Mike was happy he could have his girl home safe and sound in his arms. Dustin, Lucas, and Will were content with their friends being safe in one place, and able to live life like normal kids again. Max was glad she had found some friends, despite their terrifying experiences. Steve became their mentor and looked after them as if they were his own. Nancy was glad her brother was safe, and happy that her and Jonathan could move into the path of a relationship without having to worry about anything bad happening anymore. Joyce was in mourning of Bob but nonetheless glad Will was finally home, safe and sound. Free from the mind flayer and the jaws of the demogorgons. Hopper was glad El was safe and he could take care of her as if she were truly his daughter, since he so dearly missed his own. Life went smoothly in Hawkins after the gate was closed; the lab was shut down and obliterated. And that was for the better. But how long could they hold off until some how, some way, another gate would be torn open? Not this time by someone with powers like El, but something so powerful from the other side we can't even imagine? Only time would tell how safe they really were, and time is short.
