." Dodori said. "You're asking him to do favors when you literally just met."

"Of course I can, right Goldie Gramps?" Raon asked with a flutter of his wings while Eruhaben just sighed and nod, not wanting to debate or argue on it. The little one could be quite persistent.

'Woah woah woah, he wants Eruhaben to come with us to find the Super Rock? Is he planning to destroy a continent or something?'

"A continent's too small." Rasheel said with a yawn. "Bringing two dragons, even when one is a child, can destroy most, if not all, the continents."

Well, there goes another reason as to why they shouldn't make TCF! Cale an enemy (Too bad the villains aren't taking any notes).

Cale waved his hand and responded back.

"You just stay here and focus on your lessons. I can just go with Choi Han."

TCF! Choi Han smiled at the mention of his name.

He was not crazy enough to take two Dragons with him to find the Super Rock.

"Surprising." TBOAH! Jopis commented while slightly smirking.

Cale sighed at this unbelievable suggestion. He then felt like something was wrong.

"Good instinct." TBOAH! Witira praised.

"More like parental instinct, noona." Paseton interjected.

Raon was quiet.

Cale turned his head to look at Raon.

"...Human."

Raon lowered his voice and puffed up his chest.

"Aww." some cooed.

"Listen to the words of the great and mighty Raon. The weak human needs me."

The five-year-old was trying to look majestic. However, it did not change the fact that he was a five-year-old that Cale had seen since he was four.

"Human!" Raon whined. "I am majestic!"

"Yes yes." TCF! Cale nod while patting Raon's head. "You are very majestic."

'Is Eruhaben not teaching him about the majestic air of Dragons?'

Eruhaben didn't say anything but his countenance showed that he hadn't.

Cale just agreed since it would be too annoying to argue.

"Sorry, Raon, but I was tired from the call with the prince." TCF! Cale apologized.

"It's okay, Human!" Raon said with a smile. "Talking and planning is hard!"

"...Whatever."

Raon started to smile.

"Good! Human! You made the right decision! I will go tell Eruhaben!"

"I meant goldie gramps!" Raon fixed his wording when he noticed some adults looking at him with raised brows.

Raon left the room that was shining from gold and jewels and flew toward Eruhaben.

"The room really benefits Cale-nim." TCF! Clopeh said with a smile.

"Truly." TBAOH! Clopeh agreed. "Only someone like Cale-nim can live in that place."

Needless to say, the beast people and royalties in the room looked annoyed.

Cale looked at Raon flying away and started to think.

'Shouldn't it be asking Eruhaben and not telling him?'

He felt iffy again at Raon's choice of words, but took out the book he received from the Elves as there was nothing he could do about Raon.

"...I'll try harder." TCF! Cale begrudgingly said when he saw his mother, brothers, and Eruhaben looking at him with a scolding look.

"You should." Jour said. "That's not how you discipline your child."

It was an old book, but it seemed to be imbued with magic, as the pages were still in good condition.

Flip. Flip.

Cale opened the book to the first page which only had a single sentence.

< Someone said that a stupid human is like a rock. I will show that person the power of a small rock. >

"What?" TBOAH! Rei Stecker asked in confusion but no one answered, mainly because they don't know and those who did were lazy to explain.

Click.

Cale closed the book. This book was weird as well.

Some nod.

However, Cale opened the book again in order to be able to live his life without a ticking bomb inside his body.

"Here he goes again with saying scary words like ordering his favorite food." TBOAH! Hannah sighed.

He thought to himself that he has to do all sorts of things in order to live a safe life and started to frown.

"Yep, apparently it includes fighting a dangerous villain, saving the world, becoming a hero and many more." TBOAH! Cale said while checking his notepad, a fake glasses on his face in order to seem like a teacher.

He turned the page.

< The earth that is under my foot is sturdier than anything else. >
< The earth sacrifices its body in order to provide a place for all lifeforms to live. >
< The strongest form of the earth is a rock. >

This part sounded normal.

"Want to bet that the next parts will seem weird?" TCF! Cage asked Taylor who rejected, already knowing that TCF! Cage would win.

Flip. Flip.

Cale slowly turned the pages while reading through. His frown slowly started to disappear. There were sentences that caught his attention every so often.

