Your First Meeting

A/n: So...yeah. This is happening. Hope y'all will like it. Hopefully I'll warm up to him soon...
~~~~~
Let's set the mood, shall we?
"And then, the stupid frat boy just freakin' fell down the stairs while trying to catch up to me! It was too late though. I left him in a blink of an eye. Ain't nobody gonna use me like that!" The whole room erupted in laughter, causing you to smile. You were happy being the comedic genius and life of the party. You were just one charismatic person that only wants to have fun and make sure everyone at every party is having fun too. As everyone was talking around you, your friend Thomas rushed in with a look of panic in his face. Your laugh vanished and you got up, worried. You ran over to a panicking Thomas. "Hey buddy, you ok?" You asked worriedly. He didn't answer, but he was breathing harshly. Your brain thought for a moment what could possibly be wrong until it finally clicked: the man was having a panic attack. You decided to dismiss yourself and made an excuse to everyone that you would take care of Thomas being supposedly drunk. You gently wrapped your arms around his waist and slowly guided him to an empty room next to your bedroom. Setting him on the bed, you sat next to him and rubbed his back soothingly.
As you guided him through his attack, you couldn't help but feel curious as to what triggered Thomas tonight. With that, you snapped your fingers to summon his four personalities. Immediately, all four rose up quickly and panicked before setting their eyes on you. They relaxed. "(Y/n), please, a warning next time. Nobody else knows about us at this party," Logan said, fixing his tie nervously. You looked at Thomas, who's breath was shallowing out at last. "What triggered him?" You couldn't help but feel protective of Thomas. You were like a parent to all your friends, constantly worrying about them and wanting to protecting them from harm.
Shh~
A moment of silence passed, and you looked up at the four sides, confused. "What?" Roman bit his lip. "(Y/n), w-we can't...tell you." Patton nodded in agreement. "Sorry kiddo but Roman's right. Unless Thomas tells us to, we simply can't tell you." You were about to explode in anger when Virgil finally piped in to impart his wisdom. "Listen (y/n), this has to do with Thomas's own self that caused him to panic like this. Because of that, we can't tell you. If you want to know, he needs to want to tell you." You were surprised. "So you're saying...if you can't tell me, then it must be because it has to do with another personality of Thomas...right?" At your comment, the other sides shot each other looks, stunned you could even figure that out. Then again, Virgil did give a tiny hint to you about Thomas getting freaked out over his own self.
Closer, my darling. You're almost there~
You looked over at Thomas and held his hands, letting him look into your eyes. "Thomas...we've been friends for so long. You know you can trust me," you pleaded desperately. You just wanted your friend to feel better and you wanted to help in any way you can. You could tell he was conflicted. His eyes practically swirled with clashing dark and light colors. You felt his hands shake. Growing more concerned, you squeezed his hands harder. "Thomas—" he stopped your sentence and stood up quickly. "I'm fine! Please don't worry about me. I'll...be taking my leave, Ok? I just need a few moments to myself." With that, he left you and the sides alone in the room, utterly confused and frustrated. Even though you wanted to chase after Thomas and interrogate him more, you knew he would just stubbornly deny everything until you gave up. You heard a distant sigh from one of the sides, but you kept your eyes closed until you heard them all scuffle out the door and when it quietly clicked shut.
You're all mine now, my love.
You rubbed your eyes, exhausted from the recent events. You got up to get ready for bed when you felt a gust of wind blow on your neck. Every last nerve stood to attention as shivers ran down your spine. The room seemed to darken, creating a horrific atmosphere. Your breath caught in your throat, scared at what was happening. You slowly backed up again on the bed and sat down, putting your head on your knees and keeping your eyes shut.
The room was silent.
A distant chuckle.
"Don't be afraid darling, I won't hurt you~"
A gentle touch on the shoulder and you wake up from your nightmare, panting harshly at its intensity. You took a look at your surroundings and sighed in relief. No creepy man or dark room, but a concerned mother and sunshine shining through the curtains. You smiled and reassured your mother you were fine until she gave up and left you alone in your room. You brought your knees up and wrapped your arms around them, looking out the window to daydream once again.
A figure slipped into the darkness, disappearing as you kept reassuring yourself it was all a nightmare.
             Are you sure it was all a dream?
Soon, my love. Soon.
