Third POV

Virgil and Patton we're walking around town having a nice , as Patton put it, father son bonding day. They were going from shop to shop looking and occasionally buying something. Patton was overly excited about it and wasn't paying proper attention and ran out into the street. Just at that moment a car came barreling down the road. It showed no signs of stopping in time to not hit Patton.
Virgil yelled at the top of his lungs for Patton move jumping and pushing him out of the way of the car getting hit himself.
The car kept on driving leaving Virgil knocked out cold in the middle of the road. Patton quickly called 911 moving Virgil over to sidewalk.
About 30 minutes later Virgil and Patton we're at the hospital Virgil still out cold. Patton having to wait outside the hospital room for them to finish working on him.
1 hour later
They had just allowed for Patton to go into the room with Virgil despite him still being out cold.
Patton pulled out his phone deciding to call the others.
  On Call
PHey Logan it's Patton
LSalutations Patton
PHey um can you go get Roman for me please? I need to talk to the both of you
LUh okay Patton I will go get him
RHi Patton Logan informed me that you need to speak to the both of us
PUh yeah I have some really bad news
RWhat is wrong Patton
PWell as you know me and Virgil we're out doing stuff
LAffirmative
PWell I was walking across the road and a car came out of nowhere
RDid it hit you our dear Patton
PNo but um Virgil pushed me out of the way of the car and got hit himself he is still out cold and it's been about an hour and a half
ROh dear
LWell Patton that is quite the issue well do you know who hit him and what hospital are you at.
PNo because they just drove off and we are at downtown sidebay hospital.
LOk we will be there in ten minutes see you soon.
10 minutes later
Patton was sitting next to Virgil's bed watching him with sad eyes as he lay there unconscious. Logan and Roman were worried about not only Virgil but Patton as well because the amount of guilt and trauma the whole experience must be causing him is worrying to them. Patton heard the slight sound of a doorknob turning and for the slightest second had worried but then when he heard the logical and flamboyant males voices his worry went away. Patton jumped up and gave the two a hug. They all went and sat next to Virgil each with their thoughts filling their minds. Patton was thinking about how if he had been more carful this would never have happened. Roman was thinking about how he had failed to protect Virgil. Logan was thinking about how he shouldn't have even let them go out today we they had already had a lot to do anyways. They were all very worried and thought that in some way it was their fault that this had happened.

It had been hours since the accident and still Virgil had yet to wake up. It was 1 in the morning and everyone had passed out and were now sleeping in odd ways. Patton was asleep on the floor holding Virgil hand. Logan was sitting in an upright position. While Roman was sleeping upside down in a chair.
Virgil's POV
Suddenly Virgil awoke sitting upright in fear. It took him a moment to realise where he was and what was happening.He looked at his phone and realized that is was 1 am. "Why it's nice to make your acquaintance princess. " "Leave me alone deciet. " "You know they truly love you and aren't in anyway upset with you. " " Shut up deciet just leave" "Whatever you say princess" "I'm not a princess anymore so leave me and my family alone. " With that deciet sank out leaving Virgil alone to sit in the silence of the room. He felt something stir at his bedside and for a moment fear took over before he realised it was only Patton. "Shhh, Pat go back to sleep your okay. " "Ok Virgil " Patton said groggily before jumping up and yelling. "Virgil, you're awake! " Causing Logan to wake and jump out of his chair and for Roman to fall and hit his head on the floor. "What's wrong Patton! " Both of them yelled worried something bad had happened. "Look guys Virgil woke up. " Patton told them with tears threatening to spill over his eyelids.
They both held looks of sadness yet happy that he was awake.  He smiled sadly at them worried for what might have happened while he was out cold. "You ok Roman you uh hit your head on the ground over there. " Virgil said only have jokingly. "How can you be worried about me you got hit by a car! " Roman said loudly to prove that he was upset that Virgil had worried about him when clearly Virgil should be worrying about himself. "Sorry I must not have noticed the fact that I can't feel my LOWER HALF Roman honestly I know I got hit by a car but I was just worrying about you ok I'm sorry that I even asked I would leave if I could walk or like get up but you know what Roman,  dad I'm sorry,  F@©£ YOU I have a right to worry about more important things ok. "Virgil said with a tone that even he can't explain. Patton was so worried by what Virgil had said that he didn't even care if Virgil had said a bad word. Roman stared at him blankly scared of what he had said. Logan was terrified about what happened to Virgil to not care about what other things he said. " What -important -feel -you -wait -walk -Half? " They said so much at once that Virgil couldn't make out a thing they were saying and was getting really anxious. "OK STOP TALKING ONE AT A TIME PLEASE please. "
"Ok Dad you first what did you want to say? " "Virgil why did you push me out the way? You could have just stayed still or yelled so I would move or something other than what you did. " "Dad listen the reason I pushed you out of the way was because even if I had yelled you would have still been hit because you would have looked back at me instead of moving out of the way I know this from personal experience that you could have died and I'm not as important as you dad.  Face it I'm not but I still carry on so I saved you at the risk of losing my own life. I wasn't stupidly jumping in the way,  I wasn't being a hero, I knew the risks of doing what I did because the last it happened I didn't save them and they got hit by the car. " Everyone let out adauble gasps at what Virgil said. "Now before you question me I can explain my best friend when I was younger was named serenity or sery now sery wasn't Thomas's serenity it was one of Thomas's best friends when he was younger side. She was that little girl that Thomas oh so dearly cared about. Now when me and sery we're maybe 12 we were walking across the street that very same street that I got hit on just a few hours ago. A car came barreling down the street and sery was in the middle I yelled watch out to her and she turned to me and got hit I swore I would never ever let that happen again and when I saw it unfold in front of my eyes I knew I couldn't let the same fate befall Patton. " Virgil now had a few tears leaking from his eyes but he new better than to cry so he wipped them away and looked at the others. " Okay now that that is out of the way Logan what did you want to say? " Logan coughed akwardly before asking Virgil his question about what he had said. "Um I wanted to know what you meant when you said that you couldn't feel your lower half. " "Ok so um my legs are most likely paralyzed and the way I know this is A because I just know a lot about bad things that can happen when you get hit by a car and B back when I was a kid I had paralyzed my right wrist and three of my fingers now seeing as we are sides it eventually healed but it took almost a year and a half so yeah but don't worry I'm fine now well other than the predicament we are in right now.
"So uh Roman what did you want to say" " Well uh you said that you wanted to worry about more important things what did you mean by that? " " Uh um we will save that conversation for another time. "

It's been ten years since the accident and today is the day I am finally strong enough to walk again.  Thing is the others don't know I would ever be able to walk again and on that they think I'm asleep so bonus surprise I guess. I stand up and get out of bed warily. At first I fell back onto my bed but after a few more tries I finally was able to stand upright so after another thirty minutes of practice of could finally walk around like normal so I headed downstairs. I carefully walked down the stairs only slipping a few times. 
Once I get downstairs I quietly make my way to the living room. I see the others sitting around watching TV talking and I take my chance.
I quietly crept over to the back of the couch and waited for my moment. Once all of their attention was back to the RV a put my arms around Patton and said.
"Guess who's back and up and running. "
