Chapter Twenty-Four

September 8th.

Hey, Ellie. Sorry for not checking in with this journal. I can honestly tell you that being a boarding-school student is no walk in the park.

The classes are tougher (thank God that I'm a stellar student).

The guys are more intimidating than I once thought they were (including the teachers with their athletic build).

And all eyes were on me to make sure that I kept my word with Uncle Ryan's plans for me to be a part of the Triton Mystique. Speaking of which, Mom and Dad enrolled me in the highest tier package, which included being allowed to stay on the campus as a dorm student as well as having three classmates for me to shadow and them to mentor me. All three of them are brunette-haired and have the same freakishly eye color as most of the guys here: sea-green.

As for my mentors, they're identical triplets known as the Trinity Q and come from a prominent family that's been around for a very long time. All I can tell you is that one of them is like a drill sergeant on steroids, the second one is more like a muscled-up teddy bear, and the third one...well, I dunno what's his angle, but he's very spooky. I'm supposed to meet them for a dinner party Mom's throwing for me at the Headmaster's living quarters, so you already know that I can't say no to her since I promised that I'd stick around and give the place a chance. I could be wrong, girl, but something ominous and spooky's going on around here. I dunno what's in the water, but I think that it's up to me to find out. Let me go to class, Ellie. I have a feeling that tonight's going to be a long night.

-S.G. Hedare.

Foreman Hall...

"This S.G. kid definitely reminds me of myself," Ja'Marco hummed as he closed the journal and placed it into his backpack. "I wonder if the triplets he mentioned happened to be Francis, Frederich, and Ferguson. Could be a coincidence, but who can really say?"

There was a knock at his bedroom door. "Who is it?" he hollered.

The door swung open to reveal a frowning Lachlan as he, Broderick, and Bradenton stepped inside. "You made quite a scene back at your uncle's office," Lachlan said, all trace of his signature human gone as he crossed his arms. "Wanna tell us what's that about?"

Ja'Marco sighed. "You guys, I'm trying to give my all like I promised my family, but it seems like my mother's not going to be satisfied no matter what I do or how much time that I give her. And when it came down to my encounter with Uncle Jeremiah, I swear to you that she thinks that I might as well be taking drugs and worshipping the devil."

"Be serious," Bradenton scoffed.

"I am serious, Bradenton," Ja'Marco rebutted as he stood up to face the guys. "Let me make this clear about my mother. I love her like any child ought to, and I do what I can to make her happy even if it means giving up on my own happiness at times. But she's one of those moms who micromanages their children's free time down to when they can take a restroom break. Only my mother's only focused on social climbing and wanting to be the next reality-show housewife. Everyone else in the Hedare family got in line with her goals while I stick out like a sore thumb. No matter what, I always get kicked in the teeth whenever I try to put myself out there."

"But she's your mother," Broderick said gently. "And as much as you hate it, she's right about you attracting the wrong kind of people or showing her that you don't care. All she and everyone else here wants is for you to break down those walls, learn to throw caution to the wind and live a little."

Ja'Marco fought the urge to roll his eyes. "Try telling that to my late grandparents, who would've warned me to get out of this town quick, fast, and in a hurry. They would not want me to come here in the first place."

Lachlan sighed in exasperation. "Hedare, I have to say this," he said tiredly as he faced the teen. "You have this abrasive personality that's been rubbed on you by your little group of nobodies that you grew up with."

"I beg your pardon?" Ja'Marco exclaimed.

"I'm just stating the facts," Lachlan defended, giving Ja'Marco a wan smile. "From what we all know so far, you tend to give off this cold vibe that's been keeping you from truly exploring your true vibe as one of us. We see so much talent and grace within you, but you tend to overthink things or believe that you're not meant for this kind of life. If you can't trust the people who want to bring out the best in you, who can you trust?"

"That's easy. I can only trust in me, myself, and I. And I think that this is a complete waste of my time. I'm going to talk to my uncle about leaving GVA and-"

Ja'Marco's rant was cut off by Lachlan kissing him on the lips. Ja'Marco inhaled sharply, allowing the dark-skinned athletic teenager to deepen the kiss between him and his lover further before they were soon on the bed.

"Damn," Bradenton hissed. "That's fucking hot."

"Got that right," his twin brother agreed, nodding as the duo watched Lachlan break away from the kiss and hover over his cousin. "You okay, Buies?"

"Yeah," Lachlan grunted, slightly glaring at the flabbergasted Ja'Marco before they stood to his feet. To Ja'Marco, "Don't even think about talking to your uncle about leaving this school, bro. You haven't been here for even a week and yet you wanna bounce out of here. We're all invested in your future, Hedare, and we're not going to let you sit by the sidelines anymore."

"But-" Ja'Marco began.

Lachlan placed a finger on Ja'Marco's lips before letting out a dark chuckle. "Not another word," he warned, "and I think it's only fair that I have you see things my way."

He approached Ja'Marco and started unbuttoning the teen's shirt after tossing away the school jacket. "Brad? Roderick? Order in for tonight," Lachlan ordered. "Ja'Marco's not going out for a while."

"You got it," Broderick replied as he motioned for his twin to follow him out of the room. To Ja'Marco, "Oh, yeah. Aunt Mellie said that you're to be under strict watch until you decide to play ball, Jay. And you're to apologize to her and the others tomorrow."

"You can't be serious," Ja'Marco said as Lachlan continued to undress him.

"We're dead serious," Lachlan shot back as he took off Ja'Marco's shoes and socks after pushing him back on the bed. "And trust me, bro. You're going to be playing nice with everyone if you want some freedom. Right now, I plan to make you see that being a Triton can be liberating in a sexual and sensual way. And by the time I get finished with you, Ja'Marco Hedare, you're going to want to be the best Triton possible."

Gentle reader, if there is one thing to know about Lachlan Derontae Buies, it was that he was true and as bad as his word. For the next two hours, he and Ja'Marco would spend that time in a sexual debate. And as much as this author would love to give you all the details, some things are better off when the sensual moments fade to black. but never fear, my friends, as you'll indeed get a more-detailed chapter on the forbidden and passionate scenes tht will be created in the chapters to come.

Can I cook or what? Looks like the games of desires and preppification are in full play at Glenview Valley Academy for Boys. And as the gypsy warns, sometimes you gotta play the most dangerous games to get the life you want!

Coming up next, we fast-forward to two weeks as Ja'Marco is surprised with a visit from Candide as she, her family, and Felicia are heading back to California and they warn him about what's ahead. Don't go anywhere, folks!
