"Well..." I started before being interrupted by Makigumo.

"She fell hopelessly in love with me Yuuki-chan." She said while draping her arms on my shoulders.

"Yumeno-chan is this true or another one of her lies," Yuuki said behind clenched teeth probably trying not to get angry at how childish Makigumo was being at the moment. 

"I'm offended that you would think I would lie about something as important as this!" Makigumo yelled with tears in her eyes, but they were fake like most of the time she interacted with Yuuki or Mukato. Yuuki rolled her eyes at the remark irritation covering her face.

'Might as well tell her before Yuuki-san punches Makigumo-san...' She thought to pause for a moment to give her a moment to try to think of a reasonable response. 

"Yes, Yuuki-san, Makigumo-san is telling the truth, sorry to make you angry over trash like me. This must make you very angry that Makigumo-san would choose some like me. I'm sorry I'm such a nuisance, I can understand if you don't want to talk to me anymore Yuuki-san." I said with a bow. She must hate me now, being close with someone she doesn't mesh well with, only something a truly worthless piece of trash would do to someone like Yuuki-san.

"For the last time, I don't think you're not trash, and it will just take me a little while to accept this so don't be so down on yourself," Yuuki said in her usual loud voice.

"Alright, sorry again Yuuki-san," I said with another bow before she left down the hallway. I let my eyes follow her before Makigumo pulled me out of my trance.

"You shouldn't be so down on yourself Yumeno-chan..." She said in a serious tone. She must mean it... She paused seeming to think about something before speaking again.

"Why don't I make a deal with you?" She said with a smirk.

"What kind of deal?" I asked putting my hand to my chin. What could she want from me? I have little to nothing to offer...

"If I try to be nicer to Mukato-chan then you have to be nicer to yourself. You want to be part of the deal?" Makigumo asked with a smirk on her face.

"N-nice to m-m-myself?" I asked. I was shocked, she wants someone like me to be nice to myself?

"Yeah, it hurts me Yumeno-chan..." She paused.

"What hurts you Makigumo-san?" I asked confused by her last comment.

"It hurts me to see someone I think so highly of talk so lowly about themselves." She put her hands on both sides of my face and angled my head up so I was looking at her face.

"Yumeno-chan I care about you so could you do this for me." She looked very serious, I wasn't exactly sure how to respond to this. My face went red when I realized that she was doing this for me, she cares about me and wants me to become better at loving the person I am. This has never happened to me before people always agree with what I have to say or shout at me to shut up. No one has ever cared enough to try and make me the best I can be.

"Yumeno-chan I'm sorry I didn't mean to make you cry! Forget I said anything Yumeno-chan I'm willing to move at a slower pace if that makes you more comfortable." Makigumo said with glassy eyes. Why is she crying for me?

"Makigumo-san don't you even think for one second this is your fault! It's just I have never had anyone who has cared this much about me before. I have never had anyone want to try and help me. I have never had someone that doesn't just want to take advantage of me and then abandon me when I don't have anything else to offer. I never-" I was about to continue but was stopped by her kissing me silent.

She pulled me close and held the back of my head stroking my hair. We stayed like that for a long moment before she broke away from me. I looked up at her and saw tears coming out of her eyes.

"Makigumo-san?"

Makigumo's POV

How can she think that way about herself? Why have so many people harmed her in so many ways? Why does someone so perfect have so many scars caused by the words and things people have said and done to her? I held her close after breaking away from the kiss. I didn't respond to her shock because it hurt me too much to know how much pain the world has caused her. I just held her head into my chest and cried into her hair. I need to protect her no matter what the cost. I will not let this continue any longer.

"I will never leave your side again Yumeno-chan," I said hiccuping from the sobs bursting out of my throat.

"Whatever you need from me let me know I want to help you in any way I can Yumeno-chan." I hold the back of her head and back tight as if letting go would make her fade away.

"Makigumo-san are you alright?" She said with a pause before speaking again.

"You don't have to go to such great lengths to protect me, but I'm fine letting you protect me if that makes Makigumo-san feel better." She said almost muffled by my shirt. I pulled back so I could see her face. She had a sad expression on her face while she looked at her feet. 

"Yumeno-chan-" I was cut off by an announcement.

"Heyo students upupupu!! I have an announcement at this lovely hour of 1:00 pm! I have gotten tired of no killing happening so I'm putting a motive in order since the last motive I put in order did not work as I thought it would. I'm giving 2 students the despair disease this time and I will be making it more extreme so be prepared. The diseases will kick in tonight! Have a lovely afternoon ultimates!" Shi Tenshi said before the announcement flickered to a close.

Yumeno's face immediately went pale.

"Yumeno-chan!?" I asked scared of what could be going through her head right now.

"M-makigumo-s-san I am still unable to keep everyone safe..." She paused tears coming to her eyes.

"I won't be able to save everyone. This is all my fault..." She said sobbing the entire time. She pulled away and hugged herself and buried her head in her arms.

"Sorry, I'm such a worthless being Makigumo-san," Yumeno said arms falling to her sides to reveal her red face and puffy eyes. I tried to grab her but she just walked out of the room.

"Yumeno-chan!" I called after her to only be met back with silence. My anxiety skyrocketed as the silence deepened. Before I could process anything my legs were already moving. I ran after her trying not to cry. I wasn't paying attention and ran into Tayaka on my way.

"Makigumo-chan where is Yumeno-chan?!" She asked me but I barely heard her over the thoughts plaguing my mind.

"She just left after the announcement... I have no clue where she went!" I said hysterically tears threatening to fall any second.

"Oh no she's probably trying to end her own life to give Shi Tenshi what she wants!" Yuuki yelled after realizing the pressing matter that was at hand. Tears were now falling down my face.

"We have to leave now!" I yelled grabbing her hand not caring about the questions that started to arise from the action.

"Makigumo-chan-" Yuuki tried to ask but her words were lost in the silence of the hallway.

I have to get to Yumeno-chan before she does anything to herself.