< He was called the Guardian. The first time he was called the Guardian was probably when he stopped an ogre that was headed down to his village. >
< He was the hidden guardian of the Kingdom of Boulders. He always appeared wherever there was trouble and confidently defended against anything and everything. >
< People respected the noble spirit of the Guardian. >

The Super Rock looked more awkward the more the show talked about him.

Cale recalled the ancient legend that Taylor had shared with him in the past.

It was about the Guardian that saved the Kingdom of Boulders.
It was a legend about a hero who saved the continent's Northeast territory when the continent was covered in darkness.

'Is it related to that legend?'

The ancient powers nod.

Cale recalled that legend as he continued to read on. He slowly started to smile.

< The Guardian had another hero that was both a friend and enemy. This hero was the one who freed the North from the freezing cold. That hero was a cheapskate whose hobby was picking up coins. >

The Fire of Destruction.

"Kekeke, it's me!" the fire said in delight.

The money that the owner of the Fire of Destruction had collected was taken by the hero in this book.

"Speaking of which..." the fire turned to look at Super Rock who ignored him.

< The Guardian said the following after seeing the money saved by that hero. >
< "Crazy bastard, you saved and saved without spending and accumulated so much!" >

Cale was happy after reading the words, 'accumulated so much.'

"Of course you do." TBOAH! Amiru said with a fond smile.

However, his expression turned odd as he continued to read.

< The Guardian was talented at both offense and defense. Even a small rock would have devastating power when he threw it. >

The ancient power described in this book seemed to be the Scary Giant Cobblestone.
However, that was not the problem.

< Right before going to save the world from darkness, he left all of his belongings, as well as the belongings of his friends, in his hometown. >

"Of course young master-nim would be interested with the wealth." TCF! Hans said with a smile.

Cale started to flip the pages faster.

Flip.

Cale flipped the book over after reading until the last page.

"Haaaa."

Cale let out a sigh and started to think about what he had just read.

< The location of the strongest boulders in the Kingdom of Boulders. >

The strongest boulder was referring to granite.

< His hometown was a dangerous place where all sorts of monsters roamed wild, a place that allowed people to move between the continents. >
< That is where he left everything. >

"Huh? Doesn't that sound like..." TCF! Basen didn't need to continue his words because his family and some others realized it too.

"God damn it."

Cale started to frown again.

"Sounds like my backyard."

It definitely seemed to be describing the Henituse territory, specifically, the Forest of Darkness.

"What's with your territory that makes it full of ancient powers?" TBOAH! Obante rhetorically asked.

"I wonder if it's fate." TCF! Gashan murmured.

Cale had a good idea about what he needed to do in order to earn the, 'Scary Giant Cobblestone.'

< The Guardian who was filled with justice and truth is said to have left a mark on his house so that his friends' heirs could take what he had left behind. >

The Fire of Destruction would show Cale the way.
Although he knew the approximate location as well as how to get it, Cale was feeling oddly uncomfortable.

Some was worried about why TCF! Cale felt uncomfortable. After all, from what they've seen, TCF! Cale had an amazing instinct/gut feeling.

It was at that moment.

"Human, human!"

Raon flew back in through the open door.

"Wha- hmm?"

Cale's expression turned odd as he lifted his head up.

"Human! Don't you eat fruits when you read? I brought you some! Fresh fruit!"

"Aww." the shield cooed. "The young dragon knows Cale's habits!"

"It's like seeing a child trying to please his father." TBOAH! Pen commented.

Raon was flying toward him while carrying a tray of fruits on top of his short front paws.

Sheritt smiled at the adorable scene, vaguely feeling lonely that she wouldn't experience something similar with her son while Mila held her child's hand, remembering Dodori's childhood.

He then put it on the table in front of Cale. Raon started to speak as Cale quietly stared at him.

"Human, I heard that you were drenched by the rain as you went to the cave. You suffered quite a bit. You need to eat delicious food so that you can grow up strong."

"I can't believe the dragon child knows how to take care of himself better than young master." TCF! Beaceox said with a disappointed sigh.

At that moment, Cale could hear another voice behind Raon.

