Deceit x Reader
Deception and Destruction
Part 1
Warning : Deceit is dark in this one. It's a two part series, so if you're not interested in a dark Deceit plot, then you don't have to read it. Otherwise, I must warn you that this won't be a romantic nor healthy story. It deals with dark topics.
If you're still interested, then here it is.

Your fist continued to slam on the door, now sore and red at this point. You knew your friend Thomas very well, so you knew that he would be home by now. After a moment of waiting, you could hear footsteps rushing down the stairs, giving you a moment to hide all signs of anger and agitation from Thomas.
There was no possible way that you could tell Thomas the real reason why you came over to stay the night. You hastily put together a decent lie and told Thomas in your conversation on the phone that you wanted to catch up with him and the sides.
Even if it's almost 2:00 am in the morning.
Still, Thomas is the type of friend that would always be there for the people he loved. Before he hung up, he mentioned that he would wake up the sides and grab some chips in his pantry while waiting for you.
The phone call left you feeling extremely guilty for lying to your trusted friend. However, in remembering why you have decided to call Thomas in the first place, you stiffened up and rushed over to Thomas' house.
"(Y/n)!" he exclaimed cheerfully as he opened the door to welcome you in. You flashed him with a convincingly genuine smile. "Thomas," you replied and faked a yawn to emphasize that your lack of energy is because you were tired. You didn't want to explain that you came over just to isolate yourself in his own house.
He seemed to scan your appearance and overall aura and let out a disapproving sigh. "(Y/n), you need to rest. you're lucky I care about you a lot to invite you to come over."
After closing the door, he turned to you and gave you a gentle hug. "We can catch up tomorrow, okay? I'll try to make sure the couch is comfortable for you before you rest," he said while already moving to get the blankets and pillows upstairs.
You needed to see Patton.
Your . . conceited feelings are a reason enough to desperately seek for Patton's advice. You needed to hear from him some alternative options that could solve the situation without giving into temptation to the solution your mind had offered.
By now, Thomas had noticed that you were disassociating. Now done with setting up your makeshift bed, he knelt down next to where you were sitting with your hands around your bent knees.
"(Y/n)?" He called out gently, careful not to startle you. You looked over with a slight smile, genuine gratitude for Thomas' efforts.
"Thank you, Thomas. I'll take over from here." Before he could even finish his retort, you put a hand up. You looked up at him with a reassuring eyes. "And yes, I will get sleep soon after. I promise."
Satisfied with your response, Thomas placed a paternal kiss on your forehead before getting up to go back into his room, finally leaving you alone in the living room.
Now was the perfect time to call out for Patton.
"Patton? Patton . ." you whispered crisply to anyone listening to your plea, hoping Patton could hear the desperation in your voice. You knew that the sides could stay awake as long as they want to, so you knew most --if not all--sides were awake during this time. It was inevitable that someone would appear, and you prayed that it would be Patton.
Surely enough, Patton appeared, onesie and all, accompanied with a worried look on his face. He examined your appearance and frowned. This only worried him even more, as you really appeared to be in distress.
He set his mug filled with hot cocoa on the coffee table and knelt down in front of you, his paternal instincts kicking in. "What's wrong, (y/n)?" he asked with a sweet lilt.
His presence immediately gave you comfort and you couldn't help yourself but embrace the side that you view as another father figure in your life. You were grateful that he came immediately in your time of need, just like he always promised.
Which is why you were even more nervous about admitting your thoughts to Patton.
Letting go of him, you let out a heavy sigh, looking up at Patton with guilt in your eyes. "Please don't judge me for what I'm about to say, but I desperately need your help," you said in a state of sudden distress.
The gentle side sat down next to you and brought you back into his embrace. He ran his fingers through your hair in an attempt to comfort and encourage you to admit everything you needed to get off your chest.
Finally, this was the time to expose your deepest and most truthful thoughts.
"Patton . . I don't want to be a bad person. However, I have been feeling disgusted and ashamed at what my emotions and my thoughts have been doing for the past few days," you started. Looking up to make sure Patton was listening, he looked down at you with a nod and a smile. You felt safe enough to continue.
