The bright awakening presence of a light, danced on top of my shielded eyes. This must be a sign to wake up. Blink once. Blink twice. With a fluster of my eyes, I squint to see the sun glaring through blinds. But these aren't my room blinds ? Where am I ?

I try to shuffle and find where my glasses are but a random whimper caught my attention. A petite frame was laying on the side of my body. Their eyes shut and lips slightly ajar. They looked so peaceful; the thought of them laying their with such tranquility made a tiny smile spread upon my face.

But that smile faded as the memories of last night flowed in. That supposed partner of yours, cheated and left you to crawl and drown in your own tears. The asshole had no regards for your precious heart. There I came in, to your rescue with your favorite snacks and my comfort. Tissues weren't necessary because with me I know you'd be happy. And with you I'd be happy as well.

I'd make you laugh and I'd make the best side of you be the only side of you. Your imperfections and flaws are things of imagination in my eyes. To me you're everything. You're so beautiful and everyone else can tell.

To you I'm just a support. I'm the crutch to your emotional sprain. That one person to call when all is all. The one you trust with everything but never one to see beyond that. In my heart I can feel us going farther but in your eyes you just see a friend.

But it's okay. I'll always be here for you. Even if you don't realize that I'm feeling this feeling towards you; it'll all be okay. You can go and have relationships with other people because as long as that heart warming smile is across your face, then I'm happy as well. The best for you is the best for me.

So don't worry baby, I won't move from this mattress. I'll remain until you awake. I'll cherish these small moments with you because I know once you wake up:
