Chapter 10

Heyo! Yes, it's me😅 So I've decided to do a sort of recap through what happens until the Ten Commandments come in. And later on when something happens, I'll include all the flashbacks of basically what is the Hendrickson ark. It'll make more sense in a couple of chapters^^

And Thank you all for your feedback! I love you fruit pack! And yes- you are the fruit pack, no questions asked-

Y/N P.O.V

After that day, the four of us set off to find the Seven Deadly Sins. We found ourselves in a town. Apparently, a holy knight had lodged his sword into the ground, cutting off its water supply. Eventually, we were able to free the sword.

From the citizens, we found out that the Forest of White Dreams may be a potential location for one of the sins. Our hunch was right and that was where we found the Serpent Sin of Envy, Diane.

In a prison, we found the Fox Sin of Greed, Ban. We had three sins out of seven. However, the Grizzly Sin, King, was presumed dead. There was a place called the Necropolis. It was believed that there you could see the spirits of the dead.

Suddenly, Meliodas returned with news that King was alive. Ban returned with two children that told us more about the Necropolis. We all stood in front of a small clearing. "Share your precious memories with the dead," I mumbled.

Hawk, Meliodas, and Elizabeth stated that they didn't have any precious memories. "Y/N? You're awfully quiet," Elizabeth spoke softly. I bit my lip. "I-I mean....there are a lot of people I could think off.....but-," I muttered softly.

"Woah, Ban! I thought that flowers totally weren't your style," Diane called out. All of a sudden, flowers surronded us in a whirlwind.

I closed my eyes to avoid the dust in my eyes, but when I opened them the scenery around us had completely changed. Suddenly, Ban ran off. "Ban! Wait!" I mumbled, but my voice never reached him.

"....Y/N...."

A familar voice rang through my ears. I turned around almost immediately. "No...it can't be.." I mumbled. The rest of the group ran after Ban, but I ran in the opposite direction. "Ace...I could've sworn that I heard you," Tears welled up in my E/C eyes.

"Am I going crazy?" I mumbled. "You're not going crazy, okay?! I did speak to you. You just took forever to find me!" There he stood in front of me......a boy that I thought of as family. The tears fell. "You idiot!" I sobbed. "You absolute idiot! Why'd you protect me? I would've been fine-"

He sighed and shook his head. "It's not your fault. I knew what I was doing and I did it. We can't change that," he walked over to me and gave me a hug. "You protected Mika and the triplets and for that I'm grateful. I've been watching over them! You wanna know how they're doing?" Ace smiled.

I nodded. "Please..." Ace smiled brightly and started. "Mika's now 24 and she's currently traveling around with Knox, who's now 25. Zander's 20 and Azure's 23. They both stayed in the village to help protect it. They all never forget about you. All four of them love to tell stories about our adventures," Ace smiled.

"Oh! And I haven't been lonely if you're worried. Liz and umm-- 105 other Elizabeth's have kept me company! It's a little weird to be honest-" he rubbed the back of his neck. I shook my head with a sigh.

"You are something. Wait- does that mean that you know about the curse?!" I asked. Ace nodded and gave me a smile. "Oh! And don't worry. I actually figured out that.....they're all alive. Your brother, Tarmiel, Gerheade, Gloxinia, Drole, Zeldris. They're all alive,"

....¤¤...¤¤...¤¤....

After that day, I felt like I was starting to become myself again. They were all alive and that was enough to give me hope. After a long time of travelling, we found Gowther and Merlin. Although, soon after we ran into trouble.

Elizabeth was captured by a mage and Meliodas was enraged. That led to a whole battle. Luckily, we managed to save Elizabeth, but she had unlocked her power.

After that, for some reason, I had started to cry, but I made up an excuse. I wasn't that surprised. I was afraid every time something could possibly trigger her memory. We were able to bring Hendrickson down. We were all injured, but we were all able to recover within time.

The king invited us all to a medal ceremony. We all attented, but as we were walking back to the Boar Hat, a great shiver went through everyone. A dark magical presence could be felt in the air. A large tremor shook the Earth.

Meliodas looked back at me with wide eyes. "They're back," he growled. My eyes were wide. I could barely believe it. "After 3000 years....." I mumbled. "you've kept your promise...Zeldris..."

...¤¤....¤¤....¤¤...

King and Ban left for the Fairy Kings Forest. Over the next couple days, Meliodas acted off. I could tell that it was bothering him. Meliodas and I stood alone in the Boar Hat. "I'm sure that you felt it too," Meliodas spoke suddenly, breaking the tense silence.

