Dang! Ashanti had thought to herself when she had walked right into the VIP room. This place is a lot better than I initially thought it would be.
She had been following Rihanna into the VIP section for about twenty seconds now, and apparently they had to go down some stairs to actually get into the section itself.
This had seriously gotten Ashanti thinking though. How could she have eavesdropped from Rihanna's conversation from all the way downstairs?
Either Rihanna was really loud, there weren't really that many stairs to begin with anyway, the room really wasn't that soundproof or, well.
They were all just some really terrible whisperers.
Surprisingly, Ashanti hadn't really talked to Rihanna on the way to the VIP section (well, downstairs of the section anyway), but that was mainly because she was on the phone the whole time, talking and potentially flirting to Drake.
I wonder what Kehlani and Kishati are doing right now, Ashanti couldn't really help but to think this to herself as she had gone downstairs.
Was I too hard on them? Thoughts like this had continued non stop, because Ashanti couldn't really have controlled her thoughts. I sort of feel like I way was too hard on them.
She was, but that was something she could have thought of later, as right now, the girl had just entered downstairs with Rihanna, absolutely mesmerised on what downstairs of the VIP section, aka the basement had looked like.
Ashanti felt like she had just died and entered heaven, and she was even more shocked to see how many people were there.
Jeez, how many people does Rihanna know in this neighbourhood?
Oh wait. She's Rihanna. She knows everyone.
"Y'all, we got a trespasser!" Rihanna told her crew sitting down on the sofa right in front of her. They were all sitting down talking about something, all of them looking seemingly drunk except this guy that Ashanti had assumed was Asian because he had looked like it.
In Alsharafzi's defence, he was too young to drink anyway, and even if he was the right age to drink, he wouldn't have done it because he was a really good kid, like Kehlani.
Ashanti really didn't know that looks were deceiving. If she had, then she wouldn't have let Rihanna take her into her basement, and introduce her to her so called gang.
"Tresspasser?" Shaylana repeated. "Girl, ain't no trespasser allowed up in here!"
Ashanti had felt really embarrassed when she had heard that, wanting to turn away from everyone but everyone had pretty much known that she was here now, so there was no point leaving.
Almost everyone was staring at her right now, but Ashanti wasn't OK with that because she had hated being the centre of attention.
And literally as well, her and Rihanna were in the middle of the circle with everybody else surrounding them.
Kehlani and Kishati were right, this wasn't a very good idea.
And things had only gotten worse from there really. But more on that later.
"Yeah, I know that, but imma let this girl slide for now," Rihanna corrected her. "Anyway, Ashanti. This is Alsharafzi, Giovanni, Zonarosa, Rosabella, Seyitan & Shaylana."
Rihanna had then showed Ashanti who was who by literally pointing to the correct person when she had mentioned their names.
Now, Ashanti's memory was good and everything.
But not good enough to remember all of their godforsaken names, Jesus Christ.
Dang, Alsharafzi's fine as hell. Ashanti had thought to herself when she had stared at him. And he really was too, he had looked like Cameron Boyce but the Korean American version.
Even better, he looks like he's my age.
Not that Ashanti had known Alsharafzi's nationality of course, although it was mentioned earlier.
When Alsharafzi had realised that Ashanti was staring at him so much, he had internally freaked out and had looked away immediately whilst blushing profusely at the same time.
Guess he doesn't like making eye contact. Maybe he's shy. Like me.
No, Ashanti wasn't in love with Alsharafzi or anything, because love at first sight didn't even exist in her opinion.
She had just thought that he was cute to be honest, because, well. He was.
If it had made sense to find someone cute but not like them in any romantic way at all, yeah.
If not then...
Screw everything.
"Hold up. Ashanti Reynolds? I think that I remember you from somewhere."
This was coming from Giovanni as he was helplessly glancing at Ashanti's face, whilst she was kind of checking Alsharafzi out.
Giovanni was 20 and he was Italian, along with his sister Zonarosa. Come to think of it, he had looked kind of familiar as well now, but Ashanti just didn't really know where she had seen him from.
Apparently, they had met each other in last year's summer camp, when both him and Ashanti were failing in school pretty badly.
Giovanni was smart and everything, but when it had come to tests, he wasn't always that good at them.
Same with Ashanti to be honest, but then again, she had never really studied unless her parents, someone older than her or Kehlani had forced her to do so.
Summer camp had lasted for two weeks, and it was basically like summer school but in a camp version. But even though Giovanni was nice to Ashanti, everyone else had seemed rude to her, with Alsharafzi having no opinion on her yet.
"Real talk, though. Ashanti, why you here?" Seyitan wanted to know.
"Yeah, girl, why you here?"
Ashanti didn't mind Seyitan asking her that question... but Rosabella asking her that question too?
That had just made her become more embarrassed to ask Rihanna for her autograph, especially right in front of everybody here.
When Ashanti had eventually asked Rihanna for her autograph (which had taken a few stuttering but she had gotten there eventually), Rihanna had just glanced down at her as though she was crazy, but she hadn't really said anything else.
"You want my autograph?"
Ashanti had nodded like her life had depended on it.
"Work for it."
Work for it?
The hell did Rihanna mean by that?
If someone wanted her autograph, apparently, then they needed to prove that they were worthy of having it, as Rihanna hadn't just distributed her autograph out to people like that.
When Ashanti wanted to know what the hell she had to do to get Rihanna's autograph, she had to deeply think about it.
Heck, she even had to ask her entire crew at some point what they should have done to her, with Rosabella eventually saying that she needed to ride the mechanical bull that was located right next to her for ten minutes.
"M...mechanical bull?"
"Yeah, boo." Rihanna answered, sitting down on the sofa right in front of her, crossing her legs and drinking some wine. "You gotta problem with that?"
Yes.
Ashanti did have a problem with that, actually.
She had never ridden a mechanical bull before.
Because she had never been to a flipping party before, yeah. That was exactly why.
But she didn't say this for very obvious reasons, and also because she was already embarrassed enough for getting herself into this godforsaken situation, so she had just smiled and nodded vigorously at Rihanna instead.
Watching her do that, Rihanna had then followed her to where the mechanical bull was, watching her get up.
As Ashanti had never really been on a bull before, especially a mechanical one, she had a bit of struggle getting up there, only for Rihanna to get annoyed asking her if she had ever been on a mechanical bull before.
Ashanti had lied and had pretty much said that she had been on a mechanical bull before, because she didn't really want Rihanna to perceive her as some pathetic low life or something, and after that.
Rihanna had told her what she wanted her to do to get her autograph.
"Unless you want to forfeit?"
"No forfeiting," Ashanti disagreed, shaking her lied. "This is a once in a lifetime opportunity. Let's do this thing, baby."
Hearing that, Rihanna had smirked to herself, before telling her the instructions on how to get her autograph.
But what Ashanti didn't realise was that.
Trouble was literally just getting started.
