The reader is the great descendant of King Solomon, and is in possession of the last remaining Ring of Solomon, a ring that grants control of devils. He is unaware of his ancestry or the power of the ring, but he'll learn what the ring does after an encounter with the SS class stray devil Nekoshou.

He also has a Subspecies Shadow Gear Sacred gear, the Eclipse Gear, controlling both Light and Shadow. They appear as Bracelts on both left and right arms.