I nodded. "Yeah, the Ten Commandments.....they're back," I mumbled. "Make sure to not stray too far away from any of us. We don't know what the Ten Commandments are planning, but- Zeldris may come for you. However, I'll leave it up to you....to decide what you'll do about everything," his voice was soft.

I nodded and gave him a soft smile. "Yeah, I'll make sure to stay close,"

...¤¤....¤¤....¤¤..

Meliodas had an errand to run, so he had to leave. I decided to go find Elizabeth and Diane. They'd been out for a long time.

"Hey! That's Zeal, isn't it?" I waved to the two girls once I found them. Diane nodded, but they both seemed distraught. "It is, but he seems to have lost his memories. He doesn't even remember Guila!" Elizabeth exclaimed.

"I see, we should go see if we can find Guila then. Maybe she'd know something!" I offered. Without another word, the four of us ran through the streets to find the explosive holy knight.

"Guila! Somethings happened to Zeal!" Diane cried. Guila stood next to Gowther with a puzzled look. "Who might you be?" She spoke. Diane's eyes widened as she set Zeal down. "Come on, stop playing around! This is your little brother Zeal!"

"I don't have a brother," Guila started. "This man is the only family I have," she gestured to the pink haired male beside her, Gowther. Elizabeth gasped. "Gowther- you didn't-"

"You manipulated their memories?" Diane asked in disbelief. "It was both a nessicary action and process for me. For me to build a relationship with Guila, I concluded that her brother's existence was unessicary. I want to have a heart of my very own. A heart that can comprehend emotions," Gowther finished.

"I've attempted to learn about friendship from the Captain and Ban, but during their battle the other day, I observed an even greater emotion. That, would be love," Gowther continued.

"I decided that I should study love rather than friendship. And for that, this woman suited my needs perfectly," Gowther continued in his usual monotone voice. "Wait?! Does that mean you faked saving Guila?!" Diane shouted.

"I did save her, but demon's blood rampages due to feelings of inferiority towards others which causes them to attack the weak. After erasing those memories, I replaced them with memories of her being my betrothed, my apprentice, of having a happy childhood, and becoming a holy knight on her own merits. Though it took a while, the procedure was flawless," the doll concluded.

Diane clenched her fist. "No matter what the reason! It is not alright to manipulate someone's mind!" Diane shouted. "But her memories were filled with pain. Are you still going to tell me that she'd be happy with her original memories?"

"Yes!" I finally shouted. "No matter how painful those memories are, they're what make us stronger! No matter how much pain they're filled with....we learn from them! No matter how many people we loose, we still find a way to break through! The memories we make are precious to us!" I exclaimed.

"Incomprehensible," was Gowther's reply. "The love that Guila and I share doesn't need such an existence," he added. Diane scoffed. "This is going nowhere. Elizabeth! Bring the Captain or Merlin here!"

"But-" Elizabeth started. "Elizabeth, just believe in us, okay?" I smiled. With hesitation, Elizabeth nodded and ran away. "I won't let you get in my way!" Gowther tried to strike Diane, but she caught his wrist. He tried to strike Elizabeth, but I directed it into the wall. "Enough Gowther!" I proclaimed.

Gowther jumped away and into the air. "If we keep fighting like this, we're going to have a real problem!" Diane spoke. "That does seem troublesome," he mumbled. "So, Sacred Treasure, Double Bow Harlit! Blackout!" All of a sudden, none of us could move and time stopped. It was as gone as soon as it came.

Suddenly, everyone around us was unconscious. "Gowther, what did you do!?" I was in shock. "All living things in a three mile radius of where I'm standing now with a spirit level less than 400 has gone unconscious," he explained.

"In the end, all memories are simply just information. Easyto create. Easy to delete. I wish to learn what's beyond that. About emotions," Gowther continued.

"I wish to as well, but I know that memories aren't just pieces of information! I lost my memories of King and I'll never forgive myself for that, but I got them back! Probably because they were carved deep into my heart!" Diane cried.

"Memories aren't just things you can change. They're precious. They keep us going even in the darkest times! For 3000 years, I've endured so much pain, but my happy memories kept me going! Precious memories, aren't just things you can erase!" I added, my voice breaking as the tears fell.

"Incomprehensibe," Gowther spoke again. He ran straight towards us, but Diane stopped him with pillars of earth. Gowther sent his arrows towards Diane and I, but we were able to dodge them. "Strength: 950, as expected of a giant. Strength: 740, quite impressive for a simple human," Gowther spoke.

