Sadie's POV-

I walk through the graves. Suddenly a light appears in front of me. A fog rolls in as Anubis appears.

"Hello," he says.

"H-hi," I say, suddenly nervous. My heart is fluttering. Great. I hate my heart as of this moment.

"I can only be here for a couple minutes," he says and my disliked heart drops.

"Why?" I ask.

"Osiris needs me. He doesn't know I'm here," Anubis says. "Its a pit stop before I get there."

"Ah. So you came and wanted to see me before you go see my father huh?" I ask.

"Yep," he says. I nod awkwardly. His dark eyes search mine. "You look good."

"Thanks," I say. "You do too."

He nods. "Well, I have to go," he says.

"Bye," I tell him. He does something that makes my heart beat quicker: he kisses me. When I open my eyes, he's gone.
