Patton x Reader
Confessions
Patton has been feeling so in love for months now, and everyone can tell. Even Thomas was confused on why his heart was even more sentimental and loving than before. Patton would hum while he would cook in the kitchen, kiss the cheeks of his 'sons' whenever he felt cuddly or sentimental (which was very often), and he would often listen to classic love songs in his room at full volume. While Logan found it extremely annoying, the other sides were happy that their bubbly friend has finally found someone that made him happy.
He couldn't help it, though. You were spouse material! He loved how caring and happy you were when you were with him. When he met you, he found you in the dumps, completely hopeless. He was happy to help you heal your broken heart, since he felt you deserved the most love he could give. He wanted to be different than your last relationship. You deserved happiness, and who better to give that to you than Thomas's heart himself. It wasn't like he helped you only. He found himself learning so much about life when he was with you. You taught him how to live his life to the fullest. Needless to say, you two relied on each other equally, and wouldn't have it any other way.
As your feelings grew for the cheerful personality, you couldn't help but come out of your shell. It wasn't easy, since it made you nervous to open up to people after your last relationship, but Patton seemed to make you believe that he was someone to trust. As days pass by, you also began to see the world in a much joyful light. While you had your doubts still, you felt mostly confident in your desire to be with Patton.
As you tried to find a way to confess to the man, Patton was already ready to confess to you. When he discovered your love for singing, he made sure to remember it so he could use it as a way to confess to you romantically. His plan was to invite you over to the upcoming Christmas party Thomas was hosting. After a couple of cookies to loosen both of you up, he would sing a classic song and serenade you before he would confess to you the speech he's been rehearsing for weeks. His plan was practically perfect in every way (heh), and foolproof. He was determined to make sure you would feel loved and cared for.

Virgil watched as his hypothetical father paced in the living room while the party was going on. "What's wrong?" He asked. Patton turned his worried eyes towards the brooding personality. "(Y/n) is late. Where are they? Are they ok?" As he was ranting to Virgil, the doorbell rang. He practically ran to the door and opened it to see a stunning sight. "Wow...u-uh...hi (y/n)!" He stuttered out. You smiled and hugged the blushing man tightly. "Thank you for inviting me! I brought some food!" You held up the plate of steaming (insert whatever you like to cook :D ). He grinned and let you inside.
The party continued on well through the night, and all the sides managed to fit in and have fun with other people. However, Patton was worrying about his plan. "Relax, buddy! They'll love it!" Roman said enthusiastically. Patton finally sighed and nodded in agreement. He just wanted to desperately make you happy forever. If he wanted to do that, he had to get through this nerve-wracking confession.
When the clock struck 9:00 pm, Patton decided to set up the karaoke machine and let others sing their own songs before he did his performance for you. He watched you from across the room happily talking with Thomas. He visibly relaxed and smiled at you. As long as you were happy, he would give anything.
At that, he stood from his chair and went to the microphone. However, he was taken aback when you went up to the microphone instead. "I want to do something a bit different." You turned your eyes towards Patton. "Hey buddy, wanna come up here for a sec?" Patton visibly tensed and hesitantly went up to stand next to you. "This next song is dedicated to someone that really means a lot to me," You said lovingly. With that, you dropped the microphone on the chair nearby and nodded to Thomas to play the music. You watched as Patton blushed brightly when he heard the first few runs of Mariah Carey's beautiful voice. You grinned and moved to dance with him slowly to the beat of the music. He watched you as you mouthed the words of the chorus, and began to forget the people around you two. You rested your head on his chest as you continued to dance. "You really thought I didn't know that you were gonna do some grand gesture to confess to me?" You teased. Patton tended and began to stutter out random excuses. You only laughed and kissed his cheek tenderly, then continued to rest your head on his chest.
"You know, I don't need some big dramatic gesture from you if you wanted to tell me you loved me." You hugged him tighter. For once, you felt safe in someone's arms. "Patton, you don't need to change how you act to woo me. A little gesture like this," you paused and gestured to your dancing. "It's enough to convince me to be with you." Patton smiled and kissed your forehead. As you continued to dance, he couldn't help but feel grateful that you both were accepting of each other. While Patton has had many happy days, he would forever remember this day as the day he finally felt complete.
