Also wasn't there an episode where she cut the cameras deadass in the artic so is the artic colder than space? how cold is space? how long is the time limit here? im confused

"Uh, Rob? You doing okay?" Beast Boy asked. The team were walking through a freezing tundra to get back to the ship and safe to say their leader wasn't very happy about trudging through snow. He was shivering badly, gritting his teeth whenever a gust of wind hit him. It didn't help that there was no sun though he doubted it would do much to help but maybe he could've placebo himself to think it did. His clothes were damp too and his heating packs must've run out when they were running away from the exploding building. They really should stop blowing things up.

"I'm fine," he lied through chattering teeth. "Why did we put the ship this far away?"

"You wanted to be covert. This is the shortest distance we could go whilst upholding that. I even told you it was a bad idea," Cyborg reminded him. He mumbled a curse and continued to drag his feet forward. Covert shmovert, the ship was way too far away. "Just admit you're cold, dude."

"I'm not cold! You guys should be the ones who are cold I mean Rae you're in a leotard."

"You're the only one who's human. These temperatures won't get to us before we reach the ship," the eldest of the group pointed out. He hummed bitterly and decided to turn his focus to just keeping up with his teammates. The last thing he needed was to be left in this awful place. Gotham was cold like this a few nights out of the year but he usually wasn't out in it this long. Nor was he going without heating packs. Even with those, he always found himself hiding in Batman's cape. Granted, he'd been a kid then and was wearing shorts. He couldn't imagine doing that now. Out of the corner of his eye, he spotted Starfire shooting him worried looks so he gave her a weak smile to show his alright. If his body weren't trembling like a leaf in a hurricane, it would be more effective. She subtly floated over to him though her version of subtle was very obvious for his liking. He went to say he'd be fine but she put her hand on his face to make him pause walking. He paused alright but not because of her action. It was because of how warm she was. How could she be so warm when they were in somewhere so freezing cold? Robin couldn't help but lean into her touch to steal the heat. She raised a curious eyebrow and put another hand on his face. He held onto her wrists to keep the warm hands there with a content smile. "What're you two doing?" Raven asked.

"Testing a theory," Starfire stated.

"Did you hypnotize him? I've not seen him this relaxed since he was tranquillized," Cyborg inquired. Starfire laughed off his comment and moved to pick up her boyfriend. He immediately wrapped himself around her and snuggled closer. She giggled as his breath tickled her neck and adjusted her grip to make sure he wouldn't slip down but that wouldn't be much of a problem since he was clinging onto her so tightly. She was like his little hot water bottle. A really strong hot water bottle. Strong and cute. Safe to say, he was loving this new position even if it would come to bite him in the ass later.

"I solved our problem friends! We can continue our walk," she announced proudly.

"Who knew the cold would turn him so clingy?" Beast Boy muttered.

"Is this a human thing?" Starfire asked.

"I think it's just a him thing," Raven answered.

They got home safely but Robin still held onto his girlfriend. Starfire wasn't complaining though. Considering Robin was always a bit awkward when going about hugging and the like, it was a nice change of pace to have him so content with holding onto her. She knew he was happy where he was and she wasn't going to make any moves in changing that. Their teammates decided to leave them and leave the teasing till tomorrow. After all, Robin looked like he could do with warming up and knowing him the moment someone said something he'd scurry off only for them to find out he had some sort of low-grade hypothermia. Plus Starfire was glaring at anyone who even looked like they were trying to separate the pair. They all retired early for the night since it'd been a tiring mission but that left Starfire with a problem. She and her boyfriend didn't share a room. Aside from the rare nights they shared a bed, they remained in their opposite facing rooms so they didn't get sick of each other. She glanced between the doors and decided it would be better to bring Robin into her room. It felt like an invasion of privacy to barge in there without any foreplanning. Silkie glanced up at the pair from his spot on the bed before settling back down. She patted his head and sat down on the bed. She leaned back a little to see Robin's face only to find the white lenses of his mask were closed. He'd fallen asleep on her. Sound asleep by the quiet snores. Knowing him though, he wouldn't be asleep for long. Something always compelled him to get up at all hours. She was never fully awake to know why. "I wish this could last longer. If he's only like this when he's cold then I will have to wait till winter for the same treatment," she complained. That's when it hit her. "The tower is heated. Perhaps if it broke then this could happen more often?" The larva scrunched up his face at the plan. "But if I only do it once or twice it would not be bad. He needs the contact too. This is uhm what does he call it? Needed bad?" Silkie shook his head. "Well, I am going to do it whether you like it or not. How bad can a little cold be?" Silkie stared at her and sounded like he sighed. She rolled her eyes and turned her attention back to her boyfriend. She really didn't want to wake him up but if her plan worked then they could have moments like this more often. She gently shook his shoulder, effectively shocking the shorter awake. He jumped upon the abrupt wake-up call but relaxed when he set eyes on her face. "Sorry!"

"No no, it's fine. Did I fall asleep on the ship?" he asked, his voice thick with sleep still. She nodded.

"Yes I carried you here," she explained. He smiled softly and pressed his lips against hers. He was still cold. He pulled away and got up stiffly, cracking his back once he was on his feet.

"Thank you, Star. I better get changed. Got some work on case reports to get done."

"Can it not wait? I would have liked for you to stay here...with me." Robin stared at her and gulped, eyeing her and then the exit.

"I mean uh sure yeah yes! Only fair I pay you back for uhm me being all uh mushy back there. Probably had to carry me a fair way too," he responded. She grinned at him stumbling over his words, enjoying seeing him so flustered. It was funny how he could speak so eloquently in dangerous situations yet failed to do so when she asked certain things. "So I'm gonna get a shower then come here. If that's okay?"

"More than okay," she assured him. He nodded to himself before leaving the room. Starfire thought about her plan for a moment. It had been so intoxicating to have him so affectionate and she just knew he felt the same way. She was simply giving him a little shove in the right direction by messing with the heating. Besides, everyone else would be alright and Cyborg could fix it back up. It would work out just fine.

Robin woke up with Starfire's arms wrapped around him loosely and Silkie sharing half his pillow though he didn't remember ever offering the spot. He tutted at the animal, petting him a few times before he went to get up. As the sheets slipped off him, he shivered and retreated back beneath the covers. It was freezing! He glanced over at the alarm clock. 8 am? He should've been up at 6 am. He was always up at 6 am. He'd heard that the cold could make you drowsy but oversleeping by two hours? That had to be a new one. He was already behind on his day yet he found himself wanting to get back to cuddling up to his girlfriend. He knew what he needed to get done before midday. Reports, training, planning, reviewing...staying in bed until it didn't feel like the artic. The longer he stayed in bed, the less sleep he'd get tonight. He could deal with an all-nighter but the team were so picky about letting him work that late. Bad for his health or something. So was running around in green tights but their lips were sealed when that was a topic. "Robin?" Starfire mumbled, opening an eye.

"Sorry, did I wake you?" he responded worriedly. She shook her head slowly but looked confused. He could hazard a guess as to why.  "Overslept." She hummed and settled back down. "I should probably get out of bed."

"You should stay," she assured him. He bit his lip, thinking about his options before eventually deciding on getting up. He had to. He was a leader of a team, he couldn't spend his days lazying around with his girlfriend even if he wanted to. Robin frowned and pressed a kiss against her cheek before braving the freezing room. Starfire sat up, mirroring his frown.

"Don't be like that Star. I've got to get my work done at some point today," he reminded her as he rubbed his arms in a failed attempt to warm himself up. "If I don't get it done now then I'll have to do it later."

"I know. I could help?" she offered.

"You don't need to. Besides, you'll only be bored." She gave him a determined look, making him smile to himself. He did love her fighting spirit. She was almost as stubborn as him. Almost. "I suppose if you don't mind-"

"Great! I can keep you warm there too," she suggested. He raised an eyebrow at her.