"It seems that I'm over matched without a sacred treasure," I looked over at Diane and nodded. She knew what I meant and started doing quick handsigns. Two golems appeared from the ground. I used my light to enchant them with armor so that they could withstand more damage.

"Double Bow Harlit!" Gowther's light engulfed the two giants. "Hijack!" The two giants started to attack the both of us. I immediately transferred the light armor to Diane. "Go Diane!" I shouted.

Diane threw herself up into the air and held her hand out to punch Gowther. "That's enough! Snap out of it!" Diane punched Gowther.

Merlin, Meliodas, and Elizabeth came to our aid and calmed Gowther down. "Gowther, do you realize what you've done?" Merlin asked. Gowther didn't look anyone in the eye. "Please lock me up. Far away from everyone else. And hurry, before I stop being myself," he spoke softly.

"We'll finish our talk later, Merlin," Meliodas mentioned. Merlin nodded. "All right,"

Gowther returned Guila's memories. The two hugged eachother tightly as they cried. "But I meant you no harm-" with that comment, Meliodas hit Gowther straight up on the head. "I apologize,"

"If I had a heart, I would say that I'm sorry from the bottom of my heart. I never should have attempted to manipulate your memories. I've betrayed your trust to discover more about love," the pinkette apologized.

Guila shook her head. "No, I have no write to blame you. Because of my own weaknesses, I've made mistakes that can never be undone. Even though I didn't deserve it, you tried to save me. Besides, they weren't all made up. You showed me some of my real memories. Like the memories of my father, the Holy Knight Dale. Gowther, thank you for giving those back to me,"

Guila and Zeal left, only for another to approach. "Slader, of the Roars of Dawn, right?" Merlin spoke. Slader stood on top of a large rock with his sword in hand. "Perfect timing. I have an urgent favor to ask of you,"

"No way, that guy only obeys the king," Meliodas chuckled. His eyes went wide when he was proven wrong. "Your wish is my command," that sentence made Meliodas whisper to Slader. "Does Merlin have some sort of dirt on you?"

Slader explained to Meliodas that he was inspired by her magical power. Merlin requested for Slader to watch after Gowther, who was revealed to be a doll.

...¤¤....¤¤....¤¤..

We all returned to the Boar Hat, but I didn't say much. My head felt fuzzy, but I couldn't explain it. I was in my own little world, in my own thoughts.

Slam!

Abruptly, I was brought back to my senses when the door slammed. It wasn't long before the Elizabeth and Slader came back inside. Merlin gasped. "Our objective has changed. There is an abnormally large power source in Camelot,"

Merlin immediately teleported the entire Boar Hat there. When our surrondings changed, I realized we were in Camelot. When we ran outside, we were met with a giant. "An Albion," I muttered. "It's true then. Some of the Demon Race is here," I muttered.

Before I knew it, Meliodas had explained the Albion. When the Albion attacked, a barrier appeared around Camelot. Within three strike's it broke. King Arthur and his men did their best to attack it.

When the Albion breathed in fire, Meliodas hit it back using Full Counter. Meliodas and Arthur's men ran to attack the Albion, but Arthur got caught in its hand. Meliodas used the sword given to him by Liz to cut him out, but the sword crumbled.

Merlin threw Meliodas' lost treasure back to him. With his four clones and his full counter, the Albion was destroyed.

We all gathered together. Merlin proceeded to explain how Meliodas' clones work. I glanced over at Elizabeth and she looked down. "I see that sir Meliodas doesn't need me. I wanted to show him how strong I am, but-" I walked over to Elizabeth and pat her head.

"He needs you more than you think. Don't ever doubt yourself. He's just trying to protect you. He doesn't want you to go and get yourself killed. In fact, he's very fond of you, Elizabeth," I smiled brightly at her.

Suddenly, the ground started to shake. Before any of us could comprehend what happened. Something landed right in front of us, lifting up massive amounts of dust. "72 steps, huh?"

When the dust cleared, a figure in red armour revealed itself. "I thought it would only take me 70 steps to get here. I suppose I'm out of practice after 3000 years," my eyes widened.

"You're Galand, of the Ten Commandments!" Meliodas shouted. Galand laughed. "Just as I suspected. It is you, isn't it? Haha! To think that after all this time has passed;  you'd still be in that form," Galand laughed.

"H-how can a monster like this even exist in the world?" Diane spoke in utter fear. Hawk's magical eye started to shake.

"How can this be? A power of 26,000!"
