"I was hoping I'd never have to come back here... Well. You know what they say about hope." The man glanced around at his surroundings, the all too familiar building looming in his line of vision. Just the sight of it sent involuntary shivers down his spine, and he fought back a heavy cough. Now was not a good time for one of those. He shook his head. "Damnit, Ali... Why'd you have to go and disappear like that. Makin' me come out here searching for you. I knew you were gonna be more trouble than you're worth..." Though he muttered these words to himself, Tim couldn't help but admit that he'd grown to enjoy the girl's company. He couldn't deny that he cared about her- at least a little. Why else would he be out here, at the one place he he hated the most, looking for her?

Tim sighed audibly, his brown eyes sporting noticeable bags beneath them from the lack of sleep he'd been dealing with. He continued walking at his steady pace, approaching the old, decrepit hospital building before him. New graffiti had been added since the last time he'd been here- no. He shook his head vigorously to push away the thought. He would not allow himself to remember what had happened here the last time he'd come with Jay. It would only distract him.

He took a deep breath, attempting to calm himself as he reached the front door. He quickly checked the camera he had in his hand, ensuring that the device was still recording. Once he'd done that, he turned his gaze back to the entry way before him. Running a hand through his dark hair, he took another, slightly shallower breath, then stepped through. He took cautious steps, checking around each corner as he held the camera aloft. The whole reason he'd come here, of all places, was because of the hooded man. Ali was obviously looking for him, on top of looking for Alex. And the first time he'd seen the hooded man was here. It was plausible that he'd be here again- which made it possible that Ali was here, as well.

A sudden noise from his right caused Tim to spin around, camera aimed towards the sound. Seeing it was only a small bird, Tim sighed in a combination of relief and embarrassment about being so paranoid. It was an abandoned building, in the middle of the day. Of course there were going to be small animals around. He turned back the way he'd been moving, his pace still slow and cautious.

After a few minutes of uneventfulness, Tim had managed to relax a bit, now strolling casually through the halls- though still on his guard. He peeked into the rooms as he passed, which wasn't hard, seeing that the walls were almost completely missing from the first and second floors. "Ali?" he called softly, looking around for any sign of the girl. "Ali, are you here?" He sighed quietly, pulling at a few locks of hair on the back of his head. "Where is she...?" He made his way over to a window, stepping over its of plaster and rebar- he shuddered slightly at the memory- as he continued recording. He looked out the window, scanning the ground below from his second story perch. His heart seemed to skip a beat as he spotted a figure traipsing through the overgrown foliage near the base of the building- A figure wearing a hooded jacket.

Tim watched the figure for a moment, observing them to see if he could gather any insight into what they were up to. He quickly ducked back into the window, however, when the figure happened to glance up directly at him- perhaps feeling that they were being watched. Tim's breathing was beginning to grow heavy at this point, and he shook slightly as he held back a few coughs. After a moment, he slowly turned and peeked out the window again.

The figure was gone.

Taking a deep breath to calm himself, the man turned away from the window, his gaze traveling the room for a moment before he continued on. He dared not call for Ali again, knowing that the hooded man was around now. He couldn't risk drawing any more attention to himself. Hopefully, Ali wouldn't meet up with the hooded man before Tim could find her himself.

He crept through the debris, wincing every now and then as he heard a particularly loud crunch beneath his boots. He made his way to the stairwell, looking down over the railing for a moment to check the stairs for any unwanted visitors. Unfortunately, he found one. The hooded man stood at the bottom of the stairwell, on the first floor. He faced away from the stairs, looking into what used to be the lobby of the hospital. Quickly, Tim pulled his head back, holding his breath for a moment before releasing it and starting up the other set of stairs as quietly as he could. He continuously glanced over his shoulder, checking to see if the hooded man was following him. He reached the third floor, stepping lightly to avoid any unnecessary noise that would attract unwanted attention.

As he moved along, he glanced over his shoulder again, ensuring that he was not being followed- then nearly jumped out of his skin as a loud voice rang out from outside. "Hello? Yo, I know someone's in there! I saw you moving!" It wasn't a voice Tim recognized, and that bothered him. Some random stranger was in this area, and apparently had no idea how dangerous of a situation she'd just put herself into. At least, it sounded like a 'she.'

"Fine, don't answer me, you loser." the girl called. "I'll just have to come find you myself, then."

"Oh no." Tim straightened up quickly, running over to a window just in time to see the girl disappear through a first floor window. This was not a good day for Tim. As much as he just wanted to find Ali and get out of there, he also didn't want the blood of yet another person on his hands. With a sigh, he turned back towards the stairwell. "Some people...."

He ran towards the stairs, ignoring the fact that the hooded man could probably hear him. He'd rather the man went after him than the random girl- at least he knew how to handle the man; kind of. He hopped down the stairs as quickly as he could, making it to the first floor to find that the hooded man was nowhere to be seen. The dark haired man looked around, wondering where he could've gone, when he heard a sudden loud scream from the other side of the building- the side the girl had come in. Immediately, Tim took off towards the scream, nearly tripping over the rubble a time or two in his haste. When he reached the room the scream had come from, he was surprised to see the girl running out, brandishing a heavy looking pipe. The hooded man was just disappearing around the corner of the hallway. "Yeeaaah you better run, ya creep!" the girl shouted after him, flourishing the pipe with her left hand. She turned, almost bumping into Tim in the process. She jumped, raising her pipe to hit the man before he held his hands up in front of him, crouching a bit to avoid her blow. She didn't lower her weapon, giving him a look. "You gonna be a creeper, too, son?" she demanded.

