× Chapter Eight ×

The rest of the group had now realized that Evan was right. Scotty snuck out sometime and they didn't even notice it for the most part.

"I mean, he could just be on the phone with Chrissy." Jaren replied, shrugging a bit.

Kyle nodded, "That's true. I know when Shannon and I call each other, we usually talk for hours, so it's not unusual." He replied, chuckling as he saw Shannon lightly blush, then he continued, "Let me see if he's outside..." He added, getting up from his spot on the couch.

"Are you sure? I mean, I can go out and check if you want." John replied, offering so that way his friend wouldn't have to.

Kyle nodded, "Yes, its not like I'm running a marathon, guys. I'm literally just taking a few steps outside." He chuckled before adding, "I'll be right back." He then headed towards the front door.

Maxis would watch her brother, nervously, as she didn't like the idea of him going out alone. She (along with Shannon) had grown slightly more protective over him after what happened a month ago.

Evan responded with a nod, although he too, was skeptical about letting Kyle go out there. However, he decided to change the subject, "I'm going to go to the basement and grab some more sodas and stuff, since the fridge is almost out."

Jaren got up as well, stretching as he stood up, "Well, I guess while they're doing that, I'm gonna use the bathroom, been holding it in since halfway through the first movie."

"And I will go to the kitchen to get a snack, anyone want anything?" John asked, taking responses from everyone.

All four of the guys had left then, going to their own places, leaving just Shannon and Maxis in the living room. Shannon would start the next movie, assuming that everyone would be back once the movie was going.

When Kyle stepped outside, he closed the door behind him and looked around the porch.

"Scott? You out here?" Kyle asked, noticing that no one was on the porch.

He would take a few steps down the porch and noticed nothing out of the ordinary, especially since Scotty's car was still parked with the others.

"What'd he do? Run away?" Kyle muttered and then chuckled to himself, finding his thought funny.

He was about to turn back to go in, but he saw something at his feet. Looking down, Kyle saw that there were a few drops of blood.

"The fuck?" Kyle mumbled, squinting and crouching to get a closer look.

Soon, he would notice that the blood drops seemed to formed a trail and it looked like it was leading down Evan's long driveway. So, instead of alerting everyone else like a normal person would've, Kyle let his curiosity get the better of him and decided to follow the trail, even if he groaned at the thought of having to walk down and then back up Evan's steep driveway.

***

Finally nearing the end of the long driveway, Kyle saw something laying in the ditch that was on Evan's property.

"I've got a bad feeling about this..." Kyle muttered to himself.

As Kyle approached the ditch, his face would fill with horror. The male gasped loudly and covered his mouth, once he was able to see what was in the ditch. What he had seen was Scotty's body and it was stabbed to hell. His whole body, meaning his face, neck, torso and legs were all either sliced or stabbed.

Upon seeing his friend's body, Kyle started to feel around for his own phone so he could call the cops or whoever.

"Fuck me!" Kyle cursed, realizing pretty quickly that he didn't have his phone with him.

After that, Kyle heard a noise. It sounded like a branch snapping from someone stepping on it. He whipped around to where it came from and his eyes widened.

"Oh, fuck no!" He yelled.

Obviously, what Kyle had seen was Ghostface. The masked killer didn't waste any time either, they started coming directly towards Kyle. Of course, Kyle would take off running. However, instead of running back up the long driveway, he would head into the woods surrounding Evan's property. Not the best idea he ever had, however he thought that he could lose Ghostface in the trees, somewhere.

***

After being chased through the woods, Kyle stopped for a brief second. He needed to catch his breath, plus he no longer heard Ghostface on his tail. Kyle was leaning up against a tree and he decided to look back at where he had come from, wanting to see if Ghostface was in fact still out there.

Kyle furrowed his brows in confusion, as he didn't see any traces of Ghostface. It was like they had vanished, like a real ghost. That actually made him more worried, because they could literally be hiding in a tree or something and attack him. During the time that he was looking at the path he took, Kyle felt a sharp, stabbing pain in his back. Shouting out in pain, he turned his head to the side and saw the familiar black cloak and white mask that belonged to Ghostface.

Seemingly learning their lesson from the first encounter, Ghostface ripped their knife out of Kyle's back, causing him more pain and preventing him from turning around to fight back. Then, they'd plunge the knife into his back again, causing Kyle to let out a few yelps of pain. Gripping their knife, Ghostface would also lift one of their legs/boots up. As they yanked the knife out for the second time, they would also forcefully kick Kyle in the back, sending him face first into a nearby tree. The blow to the head was enough to knock Kyle unconscious. Once they realized that Kyle wasn't getting back up, Ghostface would take their free hand and wipe the blood off of the blade with their glove, then they would head in the direction of Evan's house, leaving Kyle's unconscious body lay in the woods.

....

A/N: Well shit, I guess Kyle shouldn't have said "I'll be right back" >~< and poor Scotty, too. I wonder what's going to happen next? O.o (although, I already know xp). Peace out, I'll see you in the next chapter!
