Melissa, can you help me with the band instruments please?” Roxy asked Melissa as she was in the other room playing around with the band keyboard. Melissa poked her head around looking at Roxy as she stopped fiddling with the keyboard and went in picking up her snare drum.”yeah yeah i’m helping” melissa replied as they were moving equipment since they needed to put them in their new practice room since it was soundproof and bigger.

Melissa was wearing an old band jumper and shorts while Roxy wore a flesh curtain top,courtesy of her rick, and leggings with both their hair up in messy buns. Melissa was fast at putting her drum kit in their rightful boxes/cases but as she did she found old images and even their old band banner. “Hey roxy look what i found “ Roxy stopped what she  was doing and looked at their old merch and banner when they first started their banner. It was in their teens and in their rock phase as they enjoyed skillet and Metallica plus some rock covers from different songs."dude I remember we were in high school and just started forming the band." 

Flashback

Melissa just finished history class and ran to the music room wanting to finish her new song. Melissa was 15 and wearing a big black hoodie and leggings with her hair normal coloured but for once was out. She weaved and ran avoiding people finally getting to the music room and sighed happily. She plopped her bag on the ground and walked to the yellow electric guitar tuning it first then putting it over her shoulders comfortably. She then proceeded to strum the strings with her pick and hum 'toxic'. She moved around the room in her own world happily singing and strumming the guitar in piece not realising Roxy was sneaking in the room.

Roxy finished science class and walked out listening to her music sneakily going between people roaming the halls. She wore a black belly top and a red skirt with some knee highs but her hair was up as normal. She went to go get a tuna+sweetcorn baguette from the cafeteria and then proceeded to find Melissa. Roxy knew Melissa's different hidden spots and so she started with the backroom then went to the music room. She heard rhythmic guitar strumming and Melissa's singing in the music room wanting to not disturb her she snuck in the room without Melissa knowing.

Melissa turned round finishing off the final verse but stopped seeing Roxy there smiling while leaning against the table. "Nice song girl, you should really perform for the talent show this year." Melissa blushed and looked away. "I would love to just be scared to do it on my own." Roxy nods and thinks and suddenly gets an idea and smirks."What if we do it together?like a duo or better yet make a band for ourselves." Melissa looks at Roxy as she thinks of her idea and smiles. 

"You know what yeah that sounds great but what instruments are we playing?" She asked Roxy as she put the guitar down carefully back on the stand."well I know you can play drums and guitar but we can also add in a bass and piano later on." Roxy pointed out as she played with the keyboard as Melissa smiles nodding."alright I can play drums and you can sing while playing guitar." 

They both agreed on the arrangement and went for the talent show winning with their song 'good 4 u'. After this,they decided to pursue their band and toured locally and then went big fast and even won galaxy contests. Roxy met her husband at one as they were competing against each other and the girls one but fell in love with rock rick. They were doing great together and got help from their squanchy and bird lady as Melissa's grandma had her past band 'the flesh curtains' with everything going well they grew.

Flashback end 

The girls giggled as they talked about their band gigs and moments sitting on their stools drinking some soda. "Oh and that guy you snogged once was actually a police officer." Melissa giggles as they relax and stare at each other happily until they hear a thump outside the door. Roxy sighs and looks at the door "Rex I know you there...and you to Avery." Melissa jumped in as the two walked in looking at their mums embarrassed that they were caught. 

"We heard you talking and were curious...so we listened in and heard you talking about how you started the music." Rex started as Avery finished his statement making their mums smile a bit and watch their kids. "You could have just come in and asked you two. Besides you two are now starting  to find interest in the band." Melissa replied as she stood up hugging the two and kissed her daughter's cheek. Meanwhile Roxy hugged her son but ruffled his hair making him groan and roll his eyes. 

"Now how about you two help us finish moving our instruments?" Melissa encouraged the two teens as they both nodded and started. Throughout the time they moved their instruments but also told their kids how they were in shinanogons and their embarrassing moments during their tours. Avery and Rex listened to their mums and smiled at their stories enjoying their time together. They bonded happily and made jokes as they finished and decided to go out and got Wendy's.
