He felt warm...

Too warm... 

The blankets around him enveloped him so tightly that he could barely breathe. He let out a whimper, but judging by the silence around him, no one had taken notice of his predicament. Might as well try to get himself out, right? 

Wiggling around, he felt the blankets around him loosen. He was escaping! He continued with his plan, determined to break free of this stuffy prison. And then, suddenly, he was free. He felt the wind blow against his fur. He heard it howl through the sky, but other than that, it was completely silent. 

He opened his amber eyes and looked straight up, staring into the sky above. It was pitch black, with a twinkle or two here or there, but there was something else that caught his attention. The moon, this big, bright circular thing that was hanging in the black sky. He was mesmerized by it, put into a trance. He just kept staring at it, wanting to soak up all its light. It gave him hope, warmth and happiness. Those were the first emotions he has ever felt, ever. 

But then all of a sudden, voices were flooding into his mind. He didn't understand anything. except that they were too loud. He let out a panicked cry, begging for the voices to stop. And suddenly, they hushed down. They weren't completely gone, they were still there, but they were quieter now.  

He didn't know what was happening, he was scared...

He found himself hearing all the voices again, and this time, they were all panicked too. Then, he saw something... 

In his mind, the image of an elderly woman appeared. She walked up to him, picked him up, held him to her chest and whispered something into his ear. 

Then it was gone. 

He looked around, seeing a crowd of all sorts of people. Amongst them, an elderly woman walked up to him and picked him up. Her mouth didn't move, but he heard clearly... 
Impossible! This power has been eradicated! Erased! 

He didn't know what was happening. He whined again, wishing for everything to stop. Then, the elderly woman held him close to her chest and whispered.

"...Stay secret...stay hidden..." 

"...stay safe..."
