Sora's POV

"Hey, Sora... Is it alright if I call you that?" Yumeno asked while she was in my lap and cuddled into my chest. She is just so cute!

"You can call me whatever you want, but I'd prefer I you called me yours." She looked up and me and laughed with her gorgeous laugh. One time she laughed so hard her face got all red and her hair was a mess and she was still as perfect as ever.

"You're so dumb." She said hiding her face in the crook of my neck. Her hair tickled my neck causing me to giggle. I looked over at the time damn it's 9:30 already.

"We should probably go because people will start to worry," I said standing up. She groaned and had a face full of disappointment.

"Hey, you want to know something?"

"Yeah"

"My disease could only be cured by telling my biggest secret. And you know what that is?" She shook her head looking confused.

"I, don't want to tell you," I said smiling and kissing her lips before running off.

"Not yet." But what she didn't know is that she already knows.

I went to the cafeteria and was joking around to try and get my mind off things.

"Hey, Mukato-chan~ you're still as stupid as ever I was wondering how does an idiot like you understand how to walk." I put my hands behind my head with a smirk on my face.

"I'M NOT STUPID YOU-"

"Why did you-" I was going to ask why he just stopped so abruptly but was interrupted by familiar arms being wrapped around me.

"Hey, you didn't answer my question." She whispered in my ear. I chuckled to myself knowing that she is shorter than me and is probably on her tippy toes right now to reach my ear. I turned around and picked her up showing her I wasn't going to back down.

"Hey, Yumeno-chan fancy seeing you here at this hour," I said putting her down hugging her after I saw that my plan was working she is a flustered mess. I leaned in to whisper in her to get her back.

"Hey, why are you so bold today," I said before blowing in her ear making her shudder. before she got yanked from my grasp by a certain asshole...

"Hey, jackass you can't just touch Yumeno like than so get lost lunatic!!" Mukato yelled grabbing me by the neck of my shirt he glared at me with fire in his eyes. It's not like he hasn't done this to me before.

"You're the scum of the earth treating her like this! You could never be able to have the honor of deserving a girl like Yumeno! You're better off dead!" He screamed dropping me to the floor before pulling Yumeno out of the room. I could see the worry and disappointment in Yumeno's eyes as she was dragged away. All I could think of was what was she disappointed in? Shit, she 's probably blaming herself for this. I tried to follow after them only to have Yuuki block the hallway.

"What do you think you're doing?" She asked eyebrow raised.

"Just leaving."

 Leaving, but to not seem suspicious I walked away from Tayaka casually until I was out of her sight before running through the halls with tears spilling out of my eyes. I don't know when I stopped, but I ended up at the front of the school. I went to the tree that would obscure me from view if someone were to walk out.

It was starting to get dark I was still crying my eyes out anxious if anyone would find me not that it mattered anyway they would probably kill me anyway. I heard tiny footsteps coming from the distance I started to get nervous all over again. Wait a normal student would have to take that many steps...

"Hey, Sora." Shi Dani said in her quiet manner.

"Hey, I'm not in the mood right now..." I said looking away from her. What does she want?

"Hey I know you just got yelled at pretty badly, but don't let that get you down." She said coming beside me and sitting down.

"Yeah, but the only thing I'm worried about is Yumeno-chan," I said quietly to myself.

"Hey, if you want to know where she is I could show you the footage of her room." She paused. I tried to hide my shock.

"If you want." I jumped up at this statement.

"You can do that?!" I said feeling anxious all over again.

"Well, ye-" 

"Then show me!" I said concern and fear coating my voice as I picked her up off the ground.

"Alright, could you put me down." She said quietly I almost couldn't hear her. Almost... I put her down slowly whispering a quick sorry. She pulled up a monitor and I knelt next to her. There was static before showing Yumeno's room. I didn't see her anywhere in her room and my anxiety skyrocketed. 

"Maybe she is on the other side of her room." She fidgeted with the side of the monitor before the picture changed showing Yumeno hugging her legs in a fettle position. You could hear quiet sobs coming from the monitor. My heart sank as I heard her mutter some comments to herself. 

I'm useless. I'm worthless. It's all my fault. She probably hates me now.  

I felt my heartbreak. I was up and running again with only one think on my mind. 

Yumeno-chan.

I felt my lungs ache from running so much, but I didn't even feel it my thoughts and anxieties of Yumeno clouding my thoughts. I saw her dorm room and Immediately started banging on it begging her to let me in. There was no sound. I quickly pulled out my things to pick the lock. The nighttime announcement played as I picked the lock in record time and swung the door open. 

"Yumeno-chan?!" I yelled in the darkness of her room. Only to hear silence. Worry plagued my thoughts. What if she got killed? What if I never get-... I couldn't finish the thought it was too painful. Through my tear blurred vision, I saw her notebook on the bed. I rushed over to it seeing if it had any information about where she could be. It was open to a poem.

I guess this would eventually happen

Someone would snap and 

my love was taken away again

and I all I had to show for it was the crushing blame

That was pilled on top of all my past shame.

I traced every letter stopping at the tear marks on the page. My heartfelt like it was torn in half. This is all that assholes fault... I sighed as I heard sobs break through the silence it took me a moment to realize they were coming from the corner of the room hidden by her bed. I rushed to the sound to find Yumeno sobbing and holding a pillow close to her chest she seemed to be half asleep. Saying nothing I picked her up and laid her down on her bed. I pulled the covers over her and went to leave, but a hand-pulled on my jacket.

"Stay." She said in a voice broken from the sobs. I did what I was told blushing a little knowing that she wanted me to stay with her unconsciously. I pulled the covers away and slipped in next to her covering both of us with the blanket.

"I'll stay with you forever Yumeno-chan."

Yumeno's POV

I woke up and felt a warm pillow in my embrace I cuddled into the pillow wanting to be closer to the warmth.

"Yumeno-chan I don't think you can cuddle any farther in my chest." It took me a second to process what Makigumo just said before my face turned red and I pulled back. 

"Sorry..." I said ashamed of what pain I caused her yesterday-

Wait why is she in my room?

"I can see you're confused, but it's 2 am so let's go back to bed," Makigumo said pulling me close to her again I only nodded before falling asleep in the arms of my beloved Makigumo a tear falling down my face into her shirt. Why did she pick me?