"Wow, I've never seen a Dragon serve a human in my thousand years of existence. I've seen it all at this point."

Everyone nod, knowing that no dragon in history was this close with a human.

The Gold Dragon Eruhaben, who was walking in behind Raon, clicked his tongue and shook his head. Raon seemed to have finally thought about Eruhaben, as he pointed toward Eruhaben.

"I brought Goldie gramps as well! I brought him so that we can talk about the practical experience!"

Eruhaben looked toward Raon with disbelief.

"Pfft." Rasheel laughed out loud, not bothered by the glare the golden dragon sent him. At least the others had some decency of trying to stop their laughter.

'When did Eruhaben become Goldie gramps?'

Cale was curious about that but just pointed to a chair for Eruhaben.

"Eruhaben-nim, please sit."

"Haa."

The Gold Dragon let out a sigh that did not fit his appearance and plopped down on the couch across from Cale.

"Why did I let in such a troublesome little kid at my old age?"

"Because you had no choice?" Pendrick said with a small teasing grin. "Since the little dragon and young master Cale's group literally barged their way to you?"

He was only rewarded with a sigh.

"Goldie, I am not troublesome!"

"We are troublesome." Hong said before continuing when Raon and On looked at him in shock. "For the enemies, at least!"

Plop. Plop.

Cale was eating grapes one at a time while observing the two Dragons chatting. Eruhaben scoffed at Raon's retort.

"Not troublesome? You're already thinking about ditching your lessons."
"No! I am trying to go help the weak human become strong! And I am not trying to ditch, I just want to go get real experience with you Goldie!"

"Solid reasoning." TBOAH! Glenn nod.

Bang. Bang.

Raon banged on the golden table.

"Goldie! I want to go with you!"

"That's one way of getting your way." TBOAH! Harol said.

Cale did not miss the short twitch in the corner of Eruhaben's lips.

No one said anything, especially because Eruhaben looked at anyone who opened their mouth with a deadly glare.

The Ancient Dragon, who had lived alone for close to 1,000 years, responded back to the five-year-old Dragon with indifference.

"I don't feel like going with you."
"No! I want to go with you Goldie!"

Raon vigorously shook his head and made his stance clear. The corner of Eruhaben's lips twitched once again.
Cale did not miss any of this.

"Fucking observation skill." Eruhaben cursed while inwardly feeling embarrassed to be caught.

The Gold Dragon spoke with indifference once more.

"Little kid, it is my decision whether or not I go with you."

He then coldly spoke to Cale.

"Cale Henituse, it is not easy to find the power of earth. It will be very different to go around looking for it without any information."

Cale started to think that this Ancient Dragon was a total softy.

"I am no-" TCF! Violan interrupted the dragon.

"He is." she told Raon with a soft smile. "He just doesn't want to show it because of his pride."

Some couldn't help but be awed by Violan because of how brave she was to speak and interrupt a dragon.

The Gold Dragon did not know Cale's thoughts as he continued to speak.

"We will first need to look for any books that might discuss the power."

Plop.

Eruhaben looked toward the table after hearing the noise.
He could see an ancient book that looked like it would hold information about ancient legends.

Eruhaben stopped for a moment before starting to speak again.

"Once we find the book, we will need to find the location of the ancient power, as well as the method of gaining it."
"I already found it."
"...All of it?"
"Yes sir."

The Gold Dragon observed the human sitting confidently in front of him. This human already had six ancient powers on him. Eruhaben had no choice but to accept it.

"Pfft, oh if only I can save that look." Mila said with a laugh.

'I'll give her a copy later.' Adalie thought with a nod.

"You must be crazy lucky."

"You must mean crazy unfortunate." TCF! Cale deadpan.

"No, you're unluckily lucky." TCF! Jack said with his usual smile. "You are unlucky because you experience and stumble on many bad things but lucky because of the profit you earned once you defeat the challenge."

"Still considered unlucky." TCF! Cale said. "I rather have no information but live peacefully."

"You aren't that lucky." TBOAH! Archie bluntly said.

Cale started to smile. Eruhaben snorted in response. At that moment, there was a short paw tapping on Eruhaben's arm.

"Goldie, let's go!"

