Why did he do it?

Why did he left the baby there?

She would die.

No one would come to pick her up.

Why did his lover appeared after months of absence, just to leave a baby behind.

He said it was their baby, but that was impossible. They were both males, they couldn't get pregnant.

At least if they were both humans.

In the back of his mind he knew the answer of that question. He had known it for a long time already. And deep in his heart he believed him when he said it was their baby. She looked like them.

But her eyes were to big and dark. And her hair was too bright. She couldn't be human.

That his lover wasn't human, wasn't necessarily a surprise. The meetings in the wood. His absence in the village. The lack of fear for the spirit of the forest. And most of all, you could only enter their space if you followed a specific path. A path created by magic to keep everyone out. Except for the wanted ones.

He needed to find her.

His daughter.

He needed to care for her.

Maybe the village and the woodsmen would shun him. Than that was just the price he would have to pay.

His daughter would always be more important than what other thought of him.

He just needed to find her.

Bring her back home.

Find her and bring her home.

Find, her.

Bring, home.

Find.
