Chapter One : Part One : Moving Pictures
You sat on the sofa, one knee pulled to you chest and one hanging loosely off the sofa. You had to go to your stepdad Henry's old workplace. He had gotten a letter from his old co-worker, and that gave your mom the idea.
Henry walked in, a small stack of mail in his hands. He set it on the island and pulled out one letter. "What's it say?" Asked Mom, Putting chocolate pancakes on the table.
Henry opened it and read it aloud. "Dear Henry, It seems like a lifetime since we worked on cartoons together. 30 years really slips away, doesn't it? If your back in town, Come visit the old workshop. There's something I need to show you. Your best Pal, Joey Drew."
"Isn't Joey Drew that man who worked on the Bendy The Dancing Demon cartoon?" Asked Mom. "Yeah."
"What's that?" You asked, Looking up from your phone. At least you were reading..
"Oh, It's an old cartoon that's not on television anymore. Too bad... It was the best children's comedy TV series you could ever find." Mom explained, looking at the flat screen in awe.
"Honey, Why don't you go with your father to his old workplace! It'd be a great bonding experience!" "But I don't-" You started. "That be great! I'm sure the more the merrier!" Henry smiled.
He did love you, and you loved him, It's just you've only knee him for 3 years of your life, since you were 11.
Current Time
You were already pushed through the door, your black sneakers blending in to the blacl ink you instantly stepped in.
"Alright, Joey. I'm here. Let's see if we can find what you wanted me to see." Said Henry, wiping the small bit of ink off your cheek.
There were posters hanging along the wall. One with a headless thing, A wolf, and a large hand. "Alright, Come on. We need to go find the Ink Machine." He told you. You nodded and began following him.
There was a small cardboard cutout on the wall. You stared at it, almost running into Henry. "He looks like those little people who, like, Cosplay some random tv character." You said, Not too loud, but loud enough for Henry to hear.
"Kinda does, huh?" He looked back, smiling at you. You returned the smile, and he turns back before he ran into something.
BOOM! One chapter done, Like a billion more to go.