An excited Raon was the owner of the paw. Eruhaben looked back and forth between Raon and Cale. Raon had explained everything to him, including the four years of hell and how he had met Cale.

Many looked angry at the reminder.

Eruhaben responded coldly to the human and Black Dragon.

"I will do whatever I want to do. That is what a Dragon does."

"You aren't doing a good job in portraying it, though." TBOAH! Adin mocked. "Especially when you are following that bastard."

"Oh, just shut your mouth." TCF! Rosalyn said with a glare. "You're making the room more stinky."

***

A few days later, Cale arrived back at Harris Village in order to head into the Forest of Darkness and earn the Super Rock.
A knight standing guard greeted Cale.

"Young master-nim, welcome back."
"Thanks."
"The people who are always with you aren't here today. Looks like only a few people are with you this time."

The knight asked after seeing the people Cale brought with him. Cale casually nodded his head and responded back.

"Well, we're just resting here for a few days. Right, Hilsman?"

Hilsman, one of the people who came with Cale, was standing there with a blank expression before getting shocked at Cale calling out his name.

"Yes, yes! T, that is correct!"

The knight looked toward Hilsman with concern after seeing Hilsman respond with a pale expression.

"Um...what happened to him?" Maes asked in concern.

"Nothing major." TCF! Cale assured.

Cale's stern but warm voice reached the knight's ear.

"The Vice Captain seems to have gotten motion sickness. I thought he was only prone to seasickness, but it looks like he has carriage sickness as well."
"Ah, I see. Vice Captain-nim, are you doing okay?"

Hilsman nodded his head.

"I'm fine! A-Okay!"

Hilsman continued to speak once Cale patted him on the shoulder.

"You do know you look like you're threatening him." TBOAH! Adite said.

"And I will be guarding the young master-nim with this, this this-."

Hilsman could not continue to speak. His gaze headed over to the only other person who came with them. It was a handsome man with blonde hair.

"No...way..." some of the dragons said in shock.

Hilsman pointed to the blonde man with both hands after seeing that handsome man looking at him.

"This senior and I will be guarding the young master-nim. We will be moving around freely, so there is no need to follow us."
"Yes sir!"

The knight responded energetically before peeking at the person next to Cale. Everybody that Cale had brought over had a scary disposition, but this person seemed even more difficult to approach.

"Maybe because he isn't a human?" TBOAH! Tasha sarcastically said.

"Then keep up the good work."
"Yes young master-nim."

The knight and soldiers saluted Cale before watching the three people walk into the village. They were Cale, Vice Captain Hilsman, and the new person.

Cale clicked his tongue and started to speak to Hilsman.

"Why are you so nervous? Right, Eruhaben-nim?"
"Indeed."

Eruhaben looked toward Hilsman and continued to speak.

"Human, live life in peace."

Hilsman vigorously nodded his head.

"Um, Eruhaben-nim, your way of talking seems like threatening." TCF! Mary softly said while Eruhaben silently sulk.

'Why is all my actions getting corrected?' Eruhaben bitterly thought. 'I'm a dragon, for goodness sake. I shouldn't even try to calm a human.'

Cale naturally explained to Hilsman about Eruhaben. The majority of Cale's group was currently in Eruhaben's lair, with only three of Cale's group following him into the Forest of Darkness.

One was Hilsman, who would take care of all of the chores and necessities, while the other two were the Dragons.

"You sure you aren't planning on creating your own country?" Rok Soo asked TCF! Cale who easily denied it. "Just making sure since your actions say otherwise."

"The human world has not changed."

The Ancient Dragon's words made Hilsman grab onto Cale's clothes like he had done when he had gotten seasick. Cale naturally pushed Hilsman's hand away as Raon started to speak in his mind.

"I like how the narrator said 'naturally'." TCF! Lock said. "It shows that TCF! Cale usually do it."

– Super Rock! I am not scared of this supposedly Scary Giant Cobblestone! We have two Dragons!

Indeed. Cale was not afraid at all.
There was no way he could be scared.

"But I won't harm you." Super Rock said with a dejected voice.

"I know now." TCF! Cale said. "But the stories I learned about you stated otherwise."

"Now, now." the water said. "You can't blame the fucker who didn't know who the fuck you were."