"N-no, I'm not." Tim quickly replied, keeping his hands in front of him in case she decided to hit him anyway.

The girl slowly lowered the pipe. "Alright. You can live. But if you try any funny business, I'll club you with this so hard you won't even know what day it is. Got it?" Tim nodded, not lowering his hands quite yet. The girl rolled her deep blue eyes. "I'm not gonna hit ya, ya bubble blowing baby." she scoffed, putting her right hand on her hip as she held the pipe in her left. "Goodness." Tim finally relaxed, straightening up.

"Name's Nora! You got a name, yourself, sideburns?" The ginger grinned at her 'clever' nickname. Tim blinked, slightly confused at her sudden change in temperament.

"Tim." he replied slowly.

"Tim? Hm." Nora pretended to stroke a beard. "I prefer sideburns. That alright by you? Don't care, it's what I'm calling you." Tim opened his mouth to reply, then realized he had no idea what to say to this girl, so he closed it. "Anyway. Whatcha doing wandering around an old abandoned hospital like a creep?" Nora asked, swinging her pipe a little.

"I could ask you the same thing." Tim replied. Nora laughed.

"No you couldn't. " she stated. "I already told you."

Tim looked confused. "Wh-"

"I'm a creep. Isn't it obvious?" Nora sighed. "Anyway. You gonna answer my question or not?"

Tim blinked a few times, trying to think up a story that would make her believe it. "I'm doing some uh.. location scouting for a film." He told her the first thing that came to mind.

"Really? Nora asked, cocking an eyebrow. "What kind of movie would be able to use this old dump? Some low budget crap, that's wh- is that a camera? Are you recording this?" Nora suddenly snatched the camera from Tim's hand. She held it up, looking into the lens. "Dude, this thing is sick!" Tim grabbed the camera back.

"Don't mess with it." he stated, checking to make sure she hadn't stopped the recording.

"Well, excuuuse me, princess." Nora grumbled, rolling her eyes. "Anyway. Who was that guy? And don't tell me you don't know, cuz I can tell you do."

Tim's eyes widened slightly. "He's.. uh, he's just a friend of mine. He was scouting with me."

Nora quirked her eyebrow again. "Then why didn't you go after him? And why did he come after me with a rock? Some nice friends ya got, sideburns."

Tim sighed. "He's always been a ... weird one."

Nora didn't reply, simply staring at him. "Weird how?" she asked finally.

Tim groaned. "Why do you asked so many questions?"

"Cuz I'm curious."

"Yeah, well, curiosity killed the cat."

"Yeah, well, I'm not a cat. Soooo."

Tim groaned loudly. "Oh my...."

Nora made a face, sticking her bottom lip out as she mocked the man in a stupid voice. "Ahmehmehmehmeh."

"I just met you, and already, I don't like you."

"Likewise, sideburns."

"It's. Tim."

"I like sideburns better."

"It doesn't matter what you like better, it's my name!"

"Too. Bad!"

The two glared at each other for a few moments, neither wanting to look away first. Suddenly, Nora did the unthinkable.

In one swift motion, the ginger leaned in, narrowed her eyes, placed her hands on Tim's chest-

And shoved him backwards.

Tim, taken by surprise, stumbled backwards into the wall. As Nora laughed. "The look on your face was priceless!" she hiccuped, pointing at the man. "It was like 'OH'" she mimicked his surprised look terribly, causing her to laugh even harder.

Tim glared at her, dusting himself off. "Ok, you know what, fine. If you want to stay here with psycho hooded man, be my guest. You can obviously fend for yourself." He turned and started to storm off.

"S-sideburns, wait, I'm sorry!" Nora laughed, holding her stomach with one hand and reaching out after him with the other. She had dropped the pipe before she'd shoved him, and now it lay on the floor at her feet. Tim ignored her, continuing to stomp away through the debris towards the front door. "Heeey, c'mon now, sideburns! Don't be such a spoil sport." The ginger had managed to regain her composure, jogging after the man. Tim continued walking, trying his best to ignore the annoying girl. Nora sped up, stepping around to stand in front of the man. "Ok, ok, listen." Nora put her hands on his chest again. "I'm sorry, Tim. That was rude and I shouldn't have done it. Let me get you a coffee or something to make it up to you." Tim paused, surprised that she had actually used his name. "I know a great place we can go. Sound like a deal, big guy?"

Tim sighed. She seemed really genuine in her plea, and he could use something to keep him awake... "Alright, fine." he grumbled. Nora grinned. "Great! Let's go then!" She grabbed his hand and started dragging him towards the exit.

"Wa-wait, right now?" Tim asked in disbelief, jogging after her.

"Yeah, right now!" Nora replied, grinning from cheek to freckled cheek. "No better time than the present!"
