Chapter 11: A new friend.
P.O.V. [Name]
I signed as we continued to walk through the woods. When I did Neo looked at me. "Are you still thinking about Roman?" She asked looking at me.
"Yeah . . . I just find it a little hard to believe that I'm not gonna be able to see him again," I said looking at her. When I said this I sat down on a nearby stump and she looked at me.
"You know even before you joined he talked about you a lot," Neo said as she sat beside me.
"Really?" I asked looking at her.
"Yeah, he would always talk about how when he came to visit, he'd help you train," she said looking at me.
"Yeah we would, he'd always help me when it came to training. He thought me almost everything I know. You know when I wanted to be a huntsman he actually taught me how to defeat him if we ever fought," I said looking at her.
"Really? He never mentioned that part," She said looking at me.
"Probably because he didn't want Cinder finding out if he ever decided to rebel," I said looking at her. When I said this she looked at me and sighed. She then placed her hand on top of mine and sighed.
"Yeah he didn't seem to like Cinder that much. But he was always so certain that you were going to be a great huntsman. He even went to congratulate you on entry day. But . . . Well . . . You know how that ended," she said looking at me.
I nodded when she said this and I looked at her. "I just . . . I can't leave him there," I said looking at her.
"I know what you mean. We could go back if you want but then his sacrifice could be for nothing," she said looking at me. I nodded hearing this and looked at her.
I then stood up and looked at her. "Let's go I don't think that Vacuo is that much further," I said looking at her. When I said this she nodded and we began to walk.
While we were walking I couldn't help but think about Roman and sighed. 'I hope your okay,' I thought to myself as we continued.
P.O.V. Roman
I slowly opened my eyes to see that Cinder was sitting in a chair in front of me. She appeared to be reading a book but noticed that I had awoken and closed the book. "Another day of this huh?" I asked looking at her.
"You know this could end anytime you want it to. You just need to tell me where they went," Cinder said looking at me. I looked at her when she said this and sighed.
"I don't know how many times I need to tell you this but I don't know where they went," I said looking at her. When I said this she looked at me a little angry.
She then threw a fireball towards my feet. When she did it exploded and I was sent back into the wall behind me. When I landed I felt a hand holding me up by my throat.
When I looked I saw that Cinder was looking at me. "I know you're lying. Even if he didn't tell you where he went you would know where he was going because he trusted you more than anyone," she said looking at me. She then showed me her hand and I saw a fireball appear.
"Y-you know you're not as scary as you used to be," I said looking at her. When I said this she looked at me and squeezed my neck a little harder.
"What?" She asked looking at me.
"I may not look it but I value my family more than anything else. [Name] is my nephew and the only one I have. Then there's Neo she may not be blood related but she loves [Name] and he loves her so as far as I'm concerned she's apart of my family as well," I said looking at her.
When I said this she squeezed my neck even harder and the flame in her hand started to burn brighter. "Enough, I think I've let you ramble on for long enough. Do you know where they're going or not? Tell me now or I'll kill you in a heartbeat," she said looking at me.
When she said this I sighed and thought of [Name]. '[Name] you'll overcome my death, and it'll only make you stronger. I hope that you and Neo have a happy life and please be careful,' I thought as I thought of all the time I had spent with my nephew.
I then smiled and looked at Cinder. "You what Cinder you're right, I do know where they're going but like I said I value them more than anything and I find the idea of losing them far more terrifying than you. So torture and kill me if you want I have no intention of telling you anything!" I said looking at her.
Cinder seemed more than irritated by this and looked at me. I then closed my eyes ready for whatever Cinder was about to do. However an explosion suddenly appeared I saw a familiar figure looking at Cinder.
"Seems like you've gotten pretty used to having your way. Well that ends here I have no sympathy or mercy for humans like you," the male said looking at Cinder. I smiled hearing this and kicked Cinder away from me.
'Maybe I won't die today after all,' I thought as I looked at the two in front of me.
