yaku woke up later in the day than he normally did, as he rolled over in bed he remembered that he and lev had to set a date for when he would help lev study.

then he realized. he didn't know what the exam was on.

yaku sat up to grab his phone from the bedside table and opened up levs contact.

yaku sighed and climbing out of bed to get a late breakfast.

"hey mom are you down here....?" yaku said in a tired voice.

"morisuke?! breakfast is on the table if you're hungry!" she called from the other room.

"thanks mom..." yaku said so quiet his mother probably didn't even hear him.

after he ate yaku walked into the living room to find his mom watching the tv.

"hey mom is it alright if i go to a friends house later today?" he asked.

"oh well of course sweetie, as long as you're home for dinner that is." his mother said looking in his direction.

"yeah okay, i'll probably leave around 1:40 or so is that okay?"

"yes honey. that's fine with me."

"thanks mom." yaku said turning to walk back up the stairs.

yaku was now walking along the path that led to levs front door. it was a beautiful house, a graying blue color with white accents, flowerbeds of brightly colored flowers were on each side of the steps.

yaku reached up to knock on the door until the door was jerked open by a tall, slender woman with long short silver hair and bright green eyes.

"you must be yaku!" she exclaimed.

"um, yeah that's me." yaku said looking up at the woman.

"come on in, levs in the sitting room so go ahead and make yourself at home!"she said closing the door behind the two.

"oh thank you ma'am!" yaku said calling after her before she walked into the other room

"no no that won't do! just call me hana!"

"oh okay...hana" yaku said hesitantly.

"better!" hana said, turning on her heels to leave the room.

after hana left yaku walked into the main sitting room to look for lev.

"lev? are you in here?" he said waking into the room.

"yaku-san! you're here!" lev exclaimed standing up from his seat on the couch running over to meet yaku.

"yeah, um...your house is really pretty"

"oh! thanks, not that i have anything to do with it!" lev said smiling, then grabbing yaku's wrist to pull him over to the couch.

"emerald should be around here somewhere..." lev said like he was thinking while still holding onto yaku's wrist.

"maybe she's outside...that is where you took the picture you send me earlier." yaku suggested.

"oh, you're right! i don't think she came back in when i did!" lev said dragging yaku along with him into the back yard.

"oh and lev, you really need to learn how to spell dumbass! i could barely tell what you were saying when we were texting!" yaku said rolling his eyes.

"yaku-saaan! i was just excited!" lev whined.

"yeah whatever we're out here to find emerald not fight about your horrible spelling." yaku said looking away and releasing his wrist from lev's hand.

"right! she usually hangs out around my moms plants that are back here i'll go look over there!" lev said walking towards the plants.

"yeah, okay." yaku mumbled watching lev walk away. 'he's just like a child' he thought. 'it's kinda cute though...wait! what the hell am i thinking?! lev is NOT cute!'-

"yaku-san i found her!" lev yelled across the yard.

"okay, i'm coming!" yaku yelled back walking over to lev.

when yaku made it over to lev he crouched down next to him to be met with a beautiful pair of emerald green eyes.

"her eyes really are like emeralds..." yaku said reaching down to pet the cat.

"emerald, say hello to yaku-san!" lev said then turned to yaku to shine his signature smile at him.

yaku felt his face start to warm up. since when did lev start making him feel this way?

"oh i also have a dog if you would want to meet him as well?!" lev said, his eyes sparkling.

"i'm more of a cat person but i guess i'd be down to meet your dog lev..."

"really?!" lev said standing up.

"i mean yeah that's fine with me i guess." yaku said standing as well.

"okay then he's probably upstairs in my room...or he could be in my moms room i don't really know." lev said as he opened the door to go back inside.

"alright then."

"okay yaku-san, follow me!" lev told yaku walking up the stairs.

"hey, wait up! you're taking the stairs two at a time how am i supposed to keep up with that?!" yaku stated annoyed.

"sorry yaku-san, sometimes i forget you're short!" lev said glancing back with a shy smile.

that day yaku didn't hit lev once. he just enjoyed the sound of his cheery voice, the brightness of his smile, and the shining of his emerald geeen eyes.

"hey lev..." yaku said looking over at lev from the spot where he was laying on levs bed.

"yes yaku-san?" lev asked meeting yaku's gaze from the desk chair he was sitting in.

"uhhh..." yaku said thinking if he should just blurt out his feeling here and now, or wait. "i, uh told my mom i'd be home before dinner..."

"oh..." lev said glancing at the clock on his desk. "then you should probably get going huh?" lev said sounding a little disappointed.

"yeah i probably should...but i'll be here tomorrow kay?" yaku said looking back over at lev.

"oh, right...well i'll walk you to the door!" said lev, his voice gaining back the cheeriness it had before.

lev and yaku made their way down the stairs but before they could make it to there door levs mother came out of the kitchen.

"oh yaku, leaving so soon?" she said.

"yes ma'am- i mean hana, i told my mother i'd be home in time for dinner tonight. thank you for letting me hang out here for a while!" yaku thanked her.

"oh well of course! come back anytime and maybe next time you can stay for dinner!" hana said smiling at yaku.

"oh mom, i didn't tell you but yaku's coming over tomorrow to help me study for my exam..." lev said embarrassed.

"really? well then depending on what time you come over i'll cook you boys some lunch or dinner if you'd like!"

"thank you hana that would be nice." yaku said appreciating her kindness.

"well be safe on your way home!" hana said disappearing back into the kitchen.

"well but yaku-san, i'll see you tomorrow!" lev said mailing down at yaku.

"yeah...see you tomorrow!" yaku said responding to lev with a smile of his own which made lev's face turn red as a tomato.

"well you don't want your mom getting mad at you for being late so i won't keep you any longer, bye yaku-san!" lev said adverting his gaze from yaku's beautiful smile.

"yeah, you're right yaku said turning to walk down the path that leads to the sidewalk.

'i'll just have to tell him tomorrow'
they both thought at the exact same time.

i'm super proud of this like omg?? this book has the longest chapters i've ever written and i'm actually having fun writing them.

there's probably only going to be 1 or 2 more chapters after this one :)