"A mutual friend of mine and Thomas is staying in the area for two weeks. He reached out to me a few days ago and asked if he could hang out with us, since he sees me in Thomas' videos sometimes." Before you could continue, you hesitated slightly. This was the time to now admit the thoughts to Patton.
Another sigh, shakier this time. "And . . I couldn't tell him 'yes.' I didn't want to say yes, Pat. I . ." You did your best to choke down your tears. Now is not the time to be emotional . . yet.
"I wanted to lie to him, Pat. I didn't want him to come because he hurt me deeply years ago and I never forgave him for it. Thomas doesn't know he did either, but I know that he would love to meet up with him." Your fists tightened slightly. "I don't want him to ruin my happiness again, Pat."
Your eyes narrowed, staring off into the void, hoping its venom could travel and poison the 'friend' who hurt you years ago.
"I don't want him to ruin my friendship with Thomas."
Fed up with hiding, you tensed up in Patton's arms, shaking now with balled up anger and vengeance. These feelings all lead to your attitude of self-preservation.
And you were ashamed of it.
Patton didn't know what to say or do at this point, but he was almost terrified of your thoughts. He has never seen this side of you before, and this was the perfect reminder that human beings are complex and strange to figure out. It was unspoken, but Patton could hear your thoughts running through your head, as it was the main contributor to the dark aura that currently surrounded you.
Well, if you needed advice, then Patton decided it was best to intervene and open you up to alternative solutions to this complicated situation.
"Kiddo, I'm gonna need you to listen to me, okay?" he requested, causing you to direct your attention back on the man that was currently trying to comfort you. You nodded hesitantly, feeling ashamed of getting carried away with entertaining these dark thoughts. Patton clearly noticed the guilt in your eyes and took your hands into his own.
It was his turn to speak.
"Now, I think that I don't need to tell you that what you're thinking is very, very wrong," he chastised. "But . . I learned from Logan and from Thomas that not all thoughts reflect a person's character! All we gotta do is - well - find different ways we can figure this all out, right?"
You knew that he was trying to comfort you, and while you still weren't convinced that Patton couldn't fix your thoughts, you decided to hear him out.
An hour or two of talking with each other, you both had come to the conclusion of simply just telling Thomas about the friend and why you might be uncomfortable if Thomas wanted to invite him over to hang out. Patton further suggested to simply tell Thomas about what his friend did to you years ago and how you still feel sour about what he did. This conversation with Patton eased your dark thoughts drastically. Patton did what he promised he would do for you.
After saying your goodbyes, you decided to finally get ready for bed. However, before you could even move a muscle, you heard something rustling in the room. Your guard immediately went up and you narrowed your eyes in suspicion.
"Come out! I know you've been watching me!" You threatened. You did notice a few times that while you were talking to Patton, you couldn't help but feel like you were being watched. At first, you thought it might've been paranoia, but clearly that isn't the case anymore.
It took a moment of silence for the hidden figure to emerge from the shadows under the stairs. Your eyes widened once you figured out who it was:
Deceit.
Your body tensed up, heart racing in absolute fear of what he could do to you next. Why was he here? Virgil mentioned to you that the Dark Sides haven't appeared in front of Thomas in a long time, so why now? Why did Deceit come out for you?
As he sauntered over to where you sat, you quickly stood up and backed away from him. While he may be a side, Thomas mentioned that they manifested as physical beings a while ago. Essentially, Deceit could do anything to you and you could feel it physically.
"Stop, Deceit. Don't come further--"
"And why issss that, dear?" he purred, clearly not paying attention to what you were saying. Eventually, your back touched the cool wall, and you cursed under your breath. Now backed against the wall, Deceit moved his body close to yours.
All you could do was look at him in the eyes, the multi-colored pair burning with desire and deceptive seduction. Now was not the time to pay attention to those eyes, for you were absolutely terrified of what he might do to you.
"No need to be so cross with me, dear," he cooed once more at you. "After all . ." he trailed off as one gloved hand slithered down your arm to grab your hand delicately into his own. "I have patiently waited for you," he said as he slowly took your hand and kissed it. Even with an innocent act of kissing a hand, he managed to taint it with sin. Closed eyes opened once again and looked up at you while the serpent's mouth took his sweet time to place a gentle kiss on your hand, laced with the poison of lust and obsession.
