The next movie had finished and Evan turned on the lights. His eyes went directly to the two open seats in his living room (not counting his own).

"Kyle and Scotty aren't back?" Evan asked, furrowing his brows. To him, it wouldn't have been that big of an issue if it were still daylight out, but the sun had set and it was now nighttime.

Maxis was nervous about her brother, however slightly relieved that the others were now noticing. She had already been hesitant about letting her brother go outside alone, and when he didn't come back once the movie started, she got a little bit worried. All throughout the movie, she would text him, only making herself even more worried when he wouldn't answer.

"You think they're still outside?" Jaren asked, looking between the two empty seats and Evan.

Evan shrugged, "Your guess is as good as mine," he replied as he headed towards the front door, while leaving the others in the living room.

As he opened the door, his eyes scanned the driveway. Seeing Scotty's car was still in the driveway, he'd head back into the living room to tell the others.

"Well, his car is still out there, so the two of them didn't bail..." Evan sighed and then continued, "unless they decided to just run away." 

"Maybe they went for a walk and got lost?" Shannon spoke, saying whatever she thought of, "I mean, you do have a lot of woods around your house, Evan..." she added.

Although she didn't show it, Shannon was also quite worried about Kyle, and of course Scotty too, but moreso Kyle because the two were dating.

John nodded, "Shannon has a point. Remember when we were younger and all of us got lost when your parents thought it'd be a great idea to do a scavenger hunt in the woods?" He chuckled, trying to lighten the mood.

Evan cracked a smile but then his serious face returned, "Yeah." He nodded and continued, "maybe we should go out and look for them?"

Jaren nodded in response, "That sounds like a great idea."

The others seemed to be in agreement as well with the idea. The group would now try to come up with a plan on how to go about finding Kyle and Scotty.

Evan spoke first, "okay, so, I think someone should stay back here, just in case Kyle and/or Scotty come back," he turned his attention towards both Shannon and Maxis.

"You mean one of us?" Shannon replied, motioning to both herself and Maxis.

Evan nodded, "Yes, one of you, especially because it might be Kyle that's returning."

Shannon gave a nod and sighed as she turned to Maxis. The two ladies staring at each other, wondering which one would volunteer. It appeared that neither of them really wanted to stay behind.

Maxis finally nodded, mumbling a reply and sighing, "I'll stay back, I guess."

Although she didn't say it, she was a bit irritated that Evan had already decided that it was going to be either Shannon or herself, that would stay back instead of one of the others. Especially, considering one of the missing people was her brother and Shannon's boyfriend.

Evan smiled, "Thanks Maxis." He would then turn to the others, "Ready?"

Once that was all settled, the group of four would head outside while Maxis sighed, locking the door behind them, just in case.

Upon stepping outside, the group all turned on their phone flashlights, since it was night after all. Once they did that, Shannon was the first to notice some dried, red droplets on the ground.

"Guys, I think I already found something..." Shannon stuttered, pointing at the ground and shining her phone flashlight onto it.

Jaren was the first to look down, his eyes widening, "the hell happened here? Did Scotty and Kyle get into a fist fight or something?"

Evan couldn't help but chuckle/snicker at Jaren's question because of how absurd it was. His snicker appeared to have gone unnoticed.

Meanwhile, John took it upon himself to start following the red spots, having noticed that they formed a trail.

"Evan, it looks like it goes down your driveway!" He called out, shining his light back to the others.

Evan and the other two would follow behind, letting John lead the way down the steep driveway.

As they reached the end of Evan's driveway, the group shined their lights all around, looking for where the red trail was leading them.

Shannon would scream, having shined her flashlight into the ditch and seeing Scotty's bloody body.

"Holy shit!" John shouted, in response to having also seen what Shannon saw.

Evan and Jaren both gasped. The two being completely speechless about it as their minds trying to comprehend what they saw. Soon both of them were looking in the direction of Shannon and John, as they heard someone yelling and snapping their fingers.

"Woah, woah, woah!" John was snapping his fingers as he saw Shannon wobbling back and forth.

It seemed like the sight of Scotty's dead body covered in all of the stab wounds and blood was enough for Shannon, to the point where she was on the verge of passing out.

Soon enough, Evan was diving to catch the female, who did end up fainting. He would gently set her on the ground and stand beside her.

"I think you guys should still look for Kyle, just in case he's in danger. I'll stay here and help Shannon, if she wakes up." Evan spoke, looking towards his other two friends.

Jaren turned to John, who nodded in response. The two of them would head out, going towards the woods as Evan stayed there with Shannon's unconscious body.

A/N: Well, it looks like the group (minus Maxis) found Scotty's body and now, both John and Jaren are on the hunt to find Kyle. While Evan stays behind with Shannon, who fainted. I wonder what'll happen next? O.o We shall find out next time! Stay safe and peace out!
