I HAD A GREAT DREAM LAST NIGHT

it's set in a "animals have a society unbeknownst to humans" type world, btw

so it was about this little alley cat (no name lol) who becomes this almost mythical figure called a ferry.

the ferry is this creature that is given this saddle and hat which gives them the ability to fly. their job is to deliver mail and carry small animals (like mice or w/e) across the mountain side. humans live somewhere across the mountain side

so, this little kitty quickly adjusts to her new job and has fun with it. theres only one ferry and its kinda a mantel that is passed down. shes kinda a legend now.

however, as the story passes, she is given  important cargo: a package with diamonds in it. she must deliver this to some animal in the human village

the passage goes smoothly until she gets to the human village, where some kinda shady guy (my mind inserted asher in this space. he is not asher) has been waiting for her, since she is carrying diamonds. he shoots her down, making her loose her package.

she is discovered by a normal human man who is confused that a) she talks and b) what's even happening. they decide to work together to find her stuff before the evil guy does.

my dream cut off at the darkest hour where she reclaims her magic saddle and goes on a last charge against the evil guy, but it runs out of energy and the guy gets away. she and the man are on a hillside and she has lost her motivation, but the guy is trying to keep her peppy (since shes always feisty). he forces her to play a carnival game (the human village was having this masquerade carnival), which i guess would have turned into something profound.

anyway, i really like this? it sounds so cute and good
