Is now an official story on my account!
Deceit's POV
I sighed in relief as I placed down the last box and gave a small smile as I looked around, only to remember that I still had to unpack and my face dropped again.
I walked outside to close the trunk to find my son Virgil trying to reach for his stuffed toy spider laying at the back of the trunk. Jumping for it and trying to climb but was too short.
He had his favorite purple and black sweater with his small Spiderman backpack on and his blanket that matched his sweater. Virge is 3 years old, he has dark brown hair that covered his left eye (as in your left and his right), his eye is blue with yellow specks, his skin is pale and he has clear bags under his eyes despite his age. I found Virgil when he was around a year old, I was walking home after running to the store quickly for some food, I saw the little Virge just sitting on a park bench with no one around, it was around 10pm too, getting pretty dark. I asked him why he was there but he didn't seem to know how to talk or even really how to walk. I took him to the police station, it turned out that his mother was gone most of the time and his father was a druggie and alchohalic. His mother left him there, knowing that she couldn't take care of him and knowing the house wasn't the best for him either and hoped that someone would pick him up. They were going to send him to a home but he wouldn't let go of me and screamed when someone tried to take him away, so I went through the process of adoption, growing fond of the little guy. I've taken care of him ever since, but had to move to a completely different place to get a newer and better job to support us.
(Oof that was long, I'm sorry, but StOrY!)
"Oh, Virge, let me help you with that!" I said, grabbing the spider for him.
"Thank daddy!" Virge smiled, taking the spider and walking inside. He was definitely a slow learner, he didn't speak much and when he didn't he couldn't talk very well but its okay, I'm patient enough for him.
I closed the trunk, locking the car after double checking that I had got everything and headed inside. Virgil was sitting in one of the chairs with his backpack on the ground and cuddling with his blanket and spider.
"Hey Virge, daddy's going to have a lot of unpacking to do, why don't you go upstairs and pick which room you want? Daddy's room is the one connected to the bathroom, there are two other rooms that you can have though, k?" I said to him, crouching down to his level.
Virge nodded and crawled upstairs, the steps too big for him to be able to walk up. I made a small smile and got back to unpacking, first bringing the boxes to the places they needed to be. Boxes labeled kitchen went in the kitchen, living room went in living room, ect.
I grabbed a box labeled Virgil and headed upstairs, "Hey, Virge, where are you?" I called. I saw Virgils head poke out of from one of the rooms, I smiled and headed over there with the box.
"Hey, Virge, you wanna get to unpacking your room?" I asked.
He nodded slowly and I placed the box down, "I'll go get the rest for you." I said and headed back downstairs.
After about 2 hours of unpacking, loading boxes around and putting stuff in their places, and without furniture or shelves at the moment, I was exhausted. I went upstairs to check on Virgil and found him asleep, he had put another blanket on the ground and put his favorite blanket on him and he cuddled his spider. I smiled, turning off the light and closing the door. He needed his sleep.
I looked at the time and found that it was only 12pm.
Well, those boxes aren't going to unpack themselves...
I thought, and got right back to it.
A few hours later, I had gotten almost everything in their right places, except for the things that needed to go on shelves, tomorrow we were getting the furniture from the storage unit so we would have our beds, TV, couch, table and shelves.
"Daddy, I hungy.." a small voice peeped up from behind me. I turned around to see a still pretty tired Virgil.
"Of course, dinner!" I said, then realised we didn't bring any food, I had planned to go shopping but it would be too late for that now. As I looked around wondering what I should do, a knock sounded at the door.
I walked over to open it while Virgil hid behind my legs.
"Hello?" I said, surprised at what I saw.
There were four people, two men and two little boys around Virgils age. One of them wore a light blue collar shirt with a light grey sweater tied loosely around his neck, he had a bit lighter brown hair and glasses with a beaming smile on his face. The other wore a black collar shirt, his hair was a bit darker then the others and her wore simalar glasses with a more neutral expression on his face, when I opened the door he put on a small smile and nodded in my direction. The two children looked almost identical except one wore darker colours and had a grey streak in his hair and the other wore much lighter clothes and had the same beaming smile at the first one while the other looked like he didnt want to be here.
"Hi! We're your neighbors from across the street and we wanted to invite you over for dinner if you would like!" The first one said smiling.
"You know what actually, dinner would be lovely! My son Virgil here is getting pretty hungry, aren't ya bud?" I said to Virgil who was still hiding behind my legs, he peaked his head out a bit, looking up at the people in front of him, then hid behind me again.
"Awwww, how old is he?!" The first one asked.
"He's three, he'll be four in about six months." I replied.
"Well thas wonderful, my twins here turned four two months ago! Their names are Remus," he said, pointing to the darker one, "and Roman," he pointed to the lighter one, "oh, and my name is Patton, this is Logan!" He introduced.
"I'm Deceit and this is Virgil!" I introduced myself, then Virgil for the second time.
Virgil and I got our shoes on and I picked him up, walking over to their house that was directly across from ours. Walking in the house looked nice, about the same layout as ours except the living room and dining room were switched and the kitchen was a bit bigger.
"Make yourself at home! I just have to finish up a bit here and then dinner will be served!" Patton said and continued where he seemed to leave off cooking.
"Hey, Virgil, right? You wanna come play in our room?" Roman asked Virgil.
I had put down Virgil once we got in the house and he had been hiding behind my leg holding onto it as tightly as he could since. Poor kid, he got so scared and anxious quickly.
"Go on Virgil, go play, I'll be right here if you need me, okay?" I told him reassuringly. He hesitated, but nodded and followed Roman up the stairs.
I sat on the couch and made small conversation with Logan, it mostly ended up with talking about work, he was pretty smart and work driven but I could tell he cared deeply for his family, he just didn't show it as much. Most people would have been angry or upset if their partner was like that, thinking that they don't love or care for them, but I think Patton knows that Logan loves him, and that's a beautiful thing. They bounce off of each other perfectly. Unfortunately I was never very good at relationships and recently I haven't had the time to worry about one.
When dinner was ready we were all called down for it, I sat beside Virgil and Patton, who sat beside Logan, who sat Beside Remus who sat beside Roman, filling every seat at the table. Adults on one side, kids on the other. We ate our food, talking to one another, getting to know each other better. Even Virgil giggled a few times at a few dad jokes that Patton made, making me surprised but happy.
In the end we all said our goodbyes and said that we should do this again soon, I got their numbers and we went home. When we got their, I pulled out a foamy, placing it down and putting a sheet over it so that we could sleep on it. When I turned around, Virgil was almost falling asleep standing up. I layed him down on the foamy, cuddling him, eventually falling asleep too.
Today has been a long day.
----------
Ooooh, that was a long one! I think I might turn this into an actual story! Would you guys read it (its okay to say no too!)? I'll probably make it anyway no matter what you say just because I enjoyed making it a lot (can you tell?)! Yeah, but basically it would probably be a lot more in Virgils POV and I know Deceit isn't actually a name I just didn't want to make one up so it's a name now shhh. But the story was kinda based around the idea that Deceit is a single father trying to raise Virgil and work and stuff but he works a lot so Virgil stays with Patton, Roman and Remus while Deceit is at work and Remus is Remus so you can guess how nice that is and Roman is just like "leave Virgil alone bro" (so I guess kinda Pinxiety but not because they're literally toddlers). Yeah, anyway, I just thought it was cute and liked it so I thought I'd post what would be the first chapter on here. This is way too long so shout out if you actually read all of this XD