You tried your best not to react, but anyone with a heart could feel the same way as you did at this moment.
You knew what he was doing to you, as he has done this before. While you were able to break from your temporary trance in the past, this time was different.
He was seducing you.
And you were letting him do so.
This was dangerous territory. Your mind kept forcing the idea of running away to the forefront of your thoughts, but it was no use. You were too far gone.
After waiting for you to say something and receiving no response from you in return, Deceit's eyes widened slightly. While he was careful to disguise his surprise, he was genuinely shocked that you were letting him continue winning your heart.
Even if it was through manipulative means.
Nonetheless, he took a deep breath, secretly happy to finally be able to be with you . . and you were all to himself.
His hand slithered its way back up your arm as he spoke. "Trust in me, (y/n). Let me help you ease your aching . ." he trailed off once more as one finger traced your jawline. " . . heart."
Seductive tones targeted towards you rendered helpless and flustered. You knew he wanted you terribly, and he was getting exactly what he wanted right now. He's too . . perfect to resist.
"Maybe . ." you managed to reply to him. You couldn't bear to look into his eyes, in fear that you could get lost in them forever. You would be idiotic to not admit that you slightly enjoyed the attention he was giving you right now. Perhaps hearing another person's opinion on your situation could help you make an informed decision on what option to choose.
Right. You keep telling yourself that.
His smirk widened when he heard your permission for him to continue speaking. Now that he has you under his spell, it was time for him to make you become his forever.
He wanted you.
He needed you.
"My darling (y/n)," he started. "I know that what you're thinking about is your desire to keep Thomas away from this friend. But that's not what it really is, isn't it?" He stopped to use one finger to lift your chin up to look at you in the eyes.
"You want revenge, don't you?"
You bit your lip and refused to answer what is the truth.
"You want Thomas to yourself because that's what your friend wants: exposure." He narrowed his eyes at you, daring you to lie to him. You couldn't possibly dream of lying to Deceit right now, so you nodded in agreement to what he said. Judging from the smirk he gave you, you could tell he was quite happy with his diagnosis.
"Then let me help you. Trusssssst me," he hissed, hint of his forked tongue sticking out of his mouth when he did so. What else was there to do except nod and let him speak.
Another smirk. "I think that lying to your friend is perfect," he suggested to you. To emphasize the point further, he leaned in to whisper hotly into your ear. "You have the right to do this. He's the one that hurt you." ' . . my precious darling,' he seemed to whisper to himself.
This was it. The fork in the road that separated two choices: the good and the bad. Deceit's suggestion made more sense. He was right. You didn't want this friend to come because only you wanted to be with Thomas. Secretly, Thomas was the way you could be famous, even though you did love him deeply as a friend.
You couldn't admit this to yourself until now.
It felt right to choose this, but something kept nagging at you. You didn't know what it was until a sudden epiphany struck you:
Patton.
With the mention of his name in your mind, your trance was broken and you shoved Deceit away. To say he was shocked was quite the understatement. Before you could say anything, Deceit tried to recover what connection was lost between the two of you.
He needed you. He wanted you. He spent all this time chasing after you because there could be no one else but you.
"(Y/n)! Though you can certainly push and punch your friend in person, I am not him! I-" He tried to laugh it off before eventually being cut off by you.
"Enough Deceit! Enough . ." you lashed out at him. How dare he play on your emotions. How dare he try to seduce you once again. You didn't even know why he wanted you, but you swore to yourself that this would be the last time that he will try to play with your emotions.
Ignoring him for the time being, you wrote Thomas a goodbye letter and packed up your things into your backpack.
Deceit tried to call out to you, trying his best to hide his desperation, but you were already heading out the door. You needed to get home and take a shower so you could wash away the sin and dirty seductive thoughts that would inevitably haunt your dreams for a long time.
He grimaced as the door shut behind you. Another failed attempt, but not all hope was lost. There was a chance to try to win your love once more.
And he promised to himself that this attempt would be the last and final time.
