Romans POV

I walked down the street, heading to my favorite little coffee shop. I liked to go there when I wanted to write. The smell of coffee in the air and people talking among themselves somehow made me more focused then a quiet calm environment. Acting and storytelling has always been my passion. Unfortunately acting doesn't help pay rent or put food on the table unless I somehow get a big gig, but I enjoy writing as well. It allows me to go to a different world and express my creativity.

I walked into the coffee shop, the door gave its signature ding when I walked in. A few people gave a quick glance in my direction at the sound but that's all. I quickly hopped in line, ready for my order. Once it was my turn I ordered my iced coffee and sat down at the table I usually sat at. I took out my laptop and opened up one of the many documents I had of different stories I had started but never finished. I looked at all of them and sighed.

One day...

That was a lie.

I chose the most recent one that I had the most inspiration for at the moment, reading the last paragraph of where I left off. I wrote down one sentence and was called for my drink. I got up to grab it quickly, thanking Judy, the lady who usually made it for me. Then I sat back down to continue writing.

I got three paragraphs down and I already had writers block.

God, why is writing so hard?!

I wondered to myself, rubbing my temples and taking another sip of my iced coffee. Suddenly my attention was brought by the usual sound of the bell. I looked to the door to see the hottest man I had ever seen in my life. He was short, probably around 5 feet, his hair covered his left eye, it was dark brown with hints of purple in it. His skin was very fair and under the eye that I could see there was either a very dark bag or eye shadow and I think his eye was brown, but I couldn't quite tell from here. He had a black and purple patched sweater with his hood on and black ripped skinny jeans.

He looked around the shop nervously before standing in the short line up. He had headphones on that looked pretty expensive. He must have felt my eyes looking at him because he slowly looked at my, our eyes locked for a split second before I averted my gaze down at my laptop once again.

I tried to focus but nothing came out. I heard the bell ring signalling that someone had either walked in or out but I didn't bother to check. Instead I packed my things again, realising that I wasn't going to get anything else done at this rate. I got up and looked around, I frowned a bit when I didn't see the pretty purple boy anywhere, yeah that's his name now.

Wait, why would I be sad about that? I don't even know him!

I shook my head and headed out with my stuff, checking the time on the way.

4:56?! Patton's gonna kill me if I'm not back in time for dinner!

With that information I speed walked as fast I could without bumping into anyone. The streets were pretty busy on a late Friday. Finally I saw a clearing and headed toward it, finally breaking through the crowd of people and able to catch my breath for a second. That second passed quickly though as I soon realised that I still had a ways to go. I continued on this time going even faster, checking the time every now and again.

Bump, crash!

I was suddenly on the ground with a bolt of surprise. Some of my papers, from my laptop bag, scattered on the ground.

"Shit, oh my God, I am so s-sorry!" The man that bumped into me sputtered out. "Are you okay?!" He asked quickly after.

I looked up at him and realised that it was pretty purple boy and I was immediately flustered.

Roman it's fine just say I'm good or I'm okay or something!

"I-IM GAY!" I yelled louder then I meant to, mixing I'm good and I'm okay together by accident.

Some people looked at us weirdly and some looked at us with disgust but ignored us for the most part.

"U-um okay... I- uh- l-let me help you with that." He offered, his face red from my previous statement, picking up my papers quickly before they blew away.

I helped him, we both went for the last paper and our hands brushed each other. Our faces both went red before I ended up grabbing it and taking the papers from his hands. I put them back in my laptop bag, my face still red, mostly from embarrassment.

"I am so sorry for running- er- bumping into you, I'm terribly in a rush!" I apologized quickly.

"N-no, I'm sorry I should ha-have been paying attention." He said as I helped him up on his feet, pulling a little too hard making him stumble into me.

Our faces both went red again and he quickly got back to his feet, rubbing the back of his head, probably a nervous habit.

"Hey I couldn't help but notice you in the coffee shop earlier." I said hesitantly.

Wait, was that creepy?! Shit! I shouldn't have said anything!

"Uh, yeah, I saw you too, heh." He laughed nervously.

Definitely creepy.

"Um, what's your name?" I asked, taking a chance.

He smirked, "wouldn't you like to know, pretty boy." He said with a wink, then walked past me without another word.

I turned around but he was already lost in the crowd of people. I ignored my gut instinct the told me to go after him, looking at the time and continued jogging back home.

I opened the door quietly and closed it with a tiny click.

"Roman?! Is that you?!" Patton called.

I winced at the sudden loud noise and I knew I was dead.

"..Yeah..!" I answered, hesitantly.

"Where have you been?! Logan and I have been worried sick!" Patton yelled, worry clear in his voice.

I walked into the living room where Patton was standing and Logan was sitting in his chair, reading, as usual.

"Falsehood. I was not worried at all. In fact, Roman is a grown man and if he so chooses to stay out past "curfew" then I believe that is his choice." Logan stated, monotone.

"I'm just worried about you kiddo.. I don't want anything bad to happen to you!" Patton explained.

"I know, Pat, but I'm fine, nothing happened and it's not even that late. I just lost track of time and then I ran into this boy-" I started.

"Boy?! OMG ROMAN TELL ME EVERYTHING!" Pat screamed, his demeanor changing completely.

-Time Skip-

I had told Patton what had happened and he looked like he was fangirling the entire time, at the end telling me that he "shipped it"

Now I lay on my bed wishing I had gone after him or at least gotten his number. Hell, I don't even know his name!

Sighing, I realised that there was no point in dwelling about it now. Might as well just get changed and call it a night.

I stood up, checking my pockets. I always accidentally left stuff in them and Patton would get mad at me because he'd find change and random stuff in the washing machine and dryer so I've learned to check my pockets before changing. I found a bit if spare change and a piece of paper?

I pulled out a small piece of folded up paper and unfolded it. I smiled, it had a number on it and was signed by 'Virgil (the guy in the coffee shop)'

Well, I guess I did get his number in the end.

UwU I finally made a normal one shot and not a plot driven au? Am I feeling alright? Considering, yeah, I guess! Don't got much to say but here ya go!
