Logan x Reader
Confessions
Logan paced back and forth in the living room. He decided to invite you over to hang out with him for the day, but today won't be like any other hangout day you two have had. Today he planned on confessing to you, and he needed all the advice he could get from his fellow sides.
"Ooh! Logan, you could use my list of witty, logical puns to woo them over! They always laugh at my puns!" The light-hearted personality said. Logan groaned and looked at Patton. "Really? Do you want me to embarrass myself in front of them? Pathetic suggestion, next." Roman stood up abruptly as Thomas moved to comfort the other dejected side. "I say you take them out to the romantic park Thomas always passes by on the way to our house! Sometimes a romantic setting can make all the difference in your confession's success!" Logan smiled, and a rare laugh that resembled a love-struck chuckle, escaped through his pursed lips. Patton squealed in reaction to hearing such music in his ears. "This is so wholesome to watch! My little Logie is in looooooooove!" He said teasingly. As Logan turned a bright shade of red and argued with Patton, Virgil watched on with amusement. While he did think helping Logan with love advice (of all things) was amusing, he knew you more than most people. He knew that Logan would be in for a surprise when the time comes to confess to you.
You stepped out of the car and fixed your appearance to look somewhat presentable. Truth be told, you almost forgot you had to spend some time with Logan, as you were preoccupied with the painful process of publishing your music the entire day. After knocking on the door a few times, the door swung open to a completely new Logan. He was dressed in a full suit with contacts to replace his glasses. He leaned against the doorway and gave you a half-hearted smirk. "Hey...(y/n)—"
"Go change, I'll wait in the car," you said bluntly, and shut the door on him. Sometimes, you couldn't help but laugh at the attempts he made to try to impress you. Little to his knowledge, you knew fully well the man was in love with you. He would always stare at you for too long and struggled to accept his emotions in an obvious way that made you connect the dots. Although you felt a bit embarrassed for the guy, you had to admit that you found his attempts to woo you, endearing. As you sat in the car amused of the situation you're in, Logan opened the door and gave you directions to the park you both used to spend time together in by walking and chatting about nonchalant topics. By the time you reached the park, the sun was beginning to set, in which Logan silently thanked any possible deity or spiritual force that helped provide an advantage for his confession.
You rested your forearms on the railing of the bridge, and looked down at the wavy river. You found it beautiful: the way the water ripples and distorts the image of life under the river, and the view of the shadows of little fishes making their way through the calming mass of blue. Logan admired you from afar, then made his way over to stand next to you. He watched the sun set and looked over to see the last of its light shining on your perfect face.
He shook his head and cleared his mind. He needed to get this right. The man rehearsed this repeatedly for weeks, and even got advice from Roman and the other personalities just to make you feel special tonight. He felt you deserved that. What better way to please an artist than to show them a view that takes anyone's breath away? "(Y/n)...there's something I need to tell you," He said hesitantly. You turned your gaze from the water towards him. "Yeah?" He paused for a bit and blushed, looking down at the ground shyly. "Logan..." you trailed off. He blushed even more and took a deep breath, looking everywhere but you and fixed his glasses nervously. "Well...uh..." he tried his best to remember his rehearsed speech. "(Y/n) when I look at you, I feel so truly alive—er, not in a weird way— but — uh, did you know that the average fish swims in the—"
You watched him blankly. You finally drew the lines together and realized what he was trying to do. You laughed while he went off on his tangent. Before he could possibly blush more and talk any louder, you grabbed his tie and pulled him into an intimate kiss. You two stayed in this state of bliss for a moment more before breaking apart. He looked at you with a shock and embarrassment. Of the time you knew him, you've never seen the logical side become so flustered and unsure of what to do. You smirked. "Logan Sanders. I love you too."
With that, he visibly relaxed, pulling you into a gentle embrace. While the personality may know all facts there are to know about love, you gave him the last puzzle piece he needed: how it feels like to be in love.