"How'd you know I was cold?" he asked.

"You were rubbing your arms. You do that when you are cold, yes?" she replied after a short pause. He shrugged to himself and nodded.

"Yeah sorry of course," he responded.

The cold continued throughout the Tower and remained for days. Robin kept turning up the thermostat but nothing was better. He shrugged it off as the chill just sticking with him from their mission. Plus Starfire was always there to warm him up so it wasn't that bad. In fact, it was almost unusual how often she was there to warm him up. He would've thought she'd get sick of following him around all the time. He didn't even do anything interesting. He was just writing reports and researching cases they could investigate. It was a slow news week too so there wasn't anything that would pique her interest. She seemed really happy to let him hang off her like a koala to a tree. It was almost suspicious how happy she was. Whenever he mentioned the cold she would say "Huh weird," and then change the subject which only made her more suspicious. It was even more suspicious when he was looking through the camera footage for the Tower and noticed the boiler had been punched. "Star," he began.

"Yes?"

"Have you been near the boiler at all?" he asked. She tensed and glanced away, shaking her head. "You haven't been there?"

"I have never seen it," she lied.

"So you have no idea why it's broken?" he asked.

"Yes?"

"You answered with a question." He moved away so they were no longer touching and watched her chew her bottom lip anxiously. He knew she was behind it but that wasn't important. The important issue here was why. What compelled her to break the boiler and then not tell anyone for days? They could've fixed it by now and it wasn't like she'd never broken anything before. She wouldn't even be the first to mess up the boiler though - Beast Boy had beat her to it -granted she would've been the most obvious. "Star, I know this wasn't an accident. You don't accidentally punch a boiler." She shrunk back and set her eyes firmly on the ground. "I need to know."

"But it will make you angry," she responded. "You were so happy this way."

"This way?"

"I know you must keep up appearances but you keep it up even in private. When I saw how the cold affected you, I could not go back to how things were. I thought if you were cold all the time then you would be more affectionate." She fiddled with her skirt as she spoke and couldn't look her boyfriend in the eye. It didn't help her nerves that he was silent during this time. She knew he hadn't left the room so he had to be standing there staring at her.

The silence persisted and was unbearable but Starfire just couldn't look up to see what type of reaction Robin was having to her admission. She didn't think about him finding out which was stupid because of course he would find out he was Robin! He was a detective! He was smart and wonderful and oh what had she done? "Star, I'm not happy about this but..."

"But?" she asked, letting herself hope.

"But that's kinda cute." She snapped her head up to look at him with a confused expression. Out of all the English she knew, she didn't think cute would be a word he'd use to describe this situation. He ran his hand through his hair, clearly not overjoyed to find out she'd done what she had, but he wasn't as furious as she had expected. He sighed and folded his arms. "Dick move nonetheless. You could've actually told me the issue rather than break a perfectly good boiler. It's nice you care about me so much but I'd like to have a say in things."

"I know. I regret going about it this way," she replied.

"As you should. You're gonna have to make up for this. I've gotten half the work I'm supposed to get done and I've hardly worked out."

"You trained for three hours," Starfire pointed out.

"That's half my regular time." She tutted at him but didn't push any further. She really wasn't in the place to say anything like that. "You can start by showing Cy the damage you did. I need that boiler fixed by the end of the week or my whole month is off." She nodded and got up, floating toward the door before he caught her by the wrist. "I mean this seriously Starfire, don't do this again. Brings up bad memories." They knew exactly what memories those were. Batman trying to take a title that away when he never owned the title in the first place. He thought he was doing what was best. Someone deciding what was best for him without actually consulting him was a concept that left a sour taste in his mouth.

"You have my word this won't happen again. May I?" she asked. He smiled with a nod, receiving a small kiss on his forehead from the alien.

"Have fun explaining this to Cy," he mumbled.

"I will not have fun why would I?" she deadpanned.

"Star I meant- you know what forget it."
