Jinora's POV-

"Jinora, get in here and take care of Rohan!" Korra yells at me. "Hurry up! Mako is taking me to dinner and I have to get ready!"

Why does she always have to bail on babysitting my siblings? And she always bails for a guy! "I'm coming," I say, exasperated.

I walk downstairs and see Korra freaking out. "Are you OK?" I ask her.

"No, I'm not," she says.

"Well, go back to your house and get ready. I can take care of Rohan, Ikki, and Meelo," I say while sighing.

Korra bolts out of the house as I say,"Rohan! Ikki! Meelo! Come in here!"

They all come running in the living room. "Korra had to leave, again," I say.

"Why?" Ikki asks.

"For some boy," I tell her.

"But she is so fun!" Meelo whines.

"I know, but I am fun too," I say.

"Um, sorry to break your bubble, but you're not," Ikki says.

"What?" I ask.

"We're home!" I hear mom yell.

"Mommy!" Rohan yells and runs away.

Oh thank goodness they are back! "Hey, sweetheart. Where is Korra?" Dad asks me.

"Oh she had to leave because of a boy," I tell him.

"Again? I hope you won't be like that," he says.

"No promises," I say and smile.

"OK, class, you may leave," my teacher told my class.

I get up and hurry out of the class as I hear people whispering behind my back. I feel something collide with my back and I fall on my face. Everyone who is in the hall start laughing at me. My face starts heating up as I grab my stuff. The bell rings and everybody goes to their next class. Except this one boy. His hair is shaved except for the top. He is wearing a green hoodie with jeans. "Why aren't you in class?" I ask him as I grab the rest of my stuff.

"I would ask you the same thing, but I already know," the boy says.

"You didn't answer my question," I say.

"I was going to help you, but I guess you got it," he says.

"My name is Jinora. What is yours?" I ask him.

"Kai," he says and walks away.

Kai and I have seen each other in the halls the last few days. Every time I see him, my heart flutters. "Korra, can I ask you a question?" I ask her.

"Sure," she says.

"So I like this one guy. What do I do?" I ask her.

"You actually like someone?" I nod. "Tell him how you feel."

"That's all I have to do?" I ask her.

"Yeah, then see if he likes you," she says.

"Thanks so much, Korra!" I say and hug her.

"Hey, Kai," I say. "Can I tell you something?"

"Yep," he says.

"I-I like you," I tell him while looking at my feet.

"You like me?" he asks.

"Yeah," I say.

"I like you too," he says suddenly.

"What?" I ask him.

"I like you too," he repeats for me.

"Really?" I say.

"Yeah," he says.

I smile and grab his hand. We walk to lunch with everybody staring at us, but I didn't care.
