Chapter Five: Disloyalty
***WARNING TRIGGERS OF ABUSE AHEAD***
After searching for the thief that Rail claims to be in his Lands of Luxury, I decide to walk. I think about just flashing to report to Rail of my findings. Flashing is being in the place you want to be in a blink of an eye. It's normal for us to use our powers for it. But, tonight I want time to think.
"You're getting too close to him," I think. "You know The True One didn't make you to love." The True One told me when I was created that I am the Protector of the Heavens. His rules are clear.
No denying protection.
Banish the ones who disobey.
Stay pure.
I think about his rule of staying pure. I wonder if the way Rail looks at me is pure or not. His emerald eyes always shine a little bit brighter in my presence. I never see him smile the way he smiles at me with anyone else. I find myself smiling at the thought of the time we flew together. I had kiss him on the cheek.
"You know that isn't pure, Aderes" I think. I look at what's in front of me. The walls are golden marble and there are long balcony's that opens the hallway. I walk over and rest my elbows along the edge of the cold stone balcony. I sigh as soft winds blow my white hair over my blue silk robe.
I cannot deny that I favor him more than any of the other Gods. I try endlessly to reject this feeling. I don't know what the feeling is called, but it makes me feel warm inside.
I turn at the sounds of foot steps behind me. Nothing is there, only the hallway is darker than it was a moment ago. I feel the power inside me spark, lighting the room around me green. I hold my hand over the newly completed Cross Stone. I release my light clearing all the dark shadows away, except for three body outline of men.
They don't look like Ropers. They look as if they're wearing black cloaks. My body pushes a wave of white and green light. I know who these monsters are.
"You're looking well, Aderes." Shabriri, a demon of the Israelites, says. Instantly I feel my muscles tighten and push all the air out of my lungs. As I fall to the ground I start to feel him seizing my body. I lose my site, which was Shabriri famous power. My back arches and my arms thrash around. I do this until I lose all strength and lay still. Slowly I can see again.
I cold hand grabs my arm. I try to pull away from him which only causes him to dig his nails into my skin. White light streams out and I scream at the flood of pain. A sharp blade cuts into my arm. Liquid posion leeks into my veins. I turn to look at my arm turning black but I start to laugh.
"You really think that will work! Ha." My silver light poured out of the cut and the black tar flowed out with it.
"Shut her up! Hold her down." Adramelech, is also here. He is a fallen angel who became the President of the Senate of the demons. He is also the Chancellor of Hell and supervisor of Lucifer's wardrobe.
"I can't find it." says the demon that is craving into my arm.
"Check the rest of her body. Take her dress off already."
I try focusing on the stone that gave more power than any other God. I feel the power in my veins but than a black figure kneels down in front of me. "I'm going to enjoy this." The figure takes his robe off and he shreds mine exposing my chest.
Lucifer, the most beautiful angel ever created, had fallen to the deepest parts of The True One's hell and somehow he was here. "Where is the Cross Stone, Aderes?" My power pushes another wave of white and green around the hallway. The other demons fall down, but he doesn't. Instead he forces his lips on mine.
It isn't a kiss. Its a life sucking leech taking my powers. My skin begins to crack and my white light shines threw. I scream so loud it hurts my own ears. "You cant do this." I say. I thrust my legs up, kicking.
"Oh, but I can." Lucifer hisses. He takes the knife that is in my arm and put it to my heart. "Where is the stone?"
I face away from him, Refusing to give into his threats. I wont expose Rail for giving me the Cross Stone. He'd be banished by The True One's orders, I couldn't lose him.
The demons one by one try to get me to confess by cutting me, stabbing me, and then...
Then that's when Jay found Lucifer laying on me taking the purest thing from my body. Jay tries to get to me, to help me, but Shabriri blinds him. Lucifer never stops. My head turns away from all of them. I cant see what's in front of me. My tears blurs my vision. I try to tell yell, to scream, to say stop, but his lips kept sucking my power, my light, and my will to fight. I didn't want to be there. I start to pray that Rail will find me. But he doesn't.
Jay is tied to the balcony trying to find me, to help me. He yells out my name and begs them to stop.
"Aderes, where is the Cross Stone?!" Adramelech yelled as Lucifer moves against my body again. Still I say nothing.
"Its in her chest. Stop! Please." Jay yells. I stare at him. I can see him blinking but he still cant see. I want him to see the anger and disloyally he has added to the pain I feel. Soon, my chest is sliced open and searching hands into it.
I'm going to die.
***
When I opened my eyes, I was back sitting on that old pink couch. The woodstove was burning embers and the room laid dark. Rail was looking at me with somber eyes.
"I remember now."
