Cassie, Newly Written Books: Hi, writer9616! We're glad to have you on this month's Spotlight Interview! If you wouldn't mind, could you tell us more about yourself, either on or off Wattpad?

Megan, Featured Author: Thanks for having me. Well to start I'm a 23 year old California native. I turned to Wattpad about four years ago, starting out as a silent reader. The more I read the more I got the itch to write my own stories. So that's exactly what I'm doing. I come from a very tragic childhood and just find it so therapeutic to channel those emotions and memories into my writing. The support I've gained so far has been incredible and I hope to continue impressing my readers with my writing. There's no better reward than knowing they are as in love with my characters and stories as I am!

Cassie, Newly Written Books: Awe that's so amazing that Wattpad brought that for you! It's great to see that it has become such a good platform for many people! What inspired you to write His Only Savior?

Megan, Featured Author: There were so many things that inspired me but I think if I really had to narrow it down it would be my personal experience with child abuse and my family's history of substance abuse. His Only Savior really shows the power of love and how having someone in your life who consistently pushes you to be more, to be better, can really change the course of your life. That is probably the biggest message I wanted to send, is that love really can conquer all.

Cassie, Newly Written Books: That is really a good message! Even though you went through some rough times as a child, it is so great that His Only Savior serves somewhat as an outlet for that. I'm sure many people enjoy that message while reading your story.

As you write, do you plan ahead of time before you write the story or is it planned out as you go?

Megan, Featured Author: I usually have a vision of how I want it to start and how I want it to end , the in between usually pieces itself together along the way. With this particular work however, it rolled around my head for about 6 months before I started materializing it. I usually figure out key events ahead of time and the rest just sort of naturally flows out of me once I start typing.

Cassie, Newly Written Books: Ah that's great that it took some time before you actually wrote it down! It means you really thought about it, which is wonderful! How did you come up with the title for your story?

Megan, Featured Author: Ha wow, umm honestly I'm not sure! It kind of just came to me as I was thinking about the message of the book and it sort of stuck!

Cassie, Newly Written Books: Haha that's okay! It sounds like a good title for the book so that's definitely a plus!

How does it feel to have His Only Savior featured on our Romance reading list?

Megan, Featured Author: It feels really good, but it always feels good to see/know that your hard work is appreciated! There were days I posted a new chapter and I would just constantly check my phone, looking for new likes or comments and every time I would just get giddy! The whole goal of writing is to captivate your readers so when I see my writing doing just that it just fills me with so much pride and joy!

Cassie, Newly Written Books: That is so true! I'm glad that we could provide that joy for you by adding your book because you certainly deserve it!

Do you have any advice for other writers?

Megan, Featured Author: The only advice I have is write what you're passionate about because if you aren't passionate about the message of your book then you can't expect others to be either. ♥️

Cassie, Newly Written Books: That's some wonderful advice! Everyone needs to hear that because it is so true! For our final question, I thought we should make it a little fun!

What's your favorite color?

Megan, Featured Author: I love the color lavender, I think it's very calming and pretty! :)
