Chapter 7~the symbol
when we got back to the pole i raced to my room so that no one could see that i was hit. "hopefully jack don't tell everyone I'm fine" i said as i looked at myself in the mirror. a strange black pattern was on my arm. it was small so i figured eh just a bruise or something like that.
"hey Summer" i heard jack say from outside my locked door. "North wants to see you."
"ill be right down" i said looking around for something to hide the bruise with the cut on it. i heard jack walk away as i found my old sweatshirt covered in paint and picked up my knife. "you fine" i sighed. nothing is wrong."
"or is it" a voice laughed.
i looked around and saw no one. "who's there"
"no one" the voice replied." i kept looking around. "only you and your shadow"
"shadow..." i whispered like it had given me an idea. "Pitch!"
"not quite but close" the voice laughed. i began to heat up in anger. "where are you!" i yelled" i looked at the pattern and it seemed to grow into large swirls and it looked like flames.
"right here" the voice laughed even more. i looked and saw myself holding onto my head in pain and anger. my hair was like fire my eyes a bright burning color of embers. "that's right. get angry show your true self." i saw him outside and flew after him in anger.
"I THOUGHT I SAD TO LEAVE ME ALONE!" i shouted as he laughed. he flicked a finger down and i fell. "DON'T GO NEAR ANYONE HERE OR YOU'LL REGRET IT!" i yelled drawing my knife.
"oh but i don't want anyone Summer just you. if your as powerful as your mother was then you will be a great add to the army.
"what army" i asked holding my knife out. "you cant defeat the guardians.
"no but you and other unbelived in spirits can. if we unite then they cannot stop us.
"I'm believed in." i growled narrowing my eyes.
"oh but what about all those children who never see you. and that Jami kid. he se's Jack but why not you."
"because i choose to stay hidden" i said defensively. I swung the knife at him and he grabbed my arms.
"your better then them Summer. Remember its there fault she died." i thought back to the woman in the park with a black arrow though her body. "do you want that to be you. will you die for them when they didn't for her."
"but there good." i said trying to not believe Pitch. searing pain grew as i saw the symbol get larger. i felt myself giving into Pitch's plans and then soon blacked out.
